We highly recommend Willaston Pre-School to anyone who has a child going into pre-school and my daughter would too.
Many thanks to you all for your magnificent support and for setting the bar very high in terms of continuing her education.
Couldn't ask for a better pre-school for my little boy. The staff are always friendly and amazing with the children. Highly recommend this pre-school for any children aged 2 to 5. My other little boy enjoyed his time here and still says now he would go back in an instant as he misses his teachers
Such a friendly pre-school with a great adult to child ratio. The children receive 1 to 1 learning and lots of group activities. The outdoor area is great and the children are often outside playing during collection times. We chose this pre-school as the children sometimes go on little adventures around the village or to the park at the back which my child enjoys. I would highly recommend this pre-school.
Small setting, friendly staff and plenty of outdoor play. My child enjoyed going.
My daughter regularly informs us that she loves nursery. She asks if she can see the staff every weekend and on holidays, even when not at school. She has made significant progress both academically and socially since being at the nursery since February and bounces with excitement when she does attend. The team provide exceptional provision for the students and my daughter is always counting, chanting colours, singing nursery rhymes and telling us stories about the amazing visits to care homes, the library and other countless experiences provided. You will find it difficult to beat the learning experiences provided here. Thank you all!
We have two grandchildren aged four and two who attend school hours Monday to Friday. Most importantly, they always look forward to attending, they are bright, happy and cheerful, if somewhat 'grubby' from a very enjoyable day irrespective of the weather on collection. A large amount of time appears to be spent on outdoor activities and play, here they use their imagination and pretend whilst learning to express themselves. In our opinion, this has helped to develop their social and communication skills. The free play has improved the eldest's balance and dexterity, especially on a balance bike. They have both improved in their turn-taking and their caring for others through playing with mixed ages and abilities daily. The whole experience, especially the more formal and structured sessions, has helped to improve their ability to listen and follow instructions plus develop their patience. The celebration of success through praise and reward stickers along with constant encouragement has improved their learning skills. The independence of thought and problem-solving has helped develop their independence and identity within the positive supportive culture. Handovers at the start and end of each session are very detailed and personal to each child.
My son has attended the pre-school for almost two years and absolutely loves it. The staff are incredibly committed, kind and caring and have done so much to ensure that my son receives the support that he needs now and in the future. Their communication is outstanding with updates after almost every session about my son's day and progress and any concerns discussed regularly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and they have ensured that my son has had the absolute best start to his education. I would highly recommend this pre-school to anyone looking for a place that truly cares for each individual child and works hard to give them the best possible care.
My daughter has been attending three mornings a week since September and she absolutely loves it! It’s the first time she has been to a childcare setting and she settled straight away. The staff are so friendly and she is learning so much while here. So glad we found this place I would recommend it to any parent.
Our son looks forward to coming into school and we will be sad when he has to move up to big school.
Every member of staff is caring, nurturing and enthusiastic about their role. The children are well cared for, as well as their educational needs met above and beyond.
Not once has he not wanted to go, which speaks louder than words. The hard work everyone puts in is very appreciated. They certainly set the bar high for other nurseries to compete against.
We have now got 2 granddaughters attending the pre-school. The first started early last year, the youngest this year. Both always look forward to going, are enthusiastic about attending and get excited on the way there. They are welcomed and go in without a backward glance. On collection, they are always happy, smiling and dirty, evidencing engaged exploratory play which they happily recall with lots of laughter. The staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable about the sort of day the children have had and report back in detail the highs, lows and bumps and bruises. The increase in confidence and dexterity through the activities and play has been exceptional. They attempt and try foods and activities that test our patience at home, happily recalling their achievements and their latest favourite foods. We have had to put satisfactory in a couple of boxes as we have not seen or experienced these, not going into the building due to the covid recommendations.
Thank you for your lovely review. Re cleanliness, we have a dedicated team member who cleans all day so that surfaces are wiped down frequently etc. We have a wealth of resources that are used in different combinations every day of the year to ensure the learning objectives of the EYFS are met....
Both of my girls love going and are showing excellent progress in their learning. There are high expectations for the children to achieve academically as well as support to do this. It isn't just the academic side, the children have lots of socialisation and opportunities to grow and develop all the necessary skills.
My son has thrived at Willaston Pre-School. He settled really well and looks forward to nursery days! The staff are very experienced, with a strong focus on working with parents to support children's development. My son has learnt so much in the short time he has been there, such as his desire to be more independent and his growing imagination during play. He will no doubt have acquired all the skills he needs to prepare him for school next year.
We highly recommend Willaston Pre School. Our youngest currently attends, as did our daughter who is now at school. The staff are amazing. They are very experienced and skilled in educating the children whilst still comforting them when needed. My daughter loves being outside on the bikes and tractor and they benefit from being in a central village location whilst backing onto the park. My daughter (despite being the youngest in the year), breezed into Primary School, although she would be back at Pre School in a heartbeat if she could.
Great quality childcare, have been amazing with both of my boys who have very different needs and have facilitated them to have a great start. Willaston Pre-School set my first son up to a great start meaning he was very ready for school. My youngest son loves going there now and has progressed so much since being in their care.
My son has been coming to Willaston Pre-school since he has turned two, we couldn't recommend it enough! He loves coming to Pre-school to see his friends, most importantly getting messy. The staff are really supportive and made the whole part of the settling in process very easy.
Since my child has started here, she has loved every minute, and I can't believe how much she has learnt as well as having so much fun. I really would recommend this school to any parent.
Fantastic preschool, staff are wonderful and really care. My son loves going two mornings per week 8:30-11:30 and has learnt so much since starting age 2. Great outdoor space, he has taken part in baking, sports day and growing vegetables. I would recommend to any parent looking for a small caring pre-school who genuinely cares for all their children. Parents evening was so heartwarming to hear how much his key worker and other staff members knew about him in just 1 term.
My little girl's current nursery is restructuring and we decided to move her full-time from September 2018 to Willaston Preschool. We started her around Easter 1 morning a week to help settle and it has been great. She walks straight in no tears and has adjusted to two nurseries easily. My concerns about her being unsettled were unfounded. The ladies were great with her on her first couple of days coming to her when she came in and encouraging her to join an activity. I feel so much better about her moving full-time from September. Her little sister is starting in September too and I have full confidence in the ladies getting her settle and adjust to nursery time.
Lovely intimate and caring environment for my little boy. Already signed my little girl up for when she's old enough.

Jacqui is passionate about early years and has been inspiring young children to learn since before she gained her BA Hons degree in 2003, with a total of 36 years in the early years sector. She also has extensive positive experiences with SEND children, knowing how to access appropriate support for both home and pre-school. She is a very motivational person, to both children and our team, and can turn her hand to anything.
