Willaston Pre-school is a very experienced early years provider offering a wonderful nurturing environment for local children aged 2+ who live in the Crewe and Nantwich area (including Weston, Shavington, Hough, and Wistaston). Being situated next to Willaston park, and with large spacious play areas both inside and outside, children gain essential social and academic skills by learning through play, with a great emphasis placed on outdoor activities for creativity and fitness.
Your child can start at any time to suit you. The pre-school is completely flexible which hours or days are booked. Any hours of termtime can be funded up to the council maximum of 10 hours per day. Paid places and holiday club are also available in return for modest fees. Staggered arrival and departure times mean the pre-school offers childcare from 7.30am until 5.30pm, 5 days a week. Ideally situated between the A500 and A534 means Willaston Pre-school is easy to access (and they have a car park).
The inspirational, close-knit, professional team, all qualified in paediatric first aid and led by a qualified early years practitioner, will ensure your child is ready for the demands of whichever reception class you eventually choose. As there are small child numbers (maximum 24 in total) and lots of adults, the team can offer individual learning plans for children which cater for diverse interests, including enrichment activities such as Spanish and cookery. Willaston Pre-school is independent and is not affiliated to any primary school or religion. It has good links with all local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of 2 to 3 year olds can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week, and some families on qualifying benefits can claim 15 hours regardless of working status. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 38 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 38 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 30 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Lovely intimate and caring environment for my little boy. Already signed my little girl up for when she's old enough.

Recommend so highly! My 2.5 year old was struggling in nursery and we were looking for other options, as soon as we looked round I knew it was perfect. There is lots of space so the children are not on top of each other, a big outside space and they are outside every day. There is lots of different...
Every day there are different activities set up, sensory play, painting and so many different activities. I love that there is a big focus on preparation for school, not just the academic side but the soft skills and independence e.g. at lunchtime.
The staff are fantastic, so caring and passionate about the children and they are consistent which means they really get to know the children. My little girl settled in so well and has gone from crying hysterically at her nursey drop off, to running in to pre-school and having to catch her to say bye. She gets so excited and I thank my lucky stars I found this perfect place.

The varied activities and endless outdoor play ensure an interesting and action packed day. I highly recommend the setting and would encourage anyone considering a preschool for their child to have a look around. As it operates as a not for profit organisation, it is extremely good value for money.

The staff are all very approachable and have lots of experience. They always have time to answer my queries and time to cuddle my little boy when he is sad. They encourage the children to use their imaginations and be themselves and unbeknown to the children - they are learning phonics, numbers and many other skills that they can develop further in school.
We love Willaston Pre-school.
Wonderful nurturing pre-school (Outstanding in all areas from Ofsted) which is a great half-way house between home and primary school. My 3 sons (and now daughter!) have all loved their time there. Imaginative use of the facilities means that children learn without even realising it i.e. whilst...
Wonderful nurturing pre-school (Outstanding in all areas from Ofsted) which is a great half-way house between home and primary school. My 3 sons (and now daughter!) have all loved their time there. Imaginative use of the facilities means that children learn without even realising it i.e. whilst having fun and playing. The greatest asset is the staff who have all been there for ages, know just how to care for each child as an individual, and are all professionals. Complete absence of ipads too!
My daughter absolutely loves going to Willaston Pre-School and enjoys all the activities they offer. The outdoor space is fantastic and it provides great value for money. I really can't recommend it enough.

What my little boy says every day, is reason enough for me to recommend Willaston Preschool to any parent - everyday he asks me 'Are we going to preschool today' and 'am I staying for lunch' then a jump for joy when the answer is yes. That aside, the staff are caring and nurturing and have a...
What my little boy says every day, is reason enough for me to recommend Willaston Preschool to any parent - everyday he asks me 'Are we going to preschool today' and 'am I staying for lunch' then a jump for joy when the answer is yes. That aside, the staff are caring and nurturing and have a perfect balance between learning and play. The facilities are excellent and there are always plenty, also there is a great variety of toys and books available. I also very much like that my little boy's learning log is a physical one that parents can take home and flick through, rather than yet another thing to look through online.

Jacqui is passionate about early years and has been inspiring young children to learn since before she gained her BA Hons degree in 2003, with a total of 36 years in the early years sector. She also has extensive positive experiences with SEND children, knowing how to access appropriate support for both home and pre-school. She is a very motivational person, to both children and our team, and can turn her hand to anything.
