Located near Newbury, on the border of Berkshire and Hampshire, Horris Hill Nursery offers exceptional early years care and education for girls and boys aged two and above.

Opened in September 2022, this purpose-built nursery provides a warm, stimulating environment where children can thrive from the very start of their learning journey.

The nursery operates 50 weeks of the year, with wraparound care tailored to support busy families. Situated within the stunning 65-acre grounds of Horris Hill School, children benefit from outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities, enjoying daily access to nature, fresh air, and space to explore.

In addition to its nurturing setting, children at Horris Hill Nursery enjoy weekly music lessons with the school’s Director of Music, offering a joyful introduction to rhythm, melody, and creativity. Physical education sessions make use of the school’s exceptional sports facilities, encouraging movement, coordination, and physical confidence.

Rooted in Horris Hill School’s tradition of excellence, the nursery blends high standards of care with a strong focus on early learning and development. A dedicated team of early years professionals ensures every child feels safe, supported, and inspired—building confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

    There is a non-refundable registration fee of £180.00, payable at the time of reserving a place for your child.


    There is a deposit payable upon acceptance of a place of £350.00. The deposit will be refunded in the month following your child leaving nursery in line with the Nursery Terms and Conditions.

  • Early Education Funding
    Children aged two (that are eligible) and all those aged three to under five are entitled to early education-funded sessions.


    Fifteen hours (per week) Early Education Funding (EEF) is available from the term beginning after a child’s third birthday. Some two-year-olds may also be eligible for EEF. Please speak to a member of staff for details.


    Childcare Vouchers
    We are registered with many companies that provide childcare vouchers as an alternative way to pay part of your fees. Please inquire at the nursery for more information.


    Invoicing
    All fees are due in advance for the forthcoming month and are based upon the actual booked sessions for your child that fall within the calendar month.

What a game changer this nursery has been! Once my child settled in, it quickly became a lifeline for our busy family. The children spend so much time outdoors , exploring, developing, and making friends all under the care of nurturing and dedicated staff. It's a truly unique setting that values every
single child.

Our son has greatly enjoyed his time at Horris Hill Nursery. The facilities and location are excellent. The nursery offers a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities, promoting learning through play. The care provided by the staff is outstanding-everyone is friendly, approachable, and consistently
willing to assist. I am very grateful to everyone at the nursery for creating such a positive and engaging environment for my son and for caring for him so diligently. I would highly recommend Horris Hill Nursery.

A wonderful setting with amazing facilities. The children want for nothing as they have access to all the school facilities - sports hall, playground, dining hall, theatre and acres of fields and woodland. Nursery have music lessons, sports lessons with the school teachers and are included in all the
school plays and concerts. Lucky little ones!
