Little Eden Nursery Ltd provides high-quality early years education rooted in Montessori principles.

The group is committed to supporting the development of each child’s unique personality. This is achieved through the provision of a secure and calm environment with a warm, family atmosphere, where children’s individuality and rights are respected. Learning is never imposed; instead, children are gently guided within a carefully prepared environment that is rich in meaningful learning opportunities.

Little Eden Nursery group aims to help children become balanced, independent and confident members of society. The use of Montessori materials, alongside a structured and consistent daily routine, supports the development of independence, self-control, confidence and respect for both the environment and others.

Children are encouraged to learn primarily through hands-on experiences. The Montessori materials support the development of dexterity, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while physical development is further enhanced through activities such as PE, dance and popular Forest School sessions, which promote gross motor skills, confidence and a love of the outdoors.

We have three children and have experienced a number of nurseries over the years and this one is, without question, the best we've ever had.
The staff are truly second to none. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child as an individual. You can feel that this isn't "just a
job" for them, they care deeply, and it shows in everything they do. The management team are equally impressive ,thorough, organised, approachable and consistently friendly. Communication is always clear, and you feel completely confident in the standards being upheld.
What really sets this nursery apart, though, is that it doesn't feel like a place where you simply drop your child off. It feels like a community - supportive, welcoming and full of heart. I know every person who works here by not just name but genuinely through heart felt conversations about my son. Choosing to place our son here has been one of the best decisions we've made, and we couldn't recommend it more highly.

My now 4 year old has been attending this nursery since before he was 3 and I cannot recommend them enough. The staff are very well trained, attentive and caring. My son has formed such lovely bonds with them, and they have helped us, as parents, a lot. From toilet training to learning letters, table
manners or emotional regulation...I cannot thank them enough! He's made many friends there and has started enjoying new foods. Also...my child would always come home absolutely knackered, their days were always full of fun things to do and learn:)

We spent time researching multiple nurseries in the area. We were looking for long term carers with minimal turnover and maximum loyalty, a maternal team, a forest school, outdoor facilities, trips, a wholesome home from home care, with the subtle guidance of hitting the EY curriculum and building a
foundation of self confidence. This was beyond matched and then at every point we (mum and dad) have been made to feel so welcome. Our child has made beautiful friends, some of which will now go together to their "big school". We are forever grateful for the solid nurturing community of the nursery. A beautiful foundation set for the next step.
I'd like to add that sometimes the nursery apologises for the more rustic look (scouts hut), but to me this was one of the biggest appeals. Bright coloured toys don't nurture morals, principles and inner joy- people do. And the people who run Cookham Montessori have been the best community for the 2+ years we have been with them. Thank you so much

What a fantastic nursery! The staff are fantastic and build such lovely relationships with the children. They are so kind and caring, and my daughter was flying in super happy within a few days of starting.


Great facilities and lots of effort goes into creating learning opportunities for the kids.

Have really enjoyed some of the extra activities this term including sports day and the day trip to the Reservoir.

The nursery is outstanding. My daughter loves going and has made such great improvement in her development, her language skills, and has enjoyed all the outdoor activities. The nursery staff are informative and helpful, and keeps me aware of the different things my daughter is doing at the nursery.
I'm always excited to receive the pictures and emails they send weekly.

Our son spent his pre-school year at Chiltern Hills and it has been brilliant for him. He has grown in confidence and has developed so much socially and academically, and is now ready to start school. The staff is what sets this nursery apart. Most have been there for many years, and all of them care
a great deal about the children and spend a lot of time working with them to develop their interests and skills. It is a very special place and I would recommend it unreservedly.

This is an amazing nursery that has been perfect for our son. We were looking to move him from a different nursery for his preschool year so visited lots and almost gave up then we came across Chiltern Hills and knew instantly it was the one. It is a 15-minute drive from home and so worth it. The staff
are all incredible, most of them have been there for years and years and care very deeply about the children. They do such a range of activities as well as a gentle introduction to phonics etc. It is all well-planned and purposeful which differs greatly from our experience elsewhere. Our son has developed so much thanks to this nursery. It seems very rare to find a high-quality preschool that does 8 AM - 6 PM all year round but this is it!

The nursery has been such a great experience for our son, the staff have been so friendly and love to make sure the children have lots to do - even when it is raining.
With lots of outings to the park, seeing goats to exploring outdoors, there have been lots of great memories made.
It's lovely that
the nursery organise regular trips so that parents and guardians can meet and share some experiences together.

My daughter has thrived in this Montessori nursery. She has become super independent in many tasks. Her speech is just way above the expectancy for a child her age and is generally very happy.
Staff are responsible, caring, and attuned to a child's needs.

Myself and both my daughters, the oldest (now 8) and the youngest (4) have attended the Montessori. My youngest is now leaving Montessori after 2.5 years, which is bittersweet as she is very excited to now be going to a big school but both us and her have enjoyed her time so much at Cookham Montessori.
The staff are absolutely incredible and we have been so pleased with all of our years at Montessori.
Thank you all so much for all of your support and efforts with my daughter. The love has been absolutely incredible and we have been beyond happy. I will be recommending Cookham Montessori to everybody!

Beautiful early years setting with lovely teachers. Both my children have loved coming here. The teachers are very kind and sensitive towards each child's needs. Lots of activities for children both inside and outside. Forest school is an added bonus - an absolute delight.

The staff helped our son settle in wonderfully. He struggled to begin with and they were fantastic with him. He absolutely loves nursery and has learned so much! He will truly miss going to Cookham Montessori.
