Farm Day Nurseries have a number of nurseries set across the UK. Each site offers day care in a countryside environment, giving children great access to the outdoors. At many settings, this includes opportunities to interact with farm animals, joining in with feeding and other farming tasks.

There are also plenty of opportunities to play, learn and explore inside the nurseries too. Each has dedicated areas to ensure children are given age appropriate tasks and resources, always supervised and supported by the fantastic team of practitioners employed in each nursery.

All Farm Day Nurseries are registered with Ofsted and work hard to maintain the best ratings, giving families peace of mind that their children are getting the very best start to life.

I would recommend Adventure Valley nursery to anyone and everyone. The staff are amazing, my little boy absolutely loves coming here - from the second he walks through the door he just has the biggest smile on his face. He has been attending adventure valley since he was 12 months old and he has come

Both of my children have attended this nursery, and I honestly couldn't be happier with our experience. The staff are absolutely brilliant - caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's development and wellbeing. It's such a comfort knowing my kids are in such capable hands every day.
The facilities are outstanding and far better than any others in the area, with excellent resources and a fantastic learning environment. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and high-quality setting for their children.

Wonderful nursery with fantastic, friendly staff. My little one has settled in so well and it's a credit to the staff. They've been so helpful and got to know them so well. The nursery do so many fantastic activities with the kids and keep them well entertained. Finally, the development I've seen in
my little one already has been amazing - they're learning so much all the time. Sending your child somewhere is such a nerve wracking decision but I've been so reassured with Adventure Valley. Lovely place.

We moved our daughter to Godstone farm nursery in Jan 2026 as we required more SEN support than our previous nursery could provide.
We have been blown away by the support and care they have provided us with so far and our daughter is thriving.
All the staff are exceptional and extremeley knowledgeable
in this area. They have provided us with a clear plan tailored to our daughters needs.
Their communication is excellent and always provide us with a detailed breakdown of our her day which is very comforting.
The facilities are wonderful and the fact that she gets to explore the farm and softplay is amazing for her development.
She has only been there a matter of weeks but we can already see she has formed great bonds with staff members.
We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. Thank you!

My son has been at Godstone Farm nursery a year and he loves it there. The staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. It's a very outdoorsy nursery which was a massive draw for us and in addition there are a variety of activities during the day.
My son took a while to settle but the team were great
and really helped settle him in.
The food variety is great too and very healthy.
I would highly recommend the nursery.

Our child has been attending this nursery since 18 months old, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The staff are absolutely wonderful-kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child's wellbeing and development. We've seen huge growth in our child's confidence, communication, and independence
since starting.
One of the standout features is the access to the farm, which provides such a unique and enriching environment. The children get hands-on experiences with nature and animals, which has been fantastic for learning and curiosity. The activities are thoughtfully planned, balancing fun with clear developmental benefits.
We feel completely confident leaving our child in their care and are so grateful for the nurturing, stimulating environment they provide. We would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

Mead Open Farm has been a great choice for our baby. He joined when he was just 10 months old and over the course of a few months he has attended more sessions per week. The admin team have been very accommodating. The baby room staff have been very attentive with his development and comfort and we've
seen him move more, talk more and really grow into his personality. You can tell they really care for the babies. They've taken great care with his allergy and changing sleep needs.


I think they go out to the farm each day but this usually falls over his nap time. However, when he's older I think he'll love this. The only area I'd improve is communication via the app. Some weeks we don't get any photos or details of what he's done throughout the day. The record of his sleep, meals and nappies is quite hit and miss. Talking to other friends, I think other nurseries keep much more detailed records.

So pleased I chose this nursery setting.
All the staff are lovely from the office team, nursery workers and chefs. They are all so friendly and take time to talk to everyone.
Handovers are so thorough, I know exactly what my daughter has done throughout the day and everything she has eaten (or not
eaten)
She now walks in with a smile on her face and comes out just as happy and content. Going to the farm on a regular basis is such a bonus too.
They staff are helpful, encouraging and so supportive. Couldn't ask for more!

Our little boy joined in September 2025. He is my first and I was a bit nervous about nursery and how he would be as before he had only been left with family if not in my care. During the settling in period he was a bit unsettled when going in but was fine not long after he went in. The farm really
helped as he enjoyed that part the most especially during the settling in period. Working with the staff in the baby room it soon didn't take him very long to settle in and go in with no issues at all. Fast forward 4 months and my little boy gets excited to go to nursery to see all the staff and the other children on the days that he is in. I have loved seeing his development in nursery and it's so lovely when they send updates on the app so I can see what he has been up to. The staff are all lovely and nothing is ever too much for children or parents. I'm so grateful to the baby room so thank you to all of them. Also to Lauren when showing us around she answered all our questions. Thank you

Godstone Farm Nursery has been amazing for my Kids. My eldest attended from 11 months and is now at school and thriving and went well prepared. My youngest has been there since 10 months and is now in Toddler room and absolutely loving it. He loves the staff, is always excited to go into the room, comes
home excited to tell me everything and he is progressing really well.
Both kids were well supported with physical, mental and emotional development and absolutely love being outside and going to the farm. The outdoor focus is exactly what I wanted for my kids. The farm trips and mini farmers program as so special and sending them to somewhere I know they absolutely love going is a huge relief. My eldest loved his time at nursery and preschool so much that he now does the school holiday activity camps and still asks about the staff and whether he will see them at activity club.
The nursery is good value for money in this area, but more importantly, it has been good for my kids!

I cannot speak highly enough of Barleylands Nursery. As an ex Nursery Manager myself, the quality of a setting was extremely important to me and the nursery is far beyond the expectations I could have wished for. The staff are excellent - they truly care about the children and all have wonderful personalities,
always happy and it shows how much they are valued in their roles and enjoy their jobs. Daily detailed updates with photos are provided on the app and handovers are thorough. The quality of the activities are outstanding, with clear intentions of learning objectives and a huge amount of effort put in to providing excellent opportunities for extended learning. The resources are wonderful and lots of natural led play and exploration. The children are able to play in a wonderful garden and daily trips to the farm extend their learning in a fantastic real world environment. My son has thrived at Barleylands and I couldn't be happier with my choice to send him here. Highly recommended

The staff are all wonderful. My daughter took a while to settle, they were so patient and comforted her always. She has blossomed since being there. She has learnt alot, made friends and become more confident in herself. She is very fond of her key worker also. She is happy to go in now.
We always get
updates on how she is doing, and at the end of the session get a detailed summary of her day. This Nursery is fantastic

.I've been sending my daughter to Barleylands Nursery for just over a year now, and I can honestly say it's one of her favourite places to be. She absolutely loves attending the farm regularly and has especially been enjoying the daily exercise sessions recently. She's developed invaluable social skills
and has made so many lovely friends along the way.
The staff are fantastic and have made the whole experience of leaving her there incredibly easy. As a first-time mum, trusting anyone with your child can feel daunting, but they go above and beyond to make you feel reassured. I also really appreciate the regular events they hold for parents and the way they recognise and celebrate their staff's hard work.

We absolutely love this nursery. The girls are so lovely and genuinely caring, and my son absolutely loves attending his sessions. He enjoys every single minute he's there, which says it all. It's such a comfort knowing he's happy, settled, and well looked after. I couldn't recommend it enough!xxx

Since my first daughter started Barleylands, she has come on leaps and bounds with her speech and social skills, she learns so much at Barleylands and the proof is in the pudding when she brings her learning home. My second started this month, and they let my eldest visit her in her room to help her
settle in, the love that the staff have for the children is exactly what you want to see and feel when you drop them off knowing they are safe and cared for. The attention to detail regarding their learning and well being is second to none and they do not only think about the children but they think about the family too, they have created a perfect parent area with tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit. In addition to this no job is too small or too big and they will do whatever they can to help you with anything in regards to your children. I feel a sense of safe and warmth when I walk through the doors to drop my girls off, we feel so lucky our girls have a place here xxxx

My son was first enrolled in 2022. He absolutely thrived at the nursery. He would come home and tell us about the farm trips and what he did that day with such enthusiasm. My daughter has been enrolled since 2024 and I can definitely recommend. Each staff member has been amazing. From baby room right
up to pre school. They have gone above and beyond for both my children and it has not gone unnoticed.

Godstone Farm Nursery is probably the best nursery setting in Surrey. There really isn't anything else like it. The children are so well looked after, well fed, and the team arrange a huge variety of teaching/learning opportunities and activities to keep the kids engaged. Alongside that, they are out
everyday at softplay and/or visiting the animals on the farm, rain or shine. This really builds so much resilience and expands their understanding/comprehension of the world and circle of life. I swear my daughter prefers being at GFDN to being at home - weekends are far less entertaining than her week at the farm. My mum guilt is drastically reduced knowing that my daughter is beyond excited and quite happy to be handed over to the key workers every morning. I take her lack of a goodbye wave as evidence of her positive feedback on the setting as well :)
