Children may start at any time to suit family needs. The pre-school offers complete flexibility, allowing families to book any hours or days. Any term-time hours can be funded up to the council maximum of 10 hours per day. Paid places and holiday club are also available for a modest fee.
Staggered arrival and departure times mean the pre-school offers childcare from 7.30am until 5.30pm, 5 days a week. Ideally situated between the A500 and A534, Willaston Pre-school is easy to access (and has a car park).
The inspirational, close-knit, professional team, all qualified in paediatric first aid and led by a qualified early years practitioner, ensures each child is prepared for the demands of whichever reception class is chosen.
With a small group size (maximum 32 children) and a high staff-to-child ratio, the team offers individual learning plans that cater to diverse interests, including enrichment activities such as Spanish and cookery. Willaston Pre-school is independent and not affiliated with any primary school or religion. The setting maintains strong links with all local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition for children.

We used Willaston Holiday Club during the summer holidays and our son couldn't wait to come back! As an extremely active 4 year old, he was kept thoroughly entertained, with a wide variety of activities to pique his interests every day. The setting feels like a family environment, very nurturing and the staff get to know your child really well. I honestly cannot recommend this nursery highly enough! All three of my children have attended, and I couldn't have wished for a better place for them. The staff are absolutely wonderful - caring, kind, supportive and genuinely passionate about the children in their care. Each of my children has been treated as an individual, with their own personalities, needs and little quirks understood and celebrated. They have all grown so much in confidence and developed beautifully during their time at nursery, and I know the amazing team have played a huge part in that. As a parent, knowing your children are happy, safe and genuinely cared for is priceless. I have always felt completely reassured leaving my children in their hands, and they have always been excited to go in.
After having all three of my children attend, I can honestly say I wouldn't choose anywhere else. Five stars really don't feel like enough!

The staff are amazing and they are so supportive of the kids. Every day the activities were varied, from baking blueberry muffins (hand picked from the park) to making hanging beautiful sun catcher decorations out of the autumnal leaves collected in the park. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hands on creative and caring school.

My little boy has been at the nursery for over a year now and the change we have seen in him has been absolutely monumental. We moved from a chain nursery to Willaston Pre-School, and our boy has done nothing but thrive, and come on in leaps and bounds.
The ladies there put so much effort into both looking after the children and ensuring that their day is full of meaningful content. We have seen huge differences in our boy with regards to his education - he comes home curious, full of facts and excited about what he has been learning each day. His maths, literacy and even writing have improved tenfold, and he's just a totally different little boy. He's been out on various trips with the nursery which he absolutely loved - it's so nice to hear that he's engaging with the community and being pushed out of his comfort zone with small performances and events.
I can't thank everyone at Willaston Pre-School enough for all they've done for our boy - he's done nothing but excel in their care

We've been at this pre school for a few years and feel so lucky to have such an amazing pre school on our door step. Such a warm loving environment it's like a home from home and my kids are so excited to go everyday. We love the free flow and how much outside play there is. The staff are incredible, so caring warm and friendly they go above and beyond in everything they do. The relationship between the kids and staff is so special, as it's a smaller setting the children have also have formed wonderful friendships. My only wish would be for it to be a primary school so my kids never have to leave.

Willaston Preschool is truly an amazing place. The staff are wonderful - they know each child so well and really understand their individual needs. It feels like a real family environment, with many of the team having been there for years (some over 20!), which says so much about the care and stability they provide.
My older daughter also went here and absolutely loved it, and now my youngest is having the same fantastic experience. They also take the children on lovely local trips, which my girls have adored. The preschool is incredibly flexible around family needs too, which makes such a difference.
We couldn't be happier, and I'm so grateful for the love, patience, and support they give every day. Highly recommend!

I was very apprehensive about my 2-year-old starting pre-school this September, as she has never been left with anyone else, but she has settled in so easily here. The staff are so nice and friendly and it really is like a home from home being a small pre-school. The staff/child ratio is also amazing so they get that extra attention. Just incredible! My daughter started in May after having little/non nursery experience and the improvements we are seeing already are amazing. The educational and fun aspects are very well balanced and I think she is going to come on leaps and bounds.
Our daughter is delayed for her age due to her medical history and every member of staff has really looked after her. As a parent, you always want to make sure you're sending your child to a loving and safe environment and I truly believe this is just that. All the staff go above and beyond, so thank you.

I would like to thank Willaston Preschool for being so supportive, caring and understanding. The ladies there are lovely, and always make sure your child is made to feel welcome as soon as they arrive through the gate in the morning! Lots of fun activities and outings are planned for them - and we love the amount of outdoor exercise and activities which they do.
