S4YC @ Portside Childrens Centre is a purpose-built setting within Portside Children's Centre.

They offer care for children from 9 months old with private and funded sessions.

The setting is well equipped with age-appropriate resources where children can explore and learn.

The setting has a small baby room, located within the Toddler room, as well as a preschool room.

All children have the opportunity to explore the sensory room.

Overall Experience

Facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Staff are warm and welcoming at the start of the day and ask how the child has been and if there’s anything they need to know. When we pick up at the end of the day/session they always have something good to tell us about how the child has been throughout the day. Staff are always attentive to the child’s needs and flexible with parent and family needs. Would definitely recommend this location for your childcare needs.

Overall Experience

My daughter attended this nursery when she turned 2, very difficult at first she wouldn't settle because she had been with me every day since born. The staff at S4YC were patient with her and she soon settled and started to love going, talking about friends and nursery at home. I can't thank each and every one of them for everything you have done, even supporting myself when finding days hard. The only reason she is leaving is because we are moving house otherwise she would be there till she starts reception. Will miss you all and always remember how lovely you all were with myself and my children. I would definitely recommend this nursery. Thank you for everything.

Overall Experience

This has been a fantastic nursery for my son. He has cerebral palsy and other problems and the staff have been so understanding and kind. Always willing to help in any situation. Fantastic nursery, all the staff have been so welcoming. They made me feel at ease leaving my child there.
