Asquith Finsbury Park has had some good managers over the last few years. However, their problem is with retention of this good management. Since summer 2016 we have been very unhappy with management- new managers have not introduced themselves and are not around much. We would hesitate to recommend this nursery based on this feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to review our nursery, we always appreciate parent feedback. We are glad that you are happy in the main but understand your concerns. Since the period mentioned the management team have made extensive effort to be more visible and now sit on the front desk to greet parents as they arrive. A strategy and consequent plan has been developed to nurture staff retention as well as appointing a strong management team who are committed to building and maintaining strong communication and links with parents. We hope that you are already seeing the benefits of this new approach, however, if you still have any concerns please speak to us when you are next in nursery to see how we can improve your experience of our setting.

I highly appreciate the care provided to my son who is 13 months at this nursery. They helped my son settle and he is a happy toddler. He does not cry when we drop him in the morning and is a happy chap when we collect him in the afternoon.

Finsbury Park Day Nursery provides good and exciting care for my son. He has enjoyed coming into nursery because he gets to play and interact with other children and the staff.

My little boy started at Asquith as a 10-month-old and remained until he started primary school. It is a beautifully equipped nursery site and the garden renovations made a real difference. The best thing about the nursery was that I always felt my little one was given affection, supervision and care. There were particular "stars" over the years, all of whom went out of their way to challenge and teach as well as to care. Areas that I felt could be improved included quality of written communication, the degree of education and structure as children got older and above all, staff retention and contact as to when they moved on. But overall it was a good experience albeit poor in the first six months and I was grateful to many there.
Thank you for your feedback, it is most welcome. We have been working on many of the issues that you have raised over the past few months to improve our service.

Following a change in management, staff have been working more closely as a team which has resulted in improved staff retention. We have promoted a few staff within the nursery to room leader. We will continue to invest in our staff to ensure this continues.
Our new room leader in our Pre-school room, who has instilled a solid routine and introduced more focus on learning and development through play and interest in preparation for school.
Our resources are now replenished each month to maintain interest.
We have created lots more areas to explore and learn on the way in every room.
We have taken on board parents feedback and communication and as a result is a lot stronger. Alongside our regular newsletters, we have created a booklet detailing each member of staff and who each child's key person is for parents.
We do operate an open door policy and greatly appreciate parents feedback to contrinue to improve our services for children and their parents.
Many thanks and warm regards,Nic
