Our son has been at Butterfly Patch Hampton Court since he was 11 months old and the progress that we have seen in him is amazing! The staff are ALL so caring towards him (even those that don't work in his room) and we are greeted with huge smiles every morning. The range of experiences offered is fantastic-
from science week activities to daily outings, storytime to cooking, the photos we receive via the app always show happy, engaged learners. We always send our son in to nursery with the knowledge that he will be fed a healthy diet, offered a safe space for a nap and be given play opportunities both inside and outside all whilst being cared for by the most amazing team! We absolutely love Butterfly Patch and would highly recommend it to anybody.

My daughter has been attending the nursery full-time since 2023, when she was just one year old. This review is based on our experience in 2024. She has really enjoyed her time in the toddler room, especially the engaging activities that keep her happy and stimulated. The level of care provided is excellent,
and the communication from the staff has been very good, keeping us informed about her progress and daily experiences. Now, as she transitions to the pre-school room, the attention to her individual needs is as expected. They ensure she feels comfortable and confident in this next stage of her development. She has also made wonderful friends and has sociably developed so much during her time at the nursery, which has been amazing to see. We are very pleased with the nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents.

My daughter has been attending Butterfly Patch in Cobham for just under a year and she loves it! She goes in with a smile and comes out with one. I have 3 older children who have all attended day nurseries and I can definitely say this is by far my favourite. The staff are all lovely and welcoming.
They play some really inventive games with the children to help them reach their developmental goals. The garden is my daughter's favourite and especially loves the water play in the summer. The meals are all freshly made and my daughter is encouraged to try new foods.

A Heartfelt Thank You!
As we embark on our second year with The Butterfly Patch Cobham, we continue to be incredibly grateful for the exceptional care, dedication, and warmth of the entire team. From the beginning, we knew this was a special place, but experiencing another year has only deepened our
appreciation.
The staff go above and beyond to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where children truly thrive. It's heartwarming to see how much our child loves coming to nursery each day. The patience, kindness, and expertise of the staff shine through in everything they do, from the thoughtfully planned activities to the genuine bonds they build with each child. The communication from staff is fantastic, keeping us involved and informed every step of the way.
Thank you to the entire team for your unwavering dedication and passion. We couldn't ask for a better start to our child's early years, and we look forward to another fantastic year ahead!

My daughter has been in the nursery for about 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff are caring, loving and make it a really fun and engaging environment to be in. Despite the obvious issue of not having outside space in the nursery it doesn't deter the staff who take the kids out every day to local
parks, activities and playgrounds too. My daughter absolutely loved going to ride the train and the bus! It's a great nursery and my daughter is very happy.

Our son has been coming to The Butterly Patch since he was 2. Since then he has flourished and is ready for the reception. The staff are brilliant, very supportive, caring and patient. They have everyday outings and do lots of creative and learning activities. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

My child loves the nursery and the newest staff are the best yet. All the staff are always happy to take the time to chat with us about my child's progress and even his tantrums! They are out every day, they need a garden. We notice that on the weekends when we are out with our child he's a lot more
engaged in what's going on around him in the general community than a lot of children who are glued to their parent's phones.

Our children have been with the Butterfly Patch Cobham for three years now and have been happy and thriving throughout. The staff are warm and friendly and my children love going to nursery. They have access to an array of different activities each day, and I feel confident that my children are learning
and progressing well. The nursery take children on outings to a forest school area sometimes (this is something I would like to see more of), and both of my children love this particularly. One of my children will be moving on to school this year and I feel that they have been well prepared for this. I know that they will be sad to leave!

My child absolutely loves to go to Butterfly Patch, and sometimes when we get him in the car during the weekend, he is quite happy because he thought he's going to the nursery. All the staff are amazing, and friendly, can tell that they genuinely enjoy being with the kids.
We have no worry when the
child is at the nursery, and we know that he is in good hands. Though the driving for us is a bit long, all worth it.

Wonderful nursery setting, a home from home. The nicest and most caring staff members. Learning techniques used are simple and not extravagant which keeps children humble. Children are monitored very closely throughout the day and regular updates are given. When I needed reassurance my daughter was
alright after a bad start or an injury, they were amazing.

My daughter (3 years old) has been attending nursery since March 2024, just two half days a week. She absolutely loves it, especially going out every day to do activities or playing games at the park. Always happy with a smile on her face when I pick her up. The staff is great and very creative in organising
activities for the children.

My daughter has been at The Butterfly Patch for two years now, and I have seen the nursery go from strength to strength over that time. The children go out daily, exploring the parks and areas around them. The staff are caring and inventive with games and ways to get the children prepared for school.
Not only has my daughter made good friends at the nursery, but I have also with the mums. I am very happy with the nursery and will be sending my son there too in the next few months.

The nursery is a wonderful setting. My son attends in the preschool room and he loves going to nursery to see his teachers. They have shown him patience and care through this transition stage of school readiness and independence. The practitioners create innovative activities to engage his interest
and manage to keep him concentrated for good amounts of time. He’s developed in so many areas and loves the nursery pet which is a gecko! The setting is continuously improving since a new manager and deputy manager have led the nursery from the beginning of this year.

The new manager is superb: approachable, proactive and fully involved with the day-to-day events.
The setting is excellent and we love the treehouse and the new lizard pet!
The children go for a lovely walk each day and have had a few forest school sessions where they have built a den or had fun
with a tree swing. There are plenty of lovely SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) opportunities for the children too and my little one loves the cooking and baking.
The staff are excellent: very caring and encouraging of social skills.
I’m very pleased indeed.

The nursery is a very friendly and caring place. They previously had some staff retention issues, but now we feel comfortable. They write regular reviews and photos of the children and provide a safe environment for them to learn and play in.

Pros are that the baby/toddler care is amazing, my little one was phased in with care and a tailored approach not just what suited the nursery.
They worked with us to establish good routines/structure and managed challenging behaviour with regular comms, handovers and practical approaches.
They
learned lots of new skills which the team documented via the app with pics and extra ‘wow moments’ included which was lovely.
My eldest was in preschool and learned all the key skills (writing, letters) you’d expect.
They are supported with wider prep like sitting down in a circle, listening etc, stuff you don’t always think of but is critical.
They worked on projects around nature, science etc and free play helped develop interests and form friendships.
Cons are, no outside space which isn’t unusual for nurseries in that area, they are taken out for a good few hours each day.
Staff turnover has been a bit high but isn’t unusual or a reflection on the nursery I don't think–similar has been experienced by friends with other nurseries.
