Spring Seesaw is a purpose-built, modern-day nursery in the heart of Braintree, close to train and bus links. The nursery provides care and education for children from 0 years to 11 years and 11 months, offering flexible sessions and support with 2 years, 3 and 4-years funding and 30 hours funding. From September 2024, the nursery will also be accepting 0-2 year funding.

The nursery is staffed by a team of fully qualified staff who hold safeguarding, paediatric first aid, health and safety, behaviour management, and food hygiene as standard practice; staff also have experience and training with supporting children with special educational needs.

The nursery is proud to have large outside spaces attached to each room as well as a separate forest school area for the children to access freely throughout the session which provide a variety of different physical activities, role play opportunities, mark making opportunities and games.

The setting has close links with John Bunyan infant school which supports and aids the children's transition to reception class and actively promotes parents as partners, holding regular stay and play sessions as well as opportunities for parents to take part in events.

The nursery has a sensory room dedicated for children with additional needs and also hosts weekly forest school sessions within the grounds which is led by the forest school leader.

Spring Nursery Seesaw is an amazing nursery. Both of my children have been through the rooms. The staff are wonderful with the kids and parents. I felt safe knowing it is like a home away from home. They are loving and caring and well looked after. The communication is fantastic, and the food is healthy
and exciting for the kids. They have a lovely room, garden and forest school to play in. The children have wonderful, engaging activities every day. Their SEN support is first class. I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

All the staff at Spring Nursery are so welcoming, very professional and caring. Since the day my Son ( 2 in June) started the nursery he has developed and grown so much all thanks to the baby room staff. They are always keeping the children occupied with fun activities, indoor and outdoor play, inviting
parents to family sessions they can not do enough for the families attending the setting.


The staff keep me up to date throughout the day with what my son is doing all day through the app this is great as while I'm working I can check on him and see how much he has eaten, when he is napping etc.


Thank you to all you lovely staff! You are truly amazing!

My son loves coming to nursery every day and everyone have been wonderful to him. He has improved so much, the practitioners have done so much more for him than I ever could. Management are amazing as well, they have been so understanding and helpful. All in all, everyone is so friendly and helpful.
100% would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Great staff and my daughter really enjoys her time here. If my daughter is upset for any reason at drop off, staff are really good at giving an update when she has settled in. There are loads for the kids to do and staff make sure there are different activities every day.

Fantastic nursery with great Senco support. Very friendly staff and lots to do for the children. My son loves it here after leaving his other nursery which, to be honest, I should have done sooner. This is the best nursery I have found in the area. I have 4 children so we tried a few nurseries. The
rooms are big and kept clean. Good food choices made fresh and yummy. Staff lovely. Water play, painting a lovely garden. Honestly, I only have good things to say. A very happy environment with fantastic staff for the little ones. Always welcomed with smiles. A nursery that makes us feel like family!

This nursery is amazing.
It’s so lovely to be able to go into the nursery to pick the children up, you can see how happy they all are.
The staff always make time to have a chat and let you know what your child has been doing.

Really experienced and educated staff. Very friendly, welcoming and approachable. Lovely setup and really pleased with how my daughter was supported to settle into nursery. She absolutely loves her time there. The children seem calm, happy and engaged, lovely atmosphere. My daughter stays for lunch
and is offered a variety of healthy, hot-cooked meals and is making so much progress with trying new foods.

We enrolled our child in September 2023, her cognitive skills and confidence have really developed since attending. Full credit to the staffing team.

Really love this setting. We use the nursery for after-school club and it’s so helpful. They are flexible which is a great help when working shifts and needing different days or last-minute dates. The setting. Lovely, with lots of space inside and out. Lovely garden areas and new areas just built. It’s
easy to access and right next to the primary school which is really helpful.
Communication is great, easy to contact someone and the nursery is always communicating with updates, info, events and advice.
Would definitely recommend and if I had another baby would use this place for sure!

Superb nursery! Outstanding, caring, friendly staff, 100% interactive with the children.
From nurturing to quality to learning, this nursery has it all. Every member of staff goes above and beyond to support children and their families.

It’s an amazing nursery, so lovely with lots of space and a lovely garden. The staff are so great with the children - will always keep you up to date with how their day went. Updates on the app are super quick about what they’ve eaten/when they’ve eaten. My son was upset on his first day & when I left
he cried, by the time I walked home (4 minutes) I already had a message on the app & a picture to inform me he had settled. Cannot fault them.

My son absolutely loves coming into the nursery. He runs in so happy and every single member of staff says good morning to him and knows all of the children’s names which makes the experience so personable. Before attending my child had a speech delay and since attending he has learnt so much and his
speech has really improved. The staff are exceptional and really understand my child’s specific needs. They go above and beyond to make sure they understand what he likes. My son coming to the nursery has made such a difference in his development and learning. He has grown a really close bond with the staff and looks forward to the days he’s in the nursery.

My daughter has been coming to you for over a year, she first started in the baby room. I loved every minute I walked through the doors every staff are lovely and very helpful if you need to talk to them about something. My daughter is now in the next room and during her settling days, they made sure
she was comfortable and enjoying herself. She now comes to nursery ready to go and no more crying when she first started. I'm very pleased with the nursery and I'm very happy with the support and staff we have from there.

My son has come on leaps and bounds since he started attending Spring, he has grown in confidence and they have really helped him with his speech and counting. They treat my daughter as if she was one of the children that attends, she is now starting in September because she loves it here so much. I
couldn’t recommend this nursery enough they are everything you want for your child in an environment that isn’t home.

Our child has been attending Spring Seesaw for just over a year now. When she first joined, they really worked with her to help her feel safe and secure. She's since moved up into the next age room and is really thriving. She gets to do a range of activities, including cooking, reading, drawing and
playing. She has opportunities to learn through song, which she loves, and is excited by Forest School and the outside space available. The food is great, it seems nutritionally balanced and offers great variety. The staff are amazing, caring and compassionate. We really struggled when choosing a nursery as it's such a big decision, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Spring Seesaw to others.

All of the staff are extremely welcoming and full of enthusiasm at Spring Nursery Seesaw. My child has been attending the nursery since January 2023 and has flourished since joining. The communication between the setting and parents is fabulous, and I cannot fault their care. The staff members continuously
go above and beyond to make sure our little ones have the best start to their early years.
I have never known a nursery to incorporate so many fun, beneficial and educational activities into the nursery day!

I am the cook for the nursery, I plan and prepare the meals for the children ensuring they have well-balanced nutritious meals and have the ability to try lots of new foods. I hold a City and Guilds qualification in catering as well as food and hygiene level three and allergen awareness. As well as developing and planning my own menus I provide alternative meals for children with dietary allergies and preferences and actively encourage all the children to become involved in the menu planning too.
