Overall Experience

My child started the nursery in 2024 and has overall enjoyed every moment off being there. He enjoyed footie Mondays, colouring, singing and dancing. and he has made a lot of friendships. My child has learnt a lot from there. Such as sharing, learning, motor skills/fine motor skills, communication/speech

I honestly would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
All teachers are spectacular but personally a special shout out to Angela she is just overall an amazing person who has all the time for your child and you and will always listen to any concerns you have and will try her hardest to understand you and do her best to help you or your child no matter how big or small the issue may be. Thank you to all of you :)

Overall Experience

Portside Nursery has brilliant facilities both indoor and outdoor. The staff are all helpful and always have your child's best interests in mind. I would highly recommend this nursery. They also have exceptional care and knowledge for SEN children and always try to put provisions in place.

My son is quite hard to understand what he needs and what he likes, as his mother I was really worried that they would not understand what he needed as at the moment my son is still not talking fully but I can't praise the nursery and all the staff that work there. Every single one of them has been

amazing with my child from making sure he's happy giving him cuddles when he's sad, talking to him and playing with him. Sometimes just a cuddle is all the kids need. My child got quite upset leaving me but is slowly starting to settle and that all down to the staff and the team at Ellesmere Port Nursery. Can't recommend it enough. I was so worried about my child going to nursery but the manager and the rest of the amazing team reassured me every morning and I know as his mum, it's the best for him. They are all wonderful and I can't wait to see how much he comes along over time.

Overall Experience

My daughter started here in January 24 at the age of 2, she has come on leaps and bounds in just 2.5/3 short months considering she only does x2 full days a week. I've not only seen an improvement in her skills and milestones but in how happy she is to actually go into nursery - no more tears on arrival

or pick up, she seems really settled and happy to be there (my biggest fear was putting her in a nursery that suited me workwise, but didn't suit her and left her unsettled).
All the staff are wonderful with my daughter, you can really see the focus on nurturing the children. Can't fault the place.

My 2-year-old absolutely loves coming to nursery here, she always asks when she’s going to nursery because she is so excited! She has really come on well with her speech since being here. All of the staff have been fabulous and I feel she is in safe hands when leaving her here. Thanks so much!

Overall Experience

Lovely nursery. My daughter loves attending nursery, and all the staff make her feel so loved and welcome.
She has little targets to try and reach, which the teachers encourage. It’s clean, and the children have lots of toys and activities to do daily.
I would 100% recommend this nursery to all

Very friendly staff.
It was lovely to see the staff doing sign language for those children with reduced vocabulary.
Staff appear very organised and very friendly. My granddaughter is improving so much, the whole family is delighted with her progress.

My non-verbal child read an entire book today, out loud!
It could have been through memory rather than reading the words. But either way, she read the entire book. I am absolutely overwhelmed at her progress.
The staff have been amazing!

My daughter started on the 9th of January and all of the staff at Portside have been amazing with her. She has settled in really quickly and has been welcomed and supported by all the staff, they all take time to make sure every handover is completed. It really is an amazing setting and I'm happy my

daughter attends this nursery. The staff even made sure they knew the name of my daughter's favourite teddy which really does mean a lot to us.

Overall Experience

Facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Staff are warm and welcoming at the start of the day and ask how the child has been and if there’s anything they need to know. When we pick up at the end of the day/session they always have something good to tell us about how the child has been throughout

the day. Staff are always attentive to the child’s needs and flexible with parent and family needs. Would definitely recommend this location for your childcare needs.

My daughter attended this nursery when she turned 2, very difficult at first she wouldn't settle because she had been with me every day since born. The staff at S4YC were patient with her and she soon settled and started to love going, talking about friends and nursery at home. I can't thank each and

every one of them for everything you have done, even supporting myself when finding days hard. The only reason she is leaving is because we are moving house otherwise she would be there till she starts reception. Will miss you all and always remember how lovely you all were with myself and my children. I would definitely recommend this nursery. Thank you for everything.

This has been a fantastic nursery for my son. He has cerebral palsy and other problems and the staff have been so understanding and kind. Always willing to help in any situation. Fantastic nursery, all the staff have been so welcoming. They made me feel at ease leaving my child there.
