A STUNNING AND WELCOMING NURSERY IN CHELSEA
Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is specially designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They ensure your child receives the best care and education, right from baby to preschool. At the earliest stage, the free settling in sessions ease the transition from home to nursery. Rising threes can enjoy a wealth of exciting, educational activities on their learning journey with us, and preschoolers benefit from an enriching Ready for School programme. This gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Chelsea Day Nursery features a large outdoor space, separated into two freeflow gardens to give children independence in their play. In addition to this, trips further afield to Battersea Park and local libraries encourage familiarity with children’s local community.

The nursery in Chelsea is located near Battersea Park and The Lister Hospital. They are less than 15 minutes’ walk from Sloane Square Station and have a convenient buggy storage area.

The Team would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and they will show you all the nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

My son is in the toddler room. He learns how to play with other children, how to eat his food by himself and the nursery is happy to potty train him as we are doing so at home. Furthermore, my son is learning the alphabet and counting, he is reading lots of books and learning different songs. By saying
all this, I would like to note that we are very happy with the nursery and its employees.

Overall very good feedback. The nursery has an amazing outdoor space that kids can enjoy on a daily basis. Modern facilities with glass doors and internal cameras. Parents can come in and out at any time during kids slots. This is very important to give parents peace of mind that kids are in a safe
environment. Easy access with car parking for dropping off and picking up. Staff very friendly. These are the reasons why I came back and registered my second child. I have known the nursery since 2013.

Bright Horizons Chelsea is a great place where my children have been staying for quite a long time now and they are developing happily and have learnt a lot.
They are providing a good service and listening to parents feedback.

I really enjoy taking my son to the Chelsea nursery. My son has only been here for 2 months and I can see loads of changes in all good ways. He has become more grown up and independent. I will strongly recommend it to all parents. The people here are very nice and caring. I feel very grateful for all
the work they do to help my son.

I am generally very happy with the nursery. For Central London, it has one of the best outside spaces and facilities. Staff are well trained and good with the children. Unfortunately, the caretakers change a fair bit which is not ideal.

I've got two kids, my son is 5 years old and my daughter is 2 years old. My son attended this nursery since he was 10 months until he was nearly 4 and my daughter started at 12 months and is still attending. Both were extremely happy attending this nursery and the communication with the staff has been
always outstanding. Very happy and proud of having my kids in this nursery.

We are very happy with this nursery. The staff are so nice with the children, they do a lot of activities (inside and outside) and always take care of the little ones.

They give you the feedback every day about all that happens with your child: activities, food, time of nap... and they have an amazing

huge outside space to play.

The staff are without exception caring, helpful and professional. The nursery is well run and organised overall.

The days are organised with just enough structure to help development and keep the children interested without preventing more playful activities.

The environment created by the staff

has encouraged my son to be more confident and sociable than when he first started. He frequently mentions exchanges with the staff in terms of recently learned concepts like 'x said we do not run inside, we walk' and 'x said it is good to share the bicycle with friends'.  He frequently explains to us the rules of pre-school like 'at naptime we do not get up until the lights are turned on'.  It has been very helpful for us to be able to build on these concepts/learnings at home.

My child is very happy at the nursery and she is well looked after. The children learn a lot about ART - talking about Van Gough and Pointillism! They also have their own parliament within the nursery.

I have had two children in this nursery. My first one is now year 1 at school and the second one is currently in pre-school at this nursery. Both children have been very happy here. We have not experienced any problems, having said that the management and style of the nursery have improved dramatically
and positively in the last 5 years. The management team and the teaching staff are attentive, polite and kind.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.651)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.651) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.818 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 number of registered child places is 9.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.918
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
