Little Trees Celtic Springs is a modern, purpose-built nursery with plenty of indoor and outdoor space designed for playing, learning, eating, relaxing and sleeping.

At Little Trees Celtic Springs, they believe in the development of the whole child and recognise that each child is unique. Children are encouraged to develop and learn at their own pace, helping to foster happy, confident children.

The nursery curriculum provides the children with quality learning experiences, relevant to the child and rooted in play. They follow the curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage from the age of three. This provides promotes the 'early learning goals' identified by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Children are taught and spoken to in English. Welsh words and phrases are also used throughout the nursery.

Little Trees Celtic Springs has the highest standards and in May 2016 was given the Welsh Government Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Award for its nutritious meals and for its teachings on a healthy diet and the importance of physical activity.

Our daughter is thriving at Teddies, the staff are excellent and very friendly, our daughter loves going there every day and it’s been an amazing preparation for going to school. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve used the nursery for 5 years and found the nursery excellent! The staff were amazing, very friendly just like your friends. My baby boy left there in September for school and we were very sad not to be going there again! Both of my children were very well prepared for school thanks to the nursery
and I’d score them 9/10, only losing 1 point due to poor aircon in the summer otherwise it would be a 10.

Such a brilliant nursery! We changed my daughter’s nursery after moving house and the difference in her is incredible. She loves her nursery days. The staff are excellent and everyone seems to know every child, even those in other rooms. I know my daughter’s getting individual attention and that she’s
in the safest hands every time she goes. She learns loads and has so much to say about her day when we collect her.


The facilities are great also. Lots of bright and airy spaces to run around in, good toys and activities, separate crafting areas and nice outdoor spaces they make great use of. It’s nice there are specific dining areas too and the food the children get makes me envious when I’m taking a boring sandwich to work! Lots of variety and everything prepared fresh on the day.


I can’t recommend Teddies enough. The staff do a brilliant job and I can’t thank them enough for the care and love they give not only my daughter but every child there.

I highly recommend this nursery, the staff are so friendly so amazing , there communication with you is brilliant, they can’t do enough to make you feel at easy , leaving my child there from 11 months of wasn’t easy but they made it so easy, I could call anytime I liked they made me feel at ease going

A highly professional, well run and warm-hearted nursery. Our child has recently started at Teddies and settled in far quicker than we expected. This was due in no small part to the outstanding playroom staff who took the time to question me fully about my child and his habits. They showed a thorough
understanding of legislation around the child as well as the daily events that make up a toddlers routine. I felt fully informed and listened to at all times.


My child beams with delight on arrival in the mornings and the staff always greet us with enthusiasm and warmth despite the early hour!


An example of Teddies staff innate catering side was recently demonstrated when my child was ill. His key worker noted he was cold over a period of time and put an extra jumper on him. To me, this showed what notice and attention each individual child receives at Teddies and how safe they are.


An excellent nursery and we are fortunate to have found it!

My baby boy started at the nursery at a very young age in March 2018. All the staff at the nursery made every effort to settle him into nursery life with ease and comfort, which made it easier for my wife to return to work. The baby's routine was mirrored in the nursery to what it was at home. The nursery
staff and cook were able to help guide us through the weaning process. Nothing was too much trouble. Each morning we are greeted and the atmosphere feels very welcoming. A genuine interest is shown towards my child. I am kept well informed regarding his day in nursery, through notifications on Tapestry. I am able to see his care diary as well as any lovely activities and observations they have completed. The nursery is well kept, presented and resourced. My baby is now 13 months old, enjoys his time there. I thoroughly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for an outstanding nursery who genuinely care about each and every child who attends.

My sons been in Teddies since 10 months old and has developed amazingly in the year he’s been there. I know so many people whose children have attended Teddies and it hasn’t failed to disappoint.
The staff are so lovely and facilities are great. 10 out of 10 from me. I go to work feeling happy my

Friendly staff with a clean, open, healthy atmosphere allowing children to grow, develop and learn. The new investment has meant that new and exciting toys have arrived up and our daughter has greatly enjoyed the new expanded, usable outside space.
The new (electronic) learning profiles are excellent
and the way that we were informed of our child's progress during parents evening was second to none. Our daughter's key worker spent time going through the information thoroughly and advised us on various developmental milestones and ways to support our daughter at home.
The rapport my daughter has with the staff in her room is fantastic and I know that she will miss her teachers in Big Bears greatly when she goes to 'Big School' in September.

I would be more than happy to recommend Teddies Nursery to my friends and family. The staff here are not only friendly and caring, as you would expect, but form a lovely bond with your child. My son has only attended since October 2016 but he has developed immensely in confidence and independent skills.
He is happy to go to nursery in the morning and reluctant to leave at collection time, which can only reflect well on the nursery and how much he enjoys his time there each day. The sensible session times have played a large part in facilitating my return to the workplace secure in the knowledge that he is eating well, playing with children his own age and building his knowledge of numbers, shapes, colours and languages (English and Welsh). The outdoor facilities are compact but have been well considered and the children also take advantage of the local lake for nature rambles.

It's always a pleasure taking my son to Teddy's Nursery. On our first visit, I knew this was the place for my son. I could see how the little ones were having quality interactions with the staff and the other children. Since then, I could not be happier with the nursery. My son spends his time playing,

My child started at Celtic Springs when he was 9 months old and has progressed through the different rooms at the nursery. It was important for me that the nursery offered a safe environment, but one where there was room for them to explore and learn. Celtic Springs offered this in abundance and the
facilities for learning through play are excellent. Staff are very attentive and my son loves nursery life. I feel confident that he is well looked after and happy at nursery.
The opportunity for him to go swimming at nursery is fantastic and something you won't get elsewhere. The themed days and events are also well thought out and great for development.
A lovely nursery which I highly recommend. It will be sad to not come here every day in September when my big bear starts big school.

My daughter has been at the nursery from the age of 7 months, she is now 2 and a half. She loves the staff and the environment that they create, she runs in every day and has developed amazingly with the teams support.
The facilities are fantastic, the range of activities is brilliant (yoga this week
has been a massive hit!) and the meals are brilliant.
I have recommended this nursery and with our second child due later this year, there is no doubt that we will be enrolling them when it's time for me to return to work.

It's an excellent nursery, I highly recommend it.
We used to use a different nursery and when we changed to Teddies we saw a huge difference in our daughter's behaviour. She was a lot happier, confident and content.
After a huge success with our eldest, we placed our youngest there too. Although
my eldest has now started reception, she still loves going to Teddies to collect her little sister and staff still make a fuss of her and she loves it there.

My son attends this nursery and has loved it from the minute he has started. The staff are very friendly and caring towards the children.

I would highly recommend Teddies Nursery. I have been using the nursery for the last 5 years with my eldest and now youngest child.
I have visited lots of nurseries recently but only due to our house move, and I can't find one that even comes close. The staff are excellent with my son and have
been a huge help with keeping his eczema at bay. They are very friendly and informative of his day, and my son talks about the staff a lot when at home. The only suggestion I would make is to be a little bit more flexible with regards to fees/sessions, I would hugely benefit from paying per hour so that I could tailor my childcare a bit easier.
Overall this is a fantastic nursery, which is very clean throughout.

I cannot recommend Teddies nursery highly enough, they have been fantastic, always available to provide helpful advice and listen to any concerns regarding the progress of my daughter. This includes how to help her progress and manage sometimes difficult behaviour, helping her to develop.
The nursery
encourages positive behaviour and the improvement in my daughter's development since attending here from age 7 months is evident. The quality of this nursery and its staff is excellent.

Jessica Tate

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2012

Jessica is the Manager of Little Trees Day Nursery Celtic Springs. Jessica started her career as a Nursery Practitioner and has progressed to Manager throughout her years at the nursery through continual professional development. Jessica's favourite thing about her job is working together with the children and parents and creating positive relationships. When she is not working, she particularly enjoys baking and reading.


To support her, Jessica has a highly qualified and experienced team. Her staff are dedicated to giving young children the care and attention they need to aid their social, emotional and intellectual development. Our nursery workers are up to Level 5 qualified in Childcare and Education or are working towards or beyond this qualification. We offer training and continued professional development to all employees.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All our employees undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Staff are trained in paediatric first aid and child protection, giving you added peace of mind.
