Canopy Children's Nursery Potters Bar

I would like to introduce myself, Angie Roberts.

I have a long serving history of 10 years working within the early years sector, where I have worked as an early years practitioner, deputy manager, and now lead as Head of Early Years & Manager within my current role, at Canopy Children's Nursery in Potters Bar. I have a first-class honours degree in Early Years Education & Youth Studies, and I have undertaken an EYITT programme with EYTS and EYPS, as well as gaining a French degree.

In my reign as Manager, I am proud to say that I have achieved numerous accolades and accreditations, such as bronze, silver and gold in Healthy Early Years London, as well as being recognised as a Champion nursery in SEND Education. This has heralded greater success by gaining “Best Preschool in North London (London & South-East) for two consecutive years in my previous role before joining Canopy. At best, this conveys my passion and conviction to lead a provision of excellence.

Delivering outstanding care and education is paramount to the cause of early years and demonstrating that these years are indeed the most informative of a child’s life, where building secure relationships and learning through play are instrumental in reaching positive outcomes.

My aim at Canopy is simple: to ensure that we achieve outstanding results as a provision and create long, meaningful partnerships with parents who feel that their child is in the best possible hands from inception to departure – they will feel secure that their child has evolved, developed and maximised their true potential.

I’m Andriana, originally from Greece and living in London for the past 15 years. I’ve worked in childcare for over 10 years, mostly with babies and young children. I’m caring, attentive to detail, and truly passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. Being part of a child’s early development is something I find incredibly rewarding.

Hi, I'm Alicia. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and am currently working towards my Level 5. I have always had a passion for childcare, developing 8 years ago when my journey began in a primary school. I love creating opportunities and experiences for children to have fun, challenge and express themselves - growing in confidence. Seeing their enthusiasm for learning build through providing a nurturing, home-from-home environment is highly rewarding and something that motivates me every day to be a positive and safe role model

My name is Lucia. I’m a qualified Early Years practitioner with over 30 years of experience working with 2-4 year olds.

I hold an N.N.E.B qualification ( equivalent to level 3 in childcare)

Working in Early years is a hugely rewarding job. I enjoy being creative with the children and love providing music and dance-based activities, as well as lots of messy play.

Outside of work, my spare time is spent in quality time with a very large Italian family. My hobbies are baking, travelling and exercising.

Hi, I'm Ruta, and I hold a Cache Level 3 in Childcare. I have been working with children since 2019, and I’m also a proud mum of three. Originally from Latvia, I have a big love for nature and spending time outdoors. A fun fact: my son once said, “My mum isn’t scared of anything and she can climb any obstacle!” – and it’s true, I really enjoy being active and love all kinds of physical activities!

I’m Steph, the Head Chef at Canopy Potters Bar. I’ve worked in catering my whole career, from being a sous chef in a 3-star hotel to running my own business and now cooking for little ones. As a mum to two toddlers, I understand how important nutritious, tasty food is. I’m passionate about creating healthy meals that children love while carefully managing allergies and individual needs. I hold Level 2 certifications in Food Hygiene, HACCP, and Allergy Awareness.
