Little Trees Celtic Springs is a modern, purpose-built nursery with plenty of indoor and outdoor space designed for playing, learning, eating, relaxing and sleeping.

At Little Trees Celtic Springs, they believe in the development of the whole child and recognise that each child is unique. Children are encouraged to develop and learn at their own pace, helping to foster happy, confident children.

The nursery curriculum provides the children with quality learning experiences, relevant to the child and rooted in play. They follow the curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage from the age of three. This provides promotes the 'early learning goals' identified by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Children are taught and spoken to in English. Welsh words and phrases are also used throughout the nursery.

Little Trees Celtic Springs has the highest standards and in May 2016 was given the Welsh Government Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Award for its nutritious meals and for its teachings on a healthy diet and the importance of physical activity.

A great nursery with great staff, who are more than happy to spend time discussing our child and what they have been up to during the day. The activities are varied and include a range of indoor and outdoor play. Our daughter is extremely happy there and our son starts at the end of February!

My only niggle really is that I don't know the names of the girls looking after my son, would benefit I think from them all wearing name badges.
Maybe a review of the child's progress perhaps twice a year instead of yearly.

Name badges for staff has recently been introduced to help make it easier for parents to remember everyone's names. We also have a staff member board outside the main office with photographs.

This is a fantastic place for children to learn and develop life skills. My daughter has attended for the last 3 years and loves it. The staff are amazing and so lovely with the children. The food is always different and allows them to try different food they may not try and eat at home. My daughter
the other day came home telling me all about Chinese New Year and had made a lantern. All in all this nursery is wonderful and can't fault a thing.

When I was first shown around the nursery I was extremely impressed with the amount of space the children have, compared to other nurseries where children are cramped into small rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and give great up dates at the end of the day along with greeting the children lovely
in the morning. I will say just one minor issue is I would like to be informed of my child's key person and introduced properly. Due to my son having convulsions I was also relieved to see the nursery has CCTV so I can log on during the day and see how he is doing and put my mind at rest. I am very happy with his development and learning and have great pleasure in hearing what they have been up to every day!!

Lovely nursery, lots of exciting activities for the children with a topical theme. All staff are very caring to my son. He enjoys going to nursery and there's always a very varied menu for meal times. Very convenient location and opening hours. Would definitely use this nursery if we had another child.

My child has been coming to the nursery for almost 2 years and although he cries in the morning when leaving him, during the day he then loves it and sometimes he doesn't want to come home! All the staff, starting from the baby room upstairs, the little bears and now the big bears, is fantastic and
they do a great job. My older daughter used to come here 10 years ago when the nursery was just opened and when it was time for us to choose a nursery for the little one, we didn't have any doubt in coming back here.
The food is very good, my child loves it, the other day he even told me that he prefers the school lasagna to mine!
The only concern I have is with the outside car park, as especially during winter the lack of lights makes it very dark when collecting the children in the evening.

I love Teddies Nursery but my daughter loves it more! The staff are fantastic with her and I have total peace of mind that she's having a lovely day with her friends whilst I'm at work. They offer her lovely healthy food and if she turns her nose up at anything they always give her an alternative making
sure she's eating well. This was a big issue for me with my son's nursery (he'd often go all day without proper food) so it was something I really looked out for when I chose Teddies to look after my daughter.

We are delighted with the high level of care our son is receiving at the nursery. He has been going for 5 months and the progress he has made socially has been fantastic to witness. He is learning and absorbing a tremendous amount. The nursery provides a really caring environment asking how he is every
day and giving me a complete run through of his day. I am very happy and confident leaving him here as I know he is safe and cared for.

I have used this nursery for my son and now for my daughter. I have been delighted by the professionalism and caring nature of all of the staff at the Newport "Teddies" Nursery and the admin staff at their headquarters.
My son has a serious cardiac condition and they handled this very professionally
and I was able to teach the staff about his condition and any additional care that was needed. This was always accepted and the additional care was provided without any issues.
On drop off the staff ask how the child has been and anything they may need to know for that day and on collection they provide a great amount of detail about how the child has been during that day, what they have eaten, what they have done and how they have behaved.
I also found that when my son then went to school he was in an advanced position with his reading, writing and concentration, thanks in large to the nursery.

My daughter moved to this nursery from another when she turned 3. I wish I'd have discovered Celtic Springs Nursery long before as she loves it there. She's excited to go in everyday and has come on leaps and bounds since starting here. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and clearly love what they

Since joining Teddies Nursery our son has developed in so many ways, he is developing into a bright, independent and sociable little boy and we put much of this down to the care and attention he has received at the nursery. Our son is always looking forward to attending nursery in the morning, which
is a great feeling for myself who has to go off to work and leave him. We would definitely recommend Teddies Nursery.

Certainly fulfilled my expectations of a nursery. Can't rate them higher enough. My Little one loves it here and has come in leaps and bounds. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Wish I found this nursery earlier on but certainly more than happy to leave my best man with them.

We have had a great experience with this nursery! My little girl took a long time to settle, but staff never gave up and took the time and care (& lots of cuddles!) she needed to help her transition when I went back to work. She now absolutely loves it and she can't get there quick enough!
They are
great at giving a review in little books at the end of each day of what they've been up to, which really helps us to continue what they've been learning at home, or just helps us to ask her about her day! They have great facilities, and have really thought through the layout of the rooms for the children to maximise their enjoyment, safety and forward thinking to transitions to next stages.

My daughter has attended Teddies Nursery since September 2013. During this time, she has been and continues to be loved, cared for, stimulated and educated. There has not been any occasion that I have felt doubt about leaving her in their care. I believe this is an excellent nursery, providing a

To be able to leave my most precious possession in the safe and caring hands of such a good team of people is the most comforting feeling for a parent. My daughter has been here for a year, I am taking her out of nursery with a heavy heart because we are moving. She is really going to miss all her wonderful
caretakers and beautiful friends. She runs in every morning, much of the time forgetting to say goodbye. The settle in, security, daily activities, food menu are excellent. I feel comfortable approaching the staff members and the nursery manager about my child.

Jessica is the Manager of Little Trees Day Nursery Celtic Springs. Jessica started her career as a Nursery Practitioner and has progressed to Manager throughout her years at the nursery through continual professional development. Jessica's favourite thing about her job is working together with the children and parents and creating positive relationships. When she is not working, she particularly enjoys baking and reading.


To support her, Jessica has a highly qualified and experienced team. Her staff are dedicated to giving young children the care and attention they need to aid their social, emotional and intellectual development. Our nursery workers are up to Level 5 qualified in Childcare and Education or are working towards or beyond this qualification. We offer training and continued professional development to all employees.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All our employees undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Staff are trained in paediatric first aid and child protection, giving you added peace of mind.
