Kids 1st Gosforth

Extremely accommodating/flexible nursery, especially during these Covid times where the situation is constantly on the change. Very welcoming and attentive staff. My 2-year-old is so content here and loves the food.

Our daughter started at Kids 1st age 18 months during the first lockdown in April 2020 after our previous nursery temporarily closed. We are keyworkers and needed childcare. We have found the team professional, caring and supportive. Our little girl speaks very happily about her friends, the staff at the nursery, and the things she gets up to. She races to get in the door in the morning! The feedback we get suggests the team really know our daughter and that she can be herself at nursery. We are impressed with the care she receives and find the management team efficient and organised.

My son has been at Kids 1st since he was 9-months-old, and while I was always happy with the nursery services, over the last year within the pandemic, I have found it to be fantastic! And a lifesaver to some degree as myself and my husband are both key workers. The staff are great and have maintained an upbeat cheery attitude during this period, and the manager has always been a great source of help! A great nursery that my son absolutely loves!

A fantastic Nursery, who go above and beyond for children and their parents. Staff are very helpful and supportive. My little girls love going to Nursery and it's fantastic to see all of the lovely things she gets up when she is there on Parent Zone. The staff and manager know all parents and children well and take the time to get to know you in a friendly and approachable manner. They have also been fantastic during Covid 19, looking after children and caring for their individual needs during such a difficult time, whilst also sending lots of activity ideas for children home learning. A lovely Nursery and I'd definitely recommend.

Kids 1st is an excellent nursery. The staff are warm and caring, the environment is very safe and secure. Especially during the pandemic, they have gone above and beyond. My daughter is extremely happy and loves going to nursery. We feel secure knowing that she is happy there.

We have been thrilled with the support and professionalism at Kids 1st Gosforth, especially in the current climate of Covid. They have excellent protocols in place to keep children, families and staff safe. These are well communicated and are sensitive to the needs of all. My two boys absolutely love the staff and as parents, we feel very confident that our boys are well looked after, cared for, and are developing well.

My wife and I were in the process of relocating to Newcastle and after a quick visit to this nursery we decided where we were going to look for a house. The show around was perfection and we haven't been disappointed since. The manager and her team are outstanding. They're kind, caring, professional, knowledgeable and supportive 100% of the time. Every single member of the team always seems happy to see you and your children. Everyone remembers your child's name and they have a great way of putting potentially nervous parents at ease. The team seem to really get to know your child. This is proven by the quality handovers completed when collecting your child and the informative parents evenings. 2020 then brought more challenges and I'm glad to say that this has in no way affected the service you receive. It is of course different but the team continue to maintain the top quality service we have been receiving from day one. Thank you, you're awesome!

I have both my children (2 and 1 year old) in this nursery and rate the standard of care as fantastic. The nursery has remained open throughout Covid and provided a safe and caring environment. The welfare of children is their number 1 priority and they have maintained a 'normal' environment for the children despite everything going on in the world. Both my children receive excellent care and the staff are very thoughtful (for example staff helped my 2 year old make a birthday card for his sister's 1st birthday without any prompting). I am at total ease taking my children to this nursery and find all staff very caring and warm. Thank you for all your hard work

Wouldn't send our child anywhere else, the covid secure environment, the staff, and the communication to parents is nothing short of exemplary. Our key worker is also brilliant, and our child has developed as a direct result of her help.

Kids 1st Gosforth is a wonderful and nurturing environment for our son. They have provided wonderful care and reassuringly excellent service. They have embraced and overcome the challenges of COVID-19 enabling my husband and I to work. We appreciate the work of the whole team during difficult times, and wish to thank them.

My son has loved going to nursery and he has settled so well with the staff, they have been amazing. He runs to the door when you ask if he wants to go to nursery today. He is full of smiles, it is great he can still interact with other children. I'm so pleased the government have decided to keep nurseries open as this is very much needed as it is the only chance they have to meet and play with other children.

We loved Kids 1st from the first visit, it felt brighter and more spacious and welcoming than any other nursery we looked at. My son is so happy to go in every day and always leaves happy. All of the staff are friendly and do a fantastic job of caring for the children. The rooms are big and have a great range of activities and toys for them and there are lots of activities to keep the children entertained as well as plenty of outdoor play space. The range of meals provided is also great. The staff at the nursery have also handled the current COVID situation amazingly and are always available to discuss any concerns. We feel safe sending our son there.

From the moment of visiting this nursery, we have been met with nothing but professionalism and kindness. My child has settled in so quickly and this is thanks to the staff, he goes in smiling which puts my mind at ease. I would highly recommend this nursery to all. This year has been an unusual one and feel that Kids 1st have been amazing, as a parent I have been kept up to date with everything going on which has made me feel more comfortable that they are a safe environment for my child! Both my youngest children attend Kids 1st Gosforth and we are delighted with the care they receive. In such a challenging year the staff have provided them with stability and emotional and intellectual support and stimulation. My eldest is in the preschool room and has come on so much. He reads letters out at home and talks about the letters and sounds he has done at nursery. He sings phonic songs he has been taught and loves to chat about his friends. He is always happy to go and we are so grateful that they have stayed open to enable my husband and I and to provide other key workers with education for their children. My youngest child was very wary of other people following the first lockdown but has become much more sociable and confident since attending Kids 1st. We get sent lovely pictures of him doing activities and he now says ‘yes’ when we ask him if he has been doing a particular activity. He too is happy and settled and no longer a nervous toddler. Thank you Kids 1st.

A wonderful nursery with caring and kind staff. The manager and staff have been exceptional in their handling of the recent COVID situation and have done their utmost to ensure the children still have the best experience they can whilst at nursery.

As a first-time mum, I can't recommend this nursery as there was always something not quite reassuring about it. My little one went in at 10-months and stayed for a year. It was the lack in attention to small things or changing nappies enough or bumping every other day with different notes to sign which the last one was quite big as he fell backwards. Who was watching him? The diet was the same things every week. I know it's not easy to look after kids but there were times in the morning when you felt like the girls didn't want to be there. I was supposed to go in twice to have a parent day and always got cancelled without rearranging times and never got progression stats. I have moved him to a different nursery and wow! The difference I see is massive, my little one runs in, loves his teachers, food is different even breakfast. He's constantly messy and has 3 changes of clothes at least but a massive grin on his face, they have camera's in the rooms and everything is what it should be.

My son has been welcomed and well looked after by all members of staff despite starting nursery at this difficult time. Staff have always been really approachable friendly and always on hand to answer any questions. They have worked really hard to ensure my son has enjoyed every minute at nursery and always comes back super happy having had lots of fun.

I can’t praise this nursery enough, since my daughter started in September 2020 she has come on amazing. I looked at other nurseries in the area but this one was the only one that gave off a family vibe, and I was not wrong with my judgement. The staff are amazing and I have one happy little girl. Thank you so much especially during such a hard time.
