8.9 Marsham Street Community Nursery has a Review Score of 8.9 (8.881)

The Review Score of 8.9 (maximum of 10) for Marsham Street Community Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Marsham Street Community Nursery in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.767 for Marsham Street Community Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.767

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.114 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marsham Street Community Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.75

    2. Target of 11 positive Reviews (55 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 4 Reviews ÷ 11 Target = 0.364

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Reviewer Connection to Marsham Street Community Nursery

The only "challenge" I have with this nursery is that my boy loves it so much and doesn't want to go home in the evening.
The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. They put a lot of effort into teaching children and developing their skills. (just one example - by one year my boy was able to feed himself independently without any work done by myself at home). I get daily feedback from his key-person and more in-depth report at the parents' meetings. All my requests are taken seriously and satisfied promptly. I am very happy with this nursery (and especially with the staff in 3rd floor baby room!) and highly recommend it to everybody.

I visited five nurseries in the area. Very pleased that I have made the right decision to send my son to Marsham Street. He started at 6.5 months and absolutely loves it.
The staff are very caring and there are always enough staff in the room. There are two outdoor play areas which is a big plus in the area.
He also loves the sensory room there. He has made so much development progress at the nursery.
The food is well prepared on site. We are also very pleased with the overall security of the nursery. We have already registered for our second unborn baby at this nursery.

I am very pleased with the LEYF Marsham Street nursery. The staff is absolutely lovely and takes very good care of my seven month old. My son has been going for the last three months and I can tell that he really enjoys himself there, loves the staff and gets the right amount of stimulation.
The rooms are very clean and light. They have a lovely sensory room and great outside space. My baby also seems to enjoy the good food prepared by the chef which is great. Finally, the staff is also very good at helping new parents and reassuring them on any question they may have about young babies. It is very comforting.
They also offer workshops on play, sign language and regular meetings with parents.

I’m so pleased we chose Marsham St for our one year old. My eldest also went to a LEYF nursery so we already knew it’s a great organisation with motivated, committed staff.
Both baby rooms here are brilliant and the staff are a great mix of caring, professional and enthusiastic. My son has settled super quickly and smiles and claps when we reach the nursery door!
His key workers really understand what makes him happy, adapt activities to meet their interests and they work with you through the many developmental stages at this age. The food is also fab, which was really important to me. I would thoroughly recommend Marsham Street to anyone looking.

Our son has been at this nursery for over 3 years, and he loves it! We have had tears leaving nursery on more than one occasion as he doesn't want to leave, which I think says how much he enjoys it! The staff are brilliant, creating a range of interesting and fun activities. We have only had one minor issue on the food front when temporary staff were there. I have looked at other nurseries and none had such a warm, caring atmosphere.
