Very pleasant environment where children can learn many new things. It built up my daughter's self-confidence and satisfied her curiosity. She learned to share which was very important for me as a parent.

We have just gotten our son settle into the baby room. His sister had just graduated from preschool. The staff have all been extremely helpful and flexible in his transition stage and have been key in ensuring he settled in happily which he has - he enjoys his days and the activities support his development
(we are already seeing signs of this).
He loves coming to the baby room - many smiles - his meals he enjoys hugely - the weaning menu is great and adapted. Thank you very much.

As a first time mother and having to leave my son with someone else, I was really anxious.
However, after the first day, I realised I had nothing to worry about. My son was happy, eating well and socialising. He really loves attending the nursery and seeing all the staff and children.

This is a wonderful preschool and nursery. My little boy has been there for 2 years and has been very happy. There is always plenty to do, so they can cater for children who do not want to join in with everything. Food is freshly cooked on site. There is only a small outside area, but it is well utilised.
Having
had a bad experience with a different nursery, this one is so much better, I fully recommend it.

The nursery has really been excellent for my son. His language skills have improved drastically as a consequence of interacting with his peers.

My daughter started at the nursery just after Easter 2017. We were offered a comfortable stretch for settling in prior to her starting, which really helped her get used to her new surroundings.
The staff have always been really attentive, and keep me up to date with my daughter's activities and progress.
My daughter loves going to nursery, and thoroughly enjoys her time there.

As our second son is finishing his first full week at Elizabeth Terrace, joining his older brother, we are best pleased to review the nursery.. and we are very happy.
Our eldest son has flourished in the nursery room and comes home every day having learnt new things, singing new songs, reciting the
alphabet or months of the year - he is constantly surprising us. All the nursery staff care for and support our son in his ongoing development and without their input he would not be the bright, intuitive, polite little boy that he is.
I have felt so confident and at ease during the settling in period for my second son and this has helped the whole family in his new transition. I know that when I return to work my sons are being cared for, supported and taught the skills they need to grow into confident little boys.

Carers, nursery teachers are very good, always encouraging my child to come into the nursery and join other children. This helps as it saves time for me to help my child settle in and allows me to get to work on time. I am always updated of my sons progress and this happens regularly. My son appears
happy to be in the nursery which is a reflection that he is receiving good care in the nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.501)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.501) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Eltham Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Bright Horizons Eltham Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (88 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.584 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Eltham Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 number of registered child places is 10.2. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.2 = 0.784
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello, my name is Chloe and I started working at Bright Horizons in 2016.

Whilst undertaking my degree in Education and Early years I always knew I wanted to work with Preschool aged children. I thrive on ensuring quality is present within all rooms, allowing children to have a stimulating environment which is fun and exciting for them throughout the day. I have a strong belief in team appreciation and further developing the team with training and knowledge.
