As a parent of a child who has been in nursery since he was 1 and now he is 4 years old.


The nursery teachers, yes teachers not assistants, teachers have all been amazing teaching our son how to socialise, use his imagination, and have knowledge about the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colours, and

many other things that they teach in nursery.


Most importantly our son enjoys going there and seeing everyone. They are very child centred and take into account every child's interests, hobbies, and preferences. The nursery has ideas and experiences for our son that us as parents would not have thought to implement this into his skills.


The nursery has been amazing to our son and has resolved any issues I have had in the past very professionally and implemented solutions by the managers Karen who was the manager and now Natalie, who has continued these on.


Overall our experience has been finomonal with this nursery knowing that our son is happy and content being there.

Our son has been here since 6 months old and we couldn't be happier


The staff genuinely care. It's evident in the small things: reassuring messages when he's taken a moment to settle after a holiday, consistent updates and photos throughout the day. The app is brilliant for peace of mind at work

- knowing when he's napping, eating, and how his day is going.


One team leader has been exceptional in understanding our son's needs and ours. She knows who she is, and we're so grateful.


His learning journal shows real progress and we've watched him thrive. Management are incredibly accommodating - when we've needed extra days at short notice, they've gone out of their way to help, often confirming late on a weekend.


The family activities - trips, stay and play, Christmas fete, Halloween trail - create a real sense of community.


Reviewing an online purchase is one thing, but endorsing those looking after the most precious thing in your life is different. This was the best decision we made

My son goes to this nursery and every single member of staff is nothing but remarkable! My son has additional needs and they have gone above and beyond for him - trying to adapt the nursery for him rather than the other way around.
They care so much about every single child and their family! I was
in a dark place regarding my son's additional needs but this was picked up instantly and plans and meeting set up very quickly! I recommend this nursery to every single other parent I meet. My son is an extremely fussy eater but they go out their way to help as best as they can and my son will eat 2 of their meals he would never touch at home. My son adores so many of the staff he asks where they are when he's at home.
The best nursery for my son and I'm so happy my daughter has a place here!!

Best nursery around. Staff are brilliant. I have had 2 children in the nursery and after 7 years our nursery journey is almost over. Mixed emotions but next step school for my 2nd child.
Highly recommend the nursery.
My biggest shout out goes to one lady who has been with us from the start with both
my children and has been a big part of their journeys through the years.

My wee one has been in this nursery since he was a year old. As he is now three I could have requested a place in one of the local authority nurseries but as of the excellent care of this nursery staff it was never a consideration. My wee boy loves going to nursery, doesn't even look back at us in the
morning. The experience and learning opportunities they create are amazing and have helped progress my wee one. The app they use is amazing for getting updates and communicating with them. You can see on a daily basis your child's day and also get picture updates. We also love the Stay and Play's, as it allows you to see your child's in there environment and the work they have been working on. They also have a Parent/Carers council which also members to support the development and the work the nursery are doing. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

I would recommend Nursery Times by the River to anyone looking for a safe and secure environment to leave their child. The staff are friendly and helpful and they make your child feel special.
The recent Graduation ceremony in June was a great success. The children were all wonderful at performing
their group and individual performances on stage in front of a large (mainly adult) audience. This showed me that the staff at the nursery had worked hard to give the children the confidence to do this. I can only give them high praise for this achievement. The children were the "stars" on this day but I have to give all the staff at the nursery my congratulations for all the organisation that went into making the graduation ceremony a very memorable day for myself and other family members who attended. It was very emotional too. Thank you again to all the staff at the Nursery Times by the River for all your hard work.

I started my daughter here in February 2025 to return to work. My daughter settled instantly and has got such a beautiful bond with not only her key worker, but all staff who work within the playroom she attends. She loves it so much that at the end of the day, instead of coming home, she wants me to
join in with her play. Luckily, there are frequent stay & play's available meaning I get that chance to play with my daughter in an environment she loves and thrives in. I can't thank the staff enough for looking after my girl and being her biggest cheerleader

Our daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 11 months old and is now due to start her next adventure at school this August. The staff at this nursery are amazing and our daughter loves going to nursery. They are always on hand to offer support, advice or deal with any issues that arise.
They are kind, caring and welcoming to all the families that attend. The nursery keep us updated about our childs day through apps and handovers at the end of each day. Our daughter has been so supported in her learning and development throughout the years. We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Thank you for everything you have done for our daughter, we will miss seeing you all every week.

It's a scary thought handing over your baby/toddler over to people you don't really know and going by reviews but the staff in this nursery really are the ones you want. My little one loves this nursery he's been going to for just over a year, he had trouble eating and drinking at the start but the
managers put me at ease letting me know they would work with his team to get him where he needed to be and over time this did happen. The staff are what makes this nursery great sending updates throughout the day with the app letting me know what he's eating and also sending pictures of all activities he gets up to. They provide healthy snacks and a variety of warm lunches from a company outside the business, I never expected to hear a 2-year-old eating a fish curry. I can't fault one thing about this nursery.

My son is thriving within this nursery, he goes in happily and has lots of fun. He is offered frequent opportunities to play outdoors and his learning is lead by him. He has been attending the nursery for over 1.5 years and has had the same key worker for nearly the whole time which is great for me
as they have developed a good relationship and she has good understanding of his routines and communication preferences. Office staff are friendly and helpful and the manager is extremely supportive. The nursery asks for feedback frequently and takes suggestions on board, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. As a family we feel listened to and the nursery is a daily adventure for my son that enriches his experiences and social interaction. We will be staying to complete our preschool years here.

My child has been in Nursery Times by the River since being a year old and we have kept her there at 3 years old and will continue until school age. Great nursery with caring and welcoming staff. Particularly two members of staff in particular they are absolutely fantastic with the children and really
give the impression they love their job. The whole team are so accommodating and understanding. Any issue has been minor and when reported it has been dealt with in a professional and quick manner, with management discussing with you over the phone or in person very quickly to get everything resolved. Children are definitely at their heart and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team to any existing or expecting parent.

My 3 year old son has been attending this nursery from 10 months old and honestly could not rate it high enough He is thriving and loves going in. The ladies in his room are fantastic and show so much care towards him, knowing what he loves and planning activities around this to help develop him. The
staff are all hardworking and such a fabulous team and my son just adores them, this takes the guilt away from leaving him to go to work. Have never had an issue in the time he has been there and would always recommend this nursery to others.

My child had a great time at Nursery Times by the River and the staff where amazing. She struggled to settle to start with and the Staff in the Playdays room done well with helping her become comfortable in the nursery and keeping us updated with how she was doing. When she moved into the PlaySchool
room they done amazing with continuing her development and gave regular updates about her day. Management team were were great with helping us organise split placement when we decided to also try a nursery closer to home.

Absolutely amazing nursery, staff are so professional and facilities are second to none. The staff all take time to know the kids as even if they're not in the same room they work in. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic nursery. My youngest son has been going for over a year now and my eldest was in from 1 year old to 5 years old. We chose this nursery out of 3 others we went to see.
It just felt right, from the moment we walked in. Both my boys have absolutely thrived and my youngest will be there until
he starts school. All staff are amazing and very approachable. The nursery setting is great and the outdoor space is excellent. They also do yearly trips away to various local places, with parents and other siblings invited along too. Can't recommend Nursery Times by the River highly enough!

Nursery Times by the River has been absolutely brilliant these past 3 years. Both my children love the caring and enthusiastic staff, they're always learning something new and have always enjoyed all the well thought out activities as they learn through play. Staff are always super friendly and welcoming
and we love keeping track of what they're up to and what they've eaten during the day through the family app. Highly recommended.

All 3 of my children have attended Nursery Times by the River and I can honestly say the care and support they have given them all has been outstanding.
Communication has always been great, they have always worked with us as parents to make sure their needs where met and there's a genuine feeling of
care and compassion from the staff and management for their well being.
I would and do recommend them to anyone looking for childcare.

We are very happy at how our son has settled. This is greatly thanks to the staff supporting him and getting to know him as an individual. He has a good routine throughout the day and engages well in a variety of learning experiences and has opportunities to play with engaging resources. He is offered
a variety of food and dietary requirements are well catered for.
Parents are kept up to date with the improvement plan and developments within the nursery. There are many opportunities for parental engagement and involvement in the learning journey of your child.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was nine months old and she's now due to start school. The nursery have been amazing from start to finish and been very supportive throughout. My daughter has thrived here and will deeply miss her friends and ladies she adores. My firstborn went to a different
nursery, which was nothing like this. I'd go as far as to say Nursery Times by the River is the gold standard of childcare.
