How the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

I love this nursery, they provide a caring and nurturing environment for my child. The staff in the upstairs babyroom are amazing.

To make things better, there could be more challenging activities for the toddlers such as puzzles. There could also be vocabulary building activities. The meals are alright but there could be more variety.
Staff are extremely helpful and caring towards children, however, I would love for my child to leave nursery as clean as they arrived. I wish they would have uniforms instead of their own clothes, as nursery prices are really high.

All staff at the nursery are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, caring and super supportive to the parents, who try to settle their children into the nursery.

Last August bank holiday (2017), my child (then aged 2 years + 5 months) got very upset about nursery being closed for the day. I had planned a special day out for us and he didn't want to know! That's when I realised how happy he is at Marsham Street. Since then, he has developed strong friendships with his peers and it's clear he has a few favourite members of staff. I value this because part of the reason we have put him in a nursery rather than another form of childcare is I want him to get a lot of socialisation. My child is happy to see us when we pick him up but there are no tears at drop-off in the mornings. The food is nutritious, the menus are well designed and he gets time to play outside as well as rest. The programme of field trips for the pre-schoolers is developing well. Sometimes he surprises me with things he's learned at nursery; singing songs I don't necessarily know or using a mnemonic I've not heard. I am sure he will be well prepared to start school next year.

The children seem to spend a lot of time learning nursery rhymes and reading stories. I have been pleasantly surprised when he comes home and sings an entire rhyme.
The meals are very healthy and there is always an alternative meal choice available. He loves the cosy sensory room and the outings are very good, like the recent trip to see the fire engines which my son loved.
The staff are also very friendly and caring. I have noticed almost every morning he says "I go nursery " in an exciting way and often the same thing when he returns home in the evening. I think this is a great indicator of how happy he is at the nursery so a special thank you to all the staff.

Marsham Street Nursery is absolutely delightful! Our son is well looked after, stimulated and happy. From his very first day (when I was a nervous wreck!), we were made to feel welcome. He has flourished with very dedicated and kind staff and a well-resourced baby room.

Marsham Street is a fantastic nursery and my 2 year old absolutely loves attending. Both the outdoor space and use of indoor space, great. The staff are wonderful, and whilst turnover is higher than I'd like, they're all still friendly, capable, and my child enjoys the company of all the staff with which he spends regular time. His key worker fully understands his style of learning and how best to help him progress. The balance between learning and play is exactly what I was looking for in a nursery and the staff continue to improve their range of fun and interesting activities. The food cooked on site is prepared to a very high standard and is thoroughly enjoyed by my child, however, at breakfast, the children are offered corn flakes and crispy rice cereal neither of which I think are nutritious enough so I provide a cooked breakfast beforehand. Overall I am extremely happy with Marsham Street and continue to recommend it to any parents that are looking for their child.

My son has attended Marsham Street since the age of one and he is now two and a half. My husband and I have been delighted with the love, care and attention shown by the nursery staff from the very beginning and consistently throughout his time here. In the baby room, every effort was made to make him feel secure and settled, and also to reassure and support us as parents, clearly nervous to leave him for the first time. Now in the toddler room, the staff are equally as caring, supportive and enthusiastic - focused on his development and well-being. What is also worth mentioning here is how much effort the nursery puts into engaging with the parents through parties and events, and also the thought that is put into special visits and activities for the children. Before enrolling at the nursery, we had a couple of nannies and I can say without a doubt that I felt so much more comfortable leaving him at Marsham Street - it was the best decision we've made. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Daily feedback and parent's evenings give us insightful updates on her interests and developments.
Parents are invited to tea parties on Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day and Christmas. The staff run workshops for parents to learn about Makaton and how children learn through play.
Daily activities vary and provide ample opportunities for children to explore and discover in groups and on their own. My child loves to sing and read with her friends at circle time. She enjoys exploring in the sensory room and running around in the two outdoor gardens situated on premise.
Balanced meals are prepared fresh on-site every day. The nursery manager is hands-on and addresses parents’ requests promptly and in a very satisfactory manner.

He also loves the sensory room there. He has made so much development progress at the nursery.
The food is well prepared on site. We are also very pleased with the overall security of the nursery. We have already registered for our second unborn baby at this nursery.

The staff are brilliant, creating a range of interesting and fun activities. We have only had one minor issue on the food front when temporary staff were there. I have looked at other nurseries and none had such a warm, caring atmosphere.

Hello, my name is Merita and I joined LEYF in 2011. I trained as a lawyer in Kosovo before moving to the UK in 1992, when I started working with young families and children. I am a passionate supporter of LEYF’s social purpose to give all children the very best start in life, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds who might otherwise not be able to access high-quality Early Years education and care.
