All three of our girls attended Mornington House covering a period from March 2020 until August 2026. We would definitely recommend it to other families. There is a stable, caring, nurturing core staff team which ensures that children can settle and feel safe and cared for. All our girls loved Louise's food and would eat everything she cooked! The staff at Mornington have often gone over and above what could be expected to provide excellent care to our children, including throwing our eldest a birthday party when covid restrictions meant this was impossible elsewhere, taking them on trips to further their interests, and making home visits to ensure they felt safe and secure (when this was tricky). We also greatly appreciated the flexible approach to funding hours which meant we paid a lot less than many other nurseries and only had childcare for the hours we actually needed it. Thank you Mornington (we miss you all)!

My 4 daughter has just left Mornington House to start school. She has attended the nursery since she was one. I have been extremely pleased with the care she has received throughout her time there. The nursery is so homely and welcoming and she has formed lovely bonds with the staff in all rooms. They have all shown her such care and attention, and captured her imagination throughout with carefully thought out age-appropriate activities. My daughter has always been excited to go, clearly enjoyed her time there and she has frequently told us how nice the food is! I would highly recommend Mornington House.

Our son has attended Mornington house since early 2023, he will be soon leaving to attend school. Throughout the baby room, two's room and more recently the pre school room we have been very pleased with the level of care provided. All staff are friendly and take a genuine interest our sons wellbeing and progression. Particular thank you to pre school room leader Sally who has paid great attention to recognising our sons strengths and areas for development, she puts in the appropriate measures accordingly to try help him reach his full potential. She leads the room with gentle authority but remains a safe space for children. We very much hope to receive the same care over the years for our daughter who has recently started attending the nursery too. The choice of daily freshly cooked food is also a great addition.

Cannot recommend this home from home nursery enough. My youngest has just finished pre school, having been there since a baby. For me the biggest tell of a good nursery is whether the staff are happy and enjoy their jobs and this is so apparent at Mornington. So many of the staff have been there for 10 years +! I have to give a special shout out to Diane who works tirelessly and Sally who heads up the pre school room and is one of the most dedicated nursery workers I've come across. Thank you Mornington for giving both my girls the best 3-4 years, we are so grateful and lucky to have found you!

My son joined Court House nursery in early 2023 at 11 months old. The staff were warm and welcoming and helped ease a difficult period of separation between baby and family. Our son is now due to graduate and go to school. I cannot praise the nursery enough for building and maintaining a nurturing, caring and positive environment. My son has loved going to nursery and they put a lot of effort into planning activities and trips and he is always coming home with something he has proudly made. He is also a very confident little boy and the nursery staff have encouraged him to shine. It is also clear to me the staff thoroughly enjoy their roles and some have been there for a long time which is very positive. I wouldn't hesitate to (and have) recommend this fantastic nursery to friends.

Our daughter started at Mornington House earlier this year, aged 12 months old. We have had such a positive experience of the nursery - it is a small team who are consistently so caring, kind and supportive. The settling in process was brilliant; it was very much tailored to what was right for our daughter, encouraging her to build familiarity and trust with the team. As parents, we also feel immense trust, gratitude and respect for the team. It is such a joy and relief to know our daughter is happy and being so well cared for at nursery. I could not rate the nursery more highly.

My daughter started at the Court House in June 2025. The staff were amazing and professional from the word go and I immediately knew this was the place for her. Since then, her development has gone from strength to strength, the team are so kind and lovely with the children and I can see her social, emotional and cognitive skills coming on leaps and bounds.

We've even successfully potty trained her now thanks to the support of the staff there who have all received high quality training on how to approach this somewhat tricky area. She's only 2 and a bit! I never imagined this would happen so soon for us, but with the encouragement of the staff and watching the other children, it was so much smoother than it would have otherwise been.

I am also impressed with other, seemingly small, changes in her, such as her willingness to try new foods and even her fine motor skills with eating her own meals without needing help from us. The food at this nursery is also so good!

Our little one has recently started at the Court House and it's been nothing but a wonderful .experience for us all. Firstly, we were so impressed with the settling in process - the baby room team were incredibly welcoming, reassuring and put us all at ease. We had lots of settling in sessions in the month leading up to his start date, each gradually building in duration, so that when our little one started on his first day we were all super comfortable and happy to see him go in.

From hearing the experiences of other little ones starting nursery elsewhere, I truly feel like the Court House is head and shoulders above other providers. They have gone above and beyond in making that big first step, for us all as a family, as easy and enjoyable as possible. Our son absolutely loves nursery and has settled brilliantly - a testament to the incredible baby room team. Thank you so much, it means the world to us to see him so happy and thriving at nursery!

Our son has been here since he was 10 months old and we have counted our lucky stars we found Mornington Nursery. They are so caring, welcoming and warm and I can't fault anything in the 2 years our son has been there. The staff retention is incredible which just goes to show and management and the whole team are just so welcoming and kind they make you feel like family! Our son has his ups and downs, especially with drop-offs, and the whole team give us such reassurance he is ok and after a few minutes is happily playing, he is never a burden and by the time it is picked up, he doesn't want to leave! He has made great friends and we are looking forward to pre-school. Thank you Mornington!

I couldn't recommend them enough!

My son moved from a previous setting to Court House and the staff were extremely accommodating to us, especially considering the timeframe we were working with. My son has settled in very quickly and is extremely happy to go off to nursery every time, I believe this is a massive reflection on all of the staff who have obviously made him feel very welcome and at home when he is there. The staff are all very friendly, approachable and welcoming! It feels like a little family.

Staff always seem attentive and kind to the children, my son loves going there and is always happy being dropped off in the morning. The staff tell me what activities they've been up to during the day and my son gleefully tells me what he's been up to.

We've been so impressed and pleased with the quality of care that our son receives at Court House Day Nursery. The staff all seem to love what they do, and where they work, and that is clear in the excellent retention and the close bonds between kids, peers, and carers. The culture of Court House is lovely and that comes through in the quality of care. It's all particularly impressive given the challenges of the sector/policies. Our little one has been there since 9 months and absolutely flourished, often teaching us all sorts of new games and songs, and surprising us with his developments and good habits! His dietary requirements have been carefully managed, and we receive regular updates of their activities and adventures in the app. We feel really lucky to have such a great nursery to rely on, and where our child can thrive.

Going forward we would like to see continued trips and visiting workshops for the children (eg PE coach, forest school sessions).

We have been delighted with the level of care our daughter has received at The Courthouse. She has been there for almost a year and she has flourished and really grown in confidence. She loves the staff and talks about them often at home, along with making lots of friends. Staff always seem to be on top of things like dietary requirements, belongings don't get lost, and there's always a good handover at the start and end of day - it shows attention is paid to the little details. It has also been great to see effort going into making the outdoor spaces a bit more green and adventurous recently as this is the only downside to the nursery but it's to be expected in a city. We love the trips they take out to surrounding green spaces and would love to see more of these! Overall we have peace of mind as parents knowing she is thriving, happy and well cared for, and we would recommend to anyone.

Friendly, attentive staff who really seem to love what they do. They're always more than happy to answer any questions and do such fun activities with the babies every day. Our little girl took some time to settle but they were great at keeping us updated and trying different things to help her. She now loves it! We're very happy with the nursery and glad we chose it.

All the staff are lovely and the 'Head' is very welcoming. It's a hidden gem. I wish they could both stay on past their pre-school years.

The important work of caregiving done by the lovely caregivers at this tucked-away nursery has added joy, kinship and safety to my two toddlers' day. We trust everyone at Mornington and feel welcome, involved and grateful for the work they do and the space they've created.

Mornington House is like an extension of our family. My little one has been here since the age of 1 and is now in the last year of pre-school and we could not ask for a more caring, kind and considerate nursery setting for her. We have seen her really grow and flourish over the years and I can't think of a better start for a young life. One of the best things is that the team all genuinely care. And, There is consistency, I hear lots of stories of other nurseries closing and a high turnover of staff, we have never experienced that here in 4 years. They put thought into activities, are flexible, and adaptable and always do their best for every child in their care. I will always be grateful for the love and support of management and all of the team, all wonderful people, and all that they have shared, including me personally when we have had some difficult times over the years. I cannot recommend Mornington House enough. Thank you.
