We have a 3 year old at little steps pontardawe as well as his older sister doing a day a week wraparound. The team have been fantastic for both children- supportive, caring, and providing a safe learning environment throughout.
I've been grateful for their flexibility and support, development of
the welsh language and both kids have very positive experiences with the team.

We are delighted with the Little Steps Pontardawe setting for our daughter. It is so pleasing to see that she has come on leaps and bounds, particularly her speech and confidence, since starting only a few months ago. Our daughter has formed positive attachments to several members of staff and looks
forward to attending every day. The app is a brilliant way to keep us informed with what our daughter has been up to throughout the day, there are various activities throughout the week and the food on offer for snacks is healthy and nutritious. Members of staff are so lovely, welcoming and we feel at ease knowing we are leaving our daughter in safe hands. We feel really lucky to be able to bring our daughter here and would highly recommend the setting to anyone.

Our little one loves the staff at Little Steps Pontardawe. She gets so excited when she sees them in the morning. We love receiving photos doing arts and crafts, out walking and other fun. She is always tired at the end of the day after having so much enjoyment and interactions with other little ones!

My little boy has been attending little steps since September 2025. He is non verbal and that is always a huge worry when sending your child to a new setting when they can't tell you if they enjoy it there; However since day 3 he has waited for Chloe to come and let him in every morning, with a beaming
smile and open arms. The staff there are all engaging with other professionals supporting his needs and nothing is too much trouble, he is now 1-1 and I can't praise Chloe enough. Her patience with him doesn't go unnoticed. She supports him in any way she can and it makes leaving him so much easier to know he's in safe hands and is cared for to the highest standard. He has only been there a few months and we are already noticing such a difference in his communication. It's such a well run establishment with the nicest group of girls. The facility is lovely and is always clean. There are always different activities for the children to get involved in - I highly recommend

We couldn't be happier with our experience at this nursery. The staff are absolutely wonderful - caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child's happiness and development. It's clear how much they love what they do, and that reassurance means everything as a parent.
The range of activities
on offer is fantastic, keeping the children engaged, curious, and excited to learn every day. I especially love the emphasis on outdoor play and time spent outside, which has done wonders for my child's confidence, wellbeing, and love of nature. My child comes home happy, tired, and full of stories, which says it all. We're so grateful for the nurturing, stimulating environment they provide and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to other families.

No complaints about Little Steps Pontardawe whatsoever. As a first time father of one it's an anxious time when your little one is ready to go to nursery and you want them to be somewhere where you know they'll be looked after and cared for. That is what you get from Little Steps, and beyond. Every
staff member I have spoken to have been lovely, the diary system they have through the app is brilliant and they even add photos to show what they've been up to on certain days. I think it's a brilliant place for my child's learning and development and I'll be rather upset when it comes the time when she's ready to go to school and out of here!

My child only uses the setting for school holidays and always a little apprehensive going but the staff make him feel so welcome, keep the kids busy and ensure they have lots of fun when there. We honestly couldn't be happier with Little steps. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, kind and reassuring. As a parent, sending your baby to nursery can feel daunting, but those worries disappeared so quickly once I saw how happy and settled my daughter was.
She genuinely
looks forward to going each week and is always excited to see the staff, which speaks volumes about the bonds they build with the children. It's so comforting to know she is not only cared for, but truly known and valued.
The setting itself is warm, nurturing and thoughtfully organised, and the activities provided are wonderful. There's always something engaging and creative planned, and you can clearly see how much the children enjoy their time there. It's such a joy watching her confidence grow.
I'm so grateful to the whole team for creating such a safe, happy and stimulating environment. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this nursery community.

My son has been attending Little Steps nursery for over a year, and is a full time attendee to the under 2s room. He absolutely loves his time there, and I love seeing his daily diaries and reading about all the fun he has whilst at Little Steps, and always including great pictures. The staff are wonderful,
genuinely adore the children in their care and it is such a happy place. My son is thriving at nursery, his speech at 20 months is great and his knowledge of numbers, colours and much more is all testament to the continued work the nursery inputs into daily care and activities. I also love that they go out on little walks and trips around the local community almost daily (weather permitting). I cannot recommend the nursery setting enough.

My daughter has started coming to Little Steps Childcare Ystradgynlais since the beginning of January as we moved house. She was always apprehensive going to her old nursery and we were told she wouldn't engage or join in in her previous setting.
Since her time here, she has begun speaking more clearly,
making friends, joining in and overall is so much more confident than before. She loves her time when she's in nursery and the staff are always so lovely.

The staff at Little Steps Childcare Pontardawe are truly outstanding. My little girl struggled to integrate initially and they were incredibly patient and kind with us. Nothing is too much trouble.
The daily diaries are informative and detailed and I feel my little girl is exceptionally well taken

Amazing support and care, so understanding and willing.

In the 2 years my child has been attending, I have noticed a massive leap in her speech, knowledge and social skills. My child was welcomed with open arms, the setting has mirrored our home life with love and nurture. She looks forward to going to nursery every day. Every practitioner focuses on the
child's needs from day one my child warmed one of the staff straightway, providing me with reassurance that she was ok. This staff member is an amazing practitioner and provided my daughter with invaluable skills and confidence, greeted her each morning with excitement and care, an amazing way to start the day. In the 2+ class, another staff member provided amazing support for my child's growing needs, she always has a smile on her face, recently we found out my daughter needs glasses, and after telling staff she has had chats with my daughter about wearing glasses, bought photos of herself as a child/teen wearing glasses and altogether made my daughter feel a lot better about wearing them. This staff memeber has gone about and beyond for the preparation of glasses.

Amazing nursery my daughter loves attending staff are excellent and so good with the children.
The nursery is happy to adjust to any of the children's needs and my daughter is always happy and smiling going there.

My little boy has been in Little Steps Ystradgynlais for nearly a year.
He has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. His speech has come on lovely and he really enjoys going every morning.
They have brilliant facilities and a big outdoor space which is all fenced in for the children to
play safely.
My boy is a fussy eater so if he doesn't like the lunch there is always an alternative he has.
The staff are brilliant and they don't mind you popping in, or phoning anytime you have a message to give.
I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!
