My son has been attending this nursery since he was one year old (he is two and a half now) for two full days a week and we are very happy with his development. All the staff are friendly and kind and there is a lovely atmosphere in the nursery. They are also competitively priced and haven't increased
prices much since we started with them. I highly recommend this nursery.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to the manager of this setting, and all the staff working at the Eastwood day nursery for taking such great care of our son. My son started to attend this nursery when he was 2 years old, and we regretted we didn't send him earlier! He had some mobility issues
due to a developmental delay and therefore he needed extra care. He also was non-verbal and this undoubtedly was a challenge for the nursery staff. However, nobody ever complained about him and they did everything as possible to ensure he would be included in every activity. This is truly an inclusive nursery. They supported us as a family in every possible way, they went above and beyond their duty to ensure that we parents and my son were happy. The nursery has a huge outdoor space and the kids are welcome to explore it. The children do lots of interesting activities. I highly recommend this nursery as it is a nurturing place for children.

Eastwood has been brilliant for our daughter. She started when she was six months old in 2019 and is still there as of August 2022. We are very happy our daughter looks forward to going to nursery every day. The staff are lovely and you can tell the kids really love them and enjoy their company. This
is one of the last council nurseries. The facilities can be newer and cleaner but to be honest, this is not that important to me. It's more important that the kids are developing and are looked after properly which is what they are getting.

We have had our baby daughter in the nursery from July 2021 and our experience has been very positive. The staff are very caring and attentive, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and our baby has always looked forward to going to her little Blossom class. They offer a range of interactive activities,
lots of arts and crafts, outdoor play, visits to the local library as well as university grounds for the forest school. The meals are wholesome, varied, and regular, too. The exterior looks slightly worn but that didn’t put us off and I am very happy we chose this nursery for our child.

All three of our children have been at Eastwood Day Nursery from 10/11 months old to heading off to school. Our twins are finishing with them this month and we are going to be sad to be leaving the nursery. The children love the adults who look after them and come home and tell us everything they've
been up to. The staff have been really good at supporting the children's individual needs. Helping us manage behaviours across home and nursery and helping with accommodations and recommendations for one of our son's behaviour. The staff are really good at teaching and tracking against the early years framework, and feeding back to parents. We choose Eastwood Day Nursery over other private nurseries because the governance and training sits with Wandsworth education. The staff get regular training and the team leads all have qualifications in early years. This is reflected in the quality of the care, and how great a team they are.

My son went to Eastwood Day Nursery since he was 8 months old and had the best care there! I am a full time working mum and had never been concerned about my son because I knew he had the best caregivers. My son is an active boy and they have an amazing setting and a big garden to challenge him enough!
He went there really happy every single day and we really recommend Eastwood Day Nursery to the parents.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.7 (7.683) out of 10 for Eastwood Day Nursery & Creche is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.583 for Eastwood Day Nursery & Creche is calculated as follows: ( (7 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.583
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.1 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eastwood Day Nursery & Creche is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
