Day Nurseries Owned by Old MacDonald's Day Nursery Ltd in Buckinghamshire

My son has just finished his time at Old Macdonald's Latimer. Part of me is sad that his time here has now ended, and part of me is excited for him as he starts his next chapter in life. I couldn't have asked for a better nursery for him. He's loved the teachers, the soft play area, the pet guinea pigs, the ducklings hatching, and he made lovely friends there. The nursery is in a beautiful setting, communication is excellent, and the nativity play and leavers graduation is super cute! My wife and I are confident that he is as ready as he can be for school in September. If you are considering Old Macs Latimer for your children, look no further.

Overall, this nursery has provided both of my children with a safe, nurturing, and happy environment in which to learn and grow. I would highly recommend it to any parent.

As my family were moving we had to say a sad goodbye to this nursery. Although I only did the occasional pickup, I know from how happy my grandson was that this nursery delivers first class care and teaching. I could see on my visits that the staff knew their children well and were very attentive to their needs. I could also tell from the way my grandson spoke that the activities provided each day were varied and well structured and all set within well resourced facilities. This Nursery is exceptional.

Old Mac at Latimer is exceptional - the care and learning are second to none but there are so many expected extras, external people who come in to do sport, llama visits, caring for guinea pigs, graduation ceremonies, nativities, various stay and plays for family members, themed days etc, - the list is endless! The staff are exceptional and while there can be changes in some staff members, key staff / management have been consistent for the years we have been there. Our eldest has just left but our youngest is still there and we couldn't be happier.

My son has been going to Old MacDonald's Day Nursery Latimer for almost exactly 1 year and the development we have seen in him has been incredible, its clear he has learnt and continues to learn so much there. Everyone who works there is lovely and at the parents evenings and tea parties I have been to with and without my son everyone is always so friendly and knows my son even though I don't recall meeting them before! Either he is the local celebrity or they are all have incredible memories, or knowing my son, potentially both! We started at 2 days, then up to 3, and going up to 4 from September as a result. We have nurseries closer to our home but as soon as we looked around Old MacDonald's Day Nursery Latimer we knew it was the place for our son and I'm so happy with our choice.

We've had an amazing 2 and a half years at old Macs Latimer. My daughter started when she was 1 and we chose old Mac's because of the beautiful setting and flexibility with days and times.

I can't recommend Old Mac's enough, we have met a beautiful community of like minded families through it and our daughter has made memories and friends that will last forever.

My daughter first started at Old Macdonalds in Jan 2025 after moving from another Nursery, which could not increase her time there. Within minutes of visiting this Nursery I knew this was the perfect place for our daughter. On her first settling in session, her key worked and assistant practitioner were very kind, patient and calm trying different ways to help her settle into her new classroom. Lego came out, sticker books, reading books, a guinea pig to hold (deal breaker) and speaking very sweetly to her paid off. I was very impressed with how they handled this and felt safe leaving my daughter in their care.

The unit manager, is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and supportive. She goes above and beyond to ensure your child is happy, safe, learning and cared for.

The manager was quick and efficient at communicating and arranging a place for our daughter and funding.

The entire nursery team but especially the Kittens and Cygnets team have been absolutely incredible, I was so nervous to put my daughter into nursery last October but it was clear right from day one how much the entire team care about the children and how capable they all are. It has meant that I can go to work safe in the knowledge that my little girl is happy and being well looked after. Not only that but the activities the girls set out every day are so engaging and fun for the kids and I love seeing the photos of what my daughter has been up to every day. The stay and plays and parents evenings have been wonderful and it has been so lovely to be able to spend time in the setting being able to talk to the staff and meet other parents. My daughter has developed so much since she started and that is massively thanks to everyone at Latimer. Thank you all so so much for all your hard work and dedication! I would definitely recommend Latimer to anyone looking for a nursery.

An exceptional nursery, could not have asked for a better setting for my grandson. The team go above and beyond and we cannot thank them enough for all the support they offer him. He absolutely adores the staff in his unit and across the setting and we are so greatful to have found such a wonderful place for him to start his early years journey!

We are very happy with how our little one has accommodated at Old Macdonalds Latimer. He genuinely seems to enjoy his time there. The staff seem to really care for each and every child. They are also very kind and helpful . Overall we are very happy with our choice of nursery.

From day 1 I have been impressed by all aspects of the nursery. The staff are always polite, friendly and you can tell they put a lot of time into getting to know each child. The staff have also been amazing at settling in both of my children, who were very nervous at first, but both of them now love it and have such lovely bonds with the staff.

Both our boys attend Old Macs, with one about to leave after over 2 and half years there. They both enjoy it so much and are always happy to go there every morning. The staff are great with them, and with parents too either in person or on app/email. They definitely care about development of the children while there and it is not just about keeping them entertained while parents are at work. Moving from nursery in London the nursery was a breath of fresh air with the outside play areas and forest school a particular advantage.

We are so pleased that we made the decision to move our little boy to Latimer Old Mac's. He is greeted every day by caring, calm and utterly professional staff members who are always so warm and welcoming.

The team are highly diligent in reporting any concerns they may have and sharing highlights with us, both on the app in real time, and in person at the end of the day. We really appreciate the staff taking time to share photos of the children every day; the activities they participate in are so varied, educational and show attention to detail. Our son is becoming a caring, articulate little man who understands boundaries and is evermore curious; it is without a doubt that his key workers have played a huge part in that and we are so grateful.

We cannot praise the team enough for the haven they have created and look forward to our daughter following in our son's footsteps when she embarks upon her nursery experience at the stunning Latimer Old Mac's next year.

Both our children have attended Old Macs Latimer since they were 9 months old (the first one started at the beginning of 2022), and we have always felt they have received fantastic care. They go in happily and come out happy too. We get daily updates and photos from the new app they are using and always feel that the staff are there to help and listen if we have any worries or queries, they are very supportive and try to work with parents to have consistency from home to nursery (e.g. reward charts etc). The staff all clearly care about the kids and are lovely with them. They have a forest school accredited practitioner now, and the children get to spend lots of time outside which is wonderful. They are great at giving my two "sibling" time together, and I often arrive to find them playing happily together, it's nice that the different age groups have the opportunity to mix and play together at times. Overall highly recommended!

Overall, I am very happy with the nursery. I am happy with that my child is in a safe and secure environment and the staff are very caring and professional. I am happy with the daily reports and the range of activities provided for children. I am happy with the menu offered daily and am happy to see my child thriving.

Old MacDonald's Day Nursery in Latimer is fantastic - we are thrilled we chose to send our child there and we are constantly impressed with the staff. Our child has felt welcomed from day one and loves to go in every day.
