LAS Nursery is an independent Ofsted graded GOOD nursery (May 2023), based in Hackney, for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is open from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

LAS nursery is set in an old schoolhouse building, with spacious rooms that have been beautifully decorated and are flooded with natural light.

Facilities include a private garden equipped with mud kitchens, a water play station, dedicated area for non walkers, planters, a bird feeding wall and picnic tables.

There is a sensory room with a range of sensory toys, mirrors, a ball pit, lights and a tee pee filled with cushions for some quiet time.

Meal times are spent together around the table in the canteen where meals are served from the onsite kitchen. All meals and snacks are nutritionist approved and prepared on site but the nursery chef.

The nursery team is qualified in early years education, experienced and dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for all children.

The curriculum is planned around the EYFS and includes a wide variety of inspiring learning activities and daily extra curricular sessions including yoga, music and movement, Forest School, cooking club, French and Portuguese lessons - all included within the fees. There are regular excursions to the local park, nearby library and farm to name a few.

There is a strong emphasis on parent partnership to deliver the best learning experiences according to the individual needs of every child. The nursery runs monthly parent workshops covering topics from first aid to baby massage to fussy eating and speech development as well as family events with the children.

My son has attended the nursery for over 2 years now and from the very first day my son would run inside as he has always been so comfortable and happy to come to school here. I have nothing but great things to say about my son's experience attending the nursery. The teachers are so approachable, caring,
and passionate! I am extremely grateful for the effort they put into teaching my son how to write and spell as it was a bit of a struggle for him. So I look forward to my other son joining the school next year so he can go on the exact same amazing journey my first son did. Thank you Little Angels' Schoolhouse!

I'm very happy with this nursery, the staff are always so friendly and offer a caring approach with my son. Every morning my son goes in to nursery he sees all the outdoor activities prepared and he gets so excited to see what he is going to do during the day. The activities within the classroom have
exceeded my son's speech and other important motor skills. I am very content knowing he is in a safe and fun space also including he has made bonds with some staff which is very comforting.

My child has been going to Little Angels' Schoolhouse Nursery since he was 6 months old. Over time, Little Angels' Schoolhouse staff became his family. I am grateful for the true affection they have developed for him - you can see that it is not just a job for them, they really put their heart into
what they do. Little Angels' Schoolhouse is a happy place: each member goes above and beyond their possibilities to make the nursery a place suitable for the needs of each child. They set up numerous activities every day to stimulate the kids and enhance their confidence - painting, cooking, gardening just to mention a few. They master in maintaining always an open communication with the parents: they send regular updates/photos on the activities the kids are doing and provide daily feedback. The nursery itself is beautiful, each room is spacious and full of natural light and they have a very nice outdoor space. I fully recommend Little Angels' Schoolhouse - if my son is the happy and independent boy he is today, it is also their merit. So, thank you Little Angels' Schoolhouse!

There were a few things that made us choose Little Angel's: the staff is friendly, the management is warm and open to our questions/worries, the rooms are spacious with big windows and natural light, and the outdoor play area is nice. The settling-in process (up to 2 weeks) was very reassuring, allowing
us parents to be present in the rooms for a fair amount of time. The year started with new management, and we are very pleased with all the changes. The nursery is growing stronger. The rooms have been refreshed and are beautiful. There is a Head of Early Years who brought new care to the nursery curriculum, offering a diverse range of learning activities, including some extracurriculars such as language lessons (French and Portuguese), yoga, and a gardening club. The staff is very kind and nurturing, and our key person is a dream. Through an app, we get updates on a daily basis. We like the option to view our child throughout the day on iWatch, very reassuring as first-time parents.

Our daughter has been coming here full-time for over two years now, and she has been very happy. Little Angels' have supported our daughter from just under one year old who was learning to walk to a confident, curious three-year-old full of personality. The staff are truly excellent and under the leadership
of the new management, the nursery is going from strength to strength. We have been particularly impressed with the range of new rooms and activities on offer as well as the diverse range of activities on offer. Communication with parents is very good- it is truly a delight to get updates when at work during the day to see what they are up to in the nursery. The rooms are airy and spacious and the outdoor space is fantastic. It is very nice on warm and sunny afternoons to do pick up and to see all the children playing outside. The other parents are lovely and the children are very kind to each other- it is clear the ethos of kindness is very important at the nursery.

My daughter has been attending Little Angels' Schoolhouse Nursery for over a year. We did have a bump in settling as she did not want me to leave her and would become very tearful. The staff were extremely patient and helpful with this part of the transition process. A year later my child looks forward
to coming to nursery and has even asked if she could do more days. Friendly staff, lovely space and a very happy 3 year old who loves coming to nursery.

Little Angels' Schoolhouse is great and thoughtfully decorated with kids in mind (sensorial room, kitchen corners, postal office, arts and crafts corner and muddy kitchen).
It provides a wide range of daily activities including reading, arts, crafts, music, sports, yoga, Portuguese classes and creative
free play. My daughter goes there two days per week and she loves it. The food is very healthy and different every week.

We're really glad we put our daughter into Little Angels' Schoolhouse. We were a bit apprehensive at first as it's a smaller independent nursery, but my wife did a tour and was impressed - the staff were warm and welcoming, the prices fair and the opening hours fit in with our busy work schedules.
Our
daughter started there before her first birthday, and being at Little Angels has really helped her. She's a lot more confident and happy. She's also eating very well (her weight was an issue before), and the meals are always interesting and varied.
The carers are super supportive and patient with her, and she has a good bond with them. She looks forward to going into Little Angels every morning now.

We are really grateful we found Little Angels and its whole team! Very familiar, everyone knows our kid's name and is really caring with him, from the manager to the chef. Our son goes in really happy every day. The team respects his pace but also encourages him to develop and teaches him how to ask
for objects or do as much as he can on his own. We get updates on a daily basis on schedule, eating, sleeping, etc and are more punctual on milestones. They have a nice playground area outdoors and well-maintained facilities. I would definitely recommend this great nursery and its lovely team to anyone who asks me!

Our daughter attended this nursery from the age of 9 months to 2 years and loved it from the very beginning. I found the staff very caring and loving towards her and she received a lot of 1:1 attention which was very reassuring. We appreciated the option to view our daughter throughout the day on iWatch,
which again was very reassuring as first time parents. The parents' app was so helpful to us to understand our daughter's eating/sleeping habits/routine and her learning journey. She has really missed the nursery as we have had to move from the area but I'm grateful her first nursery experience has been so positive.

We sent our son from the time he was 3 months to 1 year old, unfortunately, we had to move, otherwise we would have left our son at Little Angels Schoolhouse.
Their staff is highly professional and very loving, always keeping us up to date with our son's development.
Our son loved it and so did we.
Their facilities are spacious, clean and modern. We loved the detailed and instant updates on the Famly App as well as the ability to view our son having fun through the iwatch cameras.

Little Angels' Schoolhouse has given my child such a joyful and rich nursery experience. He is always so happy to be there and amazes me with all that he learns. The app ensures that you get regular observations and updates, as well as showing you a sleep and food log. Staff are extremely personable,
caring and nurturing, and have built positive relationships with my child. As a new mum, I just wanted my child to be happy and safe, but this nursery has offered so much more than this. He is thriving.
The menus are full of nutritious meals, and I am pleased he is experiencing such a broad range of flavours.

I would highly recommended Little Angels Schoolhouse, my son started around 2 months ago and has settled in so quickly.


He has lots of fun during the day with all sorts of activities and games and has formed lovely bonds with the staff.


Plus he eats a wide variety of delicious meals during the

day! He especially loves their smoothie bowls.

My son, who is eleven months today, started to join the nursery a few months ago and I can tell all the progress that he has made since he started. He’s loving it, always happy to go there and to meet the staff who are absolutely lovely with him. It is a pleasure for him but as well for us! Also, given
the condition with the Covid-19, I think the nursery has really adapted all the guidelines depending on the restrictions and they are doing their very best to keep us informed in the best way, as well as communicate some images and videos every day for any news of our little one! We can see he’s having a lot of fun every day, connecting with the other kids which is a luxury during a Covid-19 period and doing a lot of things. We think it was the best during this period especially, to have him there and find again some kind of routine.

Our eighteen month old has been at Little Angels' Schoolhouse for just over six months now and we really feel we lucked out with this nursery and the amazing staff. They are so attentive to his development and we have really seen him grow and learn so much in the last few months. He loves going in every
day to play with his pals and we really enjoy the updates that we receive now through the app. The app tracks milestones, observations and where the staff share any pictures and videos of fun activities that they have been up to with the children. They have been truly supportive during these uncertain times and remained open throughout the lockdown, going above and beyond to put precautions in place and communicate everything with us. We really couldn't be happier, he is in a small class and gets lots of attention and I have already recommended this nursery to our friends.

  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').     The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
