Spring Seesaw is a purpose-built, modern-day nursery in the heart of Braintree, close to train and bus links. The nursery provides care and education for children from 0 years to 11 years and 11 months, offering flexible sessions and support with 2 years, 3 and 4-years funding and 30 hours funding. From September 2024, the nursery will also be accepting 0-2 year funding.

The nursery is staffed by a team of fully qualified staff who hold safeguarding, paediatric first aid, health and safety, behaviour management, and food hygiene as standard practice; staff also have experience and training with supporting children with special educational needs.

The nursery is proud to have large outside spaces attached to each room as well as a separate forest school area for the children to access freely throughout the session which provide a variety of different physical activities, role play opportunities, mark making opportunities and games.

The setting has close links with John Bunyan infant school which supports and aids the children's transition to reception class and actively promotes parents as partners, holding regular stay and play sessions as well as opportunities for parents to take part in events.

The nursery has a sensory room dedicated for children with additional needs and also hosts weekly forest school sessions within the grounds which is led by the forest school leader.

Spring Seesaw has been amazing these last couple of months. My daughter did like leaving me, especially after lockdown. But they have been great at encouraging her and making her feel so so welcome. And would give me a message to let me know how she has settled if she went in upset and was never a bother
if I rang and asked after her. My daughter absolutely loves the staff. Especially certain staff members, who I can’t thank enough with how they have been with my daughter. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

This is a fantastic nursery. My daughter is generally very shy, especially with new people. The staff made it so much easier for her to settle in. They are a lovely bunch of people, and the nursery has a real family feel. My daughter loves coming here and talks about it how happy she is there a lot.

My daughter absolutely loves nursery.
When my daughter first started, she did have a bit of separation anxiety, but her key worker dealt with her so well. Distracted her and then once she was happy, they would message me on the app with a picture and let me know she’s ok. It made me feel so at ease
seeing pictures and getting updates.
If I’ve ever had an issue, it had been resolved once I have addressed it. All nursery staff listen to my concerns and acted accordingly.
Also, I love that I get regular updates on her development. Regular assessments make me feel a lot more confident about her progression.
I do highly recommend the nursery.
Also home-cooked meals for lunchtime is such a bonus! Great meals all freshly made on site is great.

My child loves Spring Nursery, she is always happy going in and coming out. Staff are amazing, they all take time to say hello to parents and children and always have time to have a chat if needed and tell you what your child has been doing throughout the day. Everything is clean and set out lovely
ready for the children to play. My child has made friends and has learnt so much being at Spring Nursery. Excellent staff and nursery. Would fully recommend it.

I've used this nursery for 13 years and wouldn't send them anywhere else. The staff really care about the children and are always on hand to help. Two of my children were even potty trained here.

My daughter was so scared to be left at nursery. This made my anxiety go through the roof. The staff here were amazing. They really put my mind at ease. I saw when I dropped her off how kind and caring they were towards her whilst also comforting me. I also received pictures showing me she was fine,
smiling and having fun. I have great confidence in the staff here. They have brilliant interaction skills with the children. The nursery is always clean and tidy. My daughter is given food and drink and allowed to play inside or out. I feel she has a great relationship with the staff and always comes away smiling. She has come on leaps and bounds. A fantastic nursery for all children and mums with separation anxiety from their children.
