A STUNNING AND WELCOMING NURSERY IN CHELSEA
Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is specially designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They ensure your child receives the best care and education, right from baby to preschool. At the earliest stage, the free settling in sessions ease the transition from home to nursery. Rising threes can enjoy a wealth of exciting, educational activities on their learning journey with us, and preschoolers benefit from an enriching Ready for School programme. This gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Chelsea Day Nursery features a large outdoor space, separated into two freeflow gardens to give children independence in their play. In addition to this, trips further afield to Battersea Park and local libraries encourage familiarity with children’s local community.

The nursery in Chelsea is located near Battersea Park and The Lister Hospital. They are less than 15 minutes’ walk from Sloane Square Station and have a convenient buggy storage area.

The Team would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and they will show you all the nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Chelsea since September 2022, she was 7 months old when she started. The staff are incredibly caring, loving, friendly and professional. I can see that they care for my daughter with genuine sincerity, we leave her every day knowing she's in safe and loving
hands. They pay close attention to any illnesses/fevers etc in the group and contact us immediately if needed. The baby room is well equipped with age-appropriate toys, books and furniture with direct access to the garden and outdoor play area. There is freshly prepared hot meals and snacks available. The staff arrange stimulating activities, so the kids are always busy with something fun. The nursery app is very useful as it allows us to know what our daughter is up to throughout the day as well as seeing occasional photos. Our daughter loves her time at nursery and we plan to send her to Bright Horizons Chelsea until she starts school. We recommend this nursery wholeheartedly!

We have just completed our first week at Bright Horizons Chelsea, and so far, we are very happy. Our toddler settled in after one day, and she is so excited to return every day since. We've had great communication and feel like she is being well looked after.

A lovely nursery with friendly, caring staff who have made my son feel welcome and looked after. Easy to speak to the members of staff by phone during the day for updates if needed and good feedback at the end of each day.

My daughter is one years old and is enjoying the nursery a lot. She started attending the nursery when she was ten months old. I can see the improvements, especially socially. I believe going to nursery helps a lot towards lockdown babies. The teachers are very kind, caring and professional. They give
daily reports about the babies and monitor them very closely.

My son is twenty two months old, he joined this nursery in January and we are constantly thrilled by his progress. The staff are so caring, enthusiastic and patient. Given the challenging circumstances of the pandemic, we have been so grateful as to how they have dealt with all the necessary procedures
in what must be a very stressful situation. My son comes home happy, having learnt new skills every day and we cannot thank the team at Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool enough! We feel very fortunate that our son is enjoying such a wonderful start to his early years education.

Our eighteen month old son started with Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool when he was thirteen months. He has loved every day and goes in and out of nursery smiling. All the staff are wonderful and caring with the little ones. He eats and sleeps well and gets to participate in so many
fun and innovative activities while he is there. He has learnt new words, skills and has made lots of new friends. We are informed every day by the lovely staff of what he has been up to and often get to take home some pictures of him having fun or pieces of art work he has made. They have a lovely little garden and lots of space for the children. We are very happy with the nursery, our son loves it there and we would highly recommend it to other parents.

Our son started Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool at nine months old and given his young age and the circumstances of a pandemic, we were nervous and expected challenges settling in. However, our experience has been amazing and we couldn’t have wished for a better place for our son.
The staff are extremely attentive, caring, enthusiastic, diligent and build real relationships with the children. This is clearly more than just a job for them and they take a real interest in how my son is developing and enjoy taking care of him. He is excited when we drop him off, pick him up and doesn’t sleep at nursery as he is too busy enjoying himself and doesn’t want to miss out on any fun! We look forward to hearing about what he has been up to and have peace of mind that he is receiving the best care and attention. Thank you so much to each and every staff member at Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool, you are doing an incredible job each day and our son is happy, confident and thriving because of your efforts.

Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool has been a fantastic place for my son’s first nursery experience. The staff are kind, caring and happy to share how he is doing and they give helpful tips for home. My son loves going to Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool which is evidenced
by the fact that he walks right in without even looking back, after some tears the first few weeks! The outdoor space is massive for Central London and they do a variety of fun activities daily such as painting, feeding snails, reading, singing and learning about safety, sometimes I read his daily report sheet and wish I could join! Drop off and pick up are so easy and the flexible times are a huge benefit. One bonus is that nappies and wipes are provided, this is one less thing to worry about whilst scrambling out the door with a toddler. The buggy storage area is a helpful feature as well. Many thanks Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool.

My son has been attending the Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool for 1.5 years. The staff are caring, attentive and kind. He has developed his communication skills, learned letters, numbers and enjoys the outdoor facility. He is a confident and happy child at the nursery. He loves attending
and is happy every day to go in. That to me is the most important thing when it comes to child care - a happy child.

Bright Horizons take into account our needs as a family and have supported us through every aspect of my child's growth. They have been our family away from home, our support bubble. It is not an understatement to say that we would not have made it through this pandemic without them. Every member of
staff deserves our deepest respect for giving the very best of them even when things have gotten very tough, as they have as a result of the Coronavirus. Grateful for their love, work and dedication with our little one. Bravo Bright Horizons

My daughter started to go to nursery when she was ten months. We loved it from the beginning. The staff are enthusiastic in their care of my daughter and help her to develop their interests. We feel included and informed about my daughter's progress and we value the good range of information received.
Besides
that, the staff follow good health and hygiene procedures to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. They teach children about good hygiene and the benefits of eating healthily. We, my wife and I highly recommend the nursery.

For me, the most important part of nursery life for my child is his bond with his carers. I always wanted my children to be excited to go to nursery, and this school does exactly that. The teachers create such special bonds with the children, and the care given is like that of a family. The staff are
so sweet and warm towards my son, and I could not recommend them enough.

My daughter has been going to the nursery since she was one year and she was always loved. She is almost 3 now. The staff is simply amazing. Everyone is loving, thoughtful, prompt and I can see that the children are learning to be very intelligent and educated persons in the future. I would like to
thank all the girls from Bright Horizons Chelsea nursery for taking such good care of my family.

Our son has been attending this nursery since he was 5.5-months-old and now is 33-months. The care over the years has been great and a lot of it down to specific individuals as well. Interestingly, despite this past year being one of the more challenging ones in terms of the global pandemic, the care
and dedication of the team are stronger than ever. The manager and the assistant manager are very caring and responsive, and the individuals who care for him are excellent. We view the nursery and the staff as an extension of our family and trust them. He absolutely loves going, and in fact, others have observed that he just runs right in and cannot wait to start the day. It is a testament to their continued stimulation for development and education, with the right incorporation of fun, and the overall care and kindness of each of the individuals are exceptional. We know they genuinely care for him and that is paramount.

I have had two boys go through the nursery from 10 months to preschool. The care of staff in the rooms has always been excellent. Turnover of staff historically has been an issue but has stabilised in the last year or two. Happy overall.

Our son started in the baby room, then moved to the toddler room and now he’s in the preschool room. We’ve always been very happy with the baby room and the toddler room so we were looking forward to the preschool room. At first, we were a bit shocked how loud the room was, slightly chaotic and stressful.
However, now they seem to have a handle of it and the three women looking after the room are always super sweet, caring, loving and they spend a lot of time with seeing the children’s individual needs.
The only thing that’s not as good anymore is the food. They’ve changed chef and that’s unfortunately quite clear.

Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool has been a fantastic place for our baby since day one. Our son is super happy and always cannot wait to come to the nursery. Plenty of activities, kind, nice, professional staff who loves babies and children. Amazing garden outside where children spend
a lot of time, a lot of toys, books etc. We feel safe and secure leaving our baby there. Just excellent!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.651)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.651) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.818 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 number of registered child places is 9.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.918
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
