Excellent nursery, the staff are so caring & nothing is too much trouble. My grand daughter loves going to St George's in Hucknall. After looking around other nurseries in the area, this is the best one by far. Highly recommend.

I've reviewed before, but St George's Nursery truly deserves the extra recognition. While the previous manager, Karen, was absolutely lovely, I honestly believe she couldn't have picked a better person to step into her shoes than Nicola.
Nicola has been amazing as the new manager. She helped me so
much with my son's forms, making what could have been a headache feel completely manageable. Her updates are incredibly detailed, which I appreciate so much, and she is so heavily involved in the children's milestones-it's clear she's invested in every single child.
My son is having the best time here. He's always doing something different, he absolutely loved World Book Day, and he is a huge fan of the variety of food and fruit they serve. It's wonderful to see the nursery continue to thrive under such brilliant leadership. x

After moving my son from another nursery due to concerns, I can honestly say it was the best decision I've ever made. He is incredibly happy, well cared for, and has made amazing progress since joining.
My son has food allergies, and the staff take this very seriously. They consistently go above and
beyond to ensure he still enjoys a varied and inclusive diet, which gives me great peace of mind.
All of the staff, including the manager, are nurturing, kind, and genuinely invested in the children. They take the time to truly understand my son as an individual, rather than just another child in the room, which means so much to me.
On a personal level, the nursery manager, Holly, has been incredibly supportive during some difficult situations we've faced. She has always made time for me, offering understanding, encouragement, and reassurance when I've needed it most.

We've had a really positive experience with this nursery. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children's development and wellbeing. It's clear they take the time to get to know each child individually and create a supportive environment where they feel safe and happy.
The activities
are varied and engaging, helping to develop social skills, confidence, and creativity. Communication with parents is also very good - we're regularly updated on what our child has been doing and how they are progressing.
The nursery itself is clean, well organised, and full of stimulating resources. It's reassuring to know our child is in such a nurturing setting where learning is encouraged through play.
Overall, we're really pleased with the care provided and would happily recommend this nursery to other parents.

We couldn't be happier with St Georges Sherwood. After some underwhelming viewings on more local nurseries we were pretty nervous about sending our son to nursery. St George's was a little further to travel but after an introduction meeting/tour we were decided. Our son is now approaching a year at
St George's and we're so happy with the decision we made.
The staff are welcoming, caring and it's obvious they take pride in creating a nurturing environment for the babies to grow and experiment safely. Regular updates are nice to follow on the app each day and it's very clear there is a strong bond between my son and members of the staff.

My daughter has had such a lovely experience at this nursery. The staff are really friendly, caring and always make the children feel welcome and supported. Since starting here, my daughter has gained so much confidence and always comes home happy and excited to talk about her day. It's clear the team

Our little boy absolutely loves his nursery at St. George's Hucknall! He has settled in wonderfully and staff have been amazing. He's made new friends and has been learning new things everyday. After viewing numerous nurseries for my 2 year old daughter, we came across St. George's in Hucknall. My little girl absolutely loved it from the second we viewed it! She gets excited every time we pull up in the car park. The staff are amazing and I couldn't ask for a better team to take care of my
daughter. They're so caring & lovely, even rang me to check up on my daughter when she was very poorly & getting her a Christmas present. Highly recommend & couldn't ask for a better nursery.

The staff at St George's Nursery Sherwood are some of the most caring I could ever have hoped to place my daughter with. Everyone takes pride in their role of providing safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children.


Staff are very communicative, whether it relates to my daughter, and

admin concern, simply what the children will be up to the following week.


The use of the app to keep parents updated provides comfort and knowledge that children are continuing to enjoy their time there, and thrive in the environment. Similarly, staff are always willing to answer questions about children and ensure that anything being worked on at home, carries over to the nursery.


I visited a number of nurseries before deciding on this one, and I am confident I could not have made a better choice for my daughter.

Our baby has settled in so well at St George's! The staff were incredibly patient and supportive during the settling-in period. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect nursery - we love that we receive updates throughout the day with every little detail. The staff are so attentive and have really taken
the time to get to know our child and his individual needs.

My child started at the nursery in January 2025 and the staff were fantastic with her settling in sessions.
She has is happy and enjoys going to nursery. The staff have plenty of activities set up which keep the children busy.

We moved our daughter from another local nursery a few weeks ago. We were so nervous and anxious about doing this but we have not looked back! Our daughter has settled in so well thanks to the caring, experienced and determined staff. The manager and her team went out of their way to ensure we felt
listened to and supported. Our daughter is 1 year old and is so happy going into nursery in the mornings. The nursery update us every single day with photos and meals etc are recorded on the app. Communication with us as parents has been fantastic. Our daughter has specific needs and staff put together a care plan for her and ensured that all staff were aware of her needs. It's early days for us but we have been so impressed with everything we have experienced so far and are confident our daughter will continue to thrive there.

We recently enrolled our son at St. George's Nursery and we couldn't be happier with the experience so far. From the very first day, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, caring, and attentive, making the transition smooth and stress-free for both us and our little one.
The nurturing environment
at St. George's is exactly what we hoped for in a nursery. The team truly takes the time to understand each child's individual needs, helping them feel comfortable and confident. Our son has already started to settle in beautifully, and it's clear he's thriving under their care.

I really cannot fault St George's Nursery Sherwood. The staff are wonderful they've taken the time to really get to know my child with such enthusiasm and authenticity that it is one of his favourite places to be.
The initial visit and settling in process ticked all of the boxes, it was safe, lovely
home from home environment, all the staff were very skilled, professional, happy, friendly and approachable. It is completely centered around the children and families. The activities led by staff are very interactive, creative and amazing for building conceptual learning in a fun and memorable way. My child has shown positive continual development since spending time with the children and staff there and I see how polite and respectful he has become and such a social butterfly.

Our son loves being at St George's Nursery. The staff are kind and caring, and have helped him to settle in so well. They keep us updated via the app and always plan fun activities for the children.
