Good:
- Nursery is large, with lots of facilities.
- Recently refurbished and starting to look okay.
- Large play area outside, very good when it gets warmer.
- Meals are frequent and healthy.
- The nursery hours are extremely convenient.
-
Bad:
- Staff turnover seems high up to nursery manager level.
- Staff absences are sudden and can be extended. My daughter's first key worker was suddenly called away to work at another nursery and was away for months. Her most recent key worker told me that she'd be going on extended holiday on the day she was leaving, not mentioning that she'd be away for 3 weeks.
- Buggy parking.
- Often when I enter the nursery, the staff will be talking amongst themselves, parents aren't greeted or directed to appropriate rooms if their child has been moved.
- Expensive for what you get at the younger end of the spectrum.
