Apple Daycare Ltd applies the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and adopts a child-centred approach. Each day is carefully planned to cater to the specific needs of the children, incorporating a variety of engaging activities to support each child's learning and development.

Apple Daycare at Wild Hill has two large rooms.

The main hall is the preschool room and is suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years. The preschool room is large with plenty of room for physical play and a great space to host Sports and Gymnastics coaches, street dance and sensory music teachers as well a many other exciting activities.

The smaller room to the rear of the building is a the baby room and is suitable for children from 3 months to 2 years. The baby room space is cosy and inviting and large enough for the children to explore the exciting range of activities available to support the children's learning and development.

The hall is set in a woodland copse with plenty of access to forest school play, at the rear of the hall is wide open fields with paths and nature walks for the children to enjoy. The hall has plenty of onsite parking with good access to A10/M25 and Al.

Wild Hill sits in the middle of Pottersbar and Hatfield train stations.

My little girl attends apple care, she has visited three locations and I can truly say the nursery is the best!
The workers are IMPECCABLE my little girl adores them all and I cannot scream how much I love this place.
I drop her off knowing that she is well looked after.
No words will say how much
I love the nursery and I would million percent recommend x

My daughter has been attending Wild Hill since January and she has settled in very well. She has a lovely bond with her key worker and all the staff are very good. They are always doing different activities and learning new things which they keep us all up to date with on an app, along with additional
information like food, drink and nappy changes. I feel very comfortable with my daughter attending this nursery setting and feel she has definitely benefited from attending. They have been very helpful in encouraging my daughter with any delays in development and set goals for her to work towards. I would highly recommend this nursery, the setting and the lovely team.

Both my children have gone to Apple Day Care and have loved every minute of it.
My son progressed up to the wild hill setting in October last year and it was so seemless. Luckily 2 of his favourite key workers went with him (thank you) but he regularly mentions new people in the setting.
I love all
the activities they allow the kids to access including maximum outdoor time which my son loves as well as external companies/leaders they bring in.
My son loves going to nursery and is excited every time I drop him off. It is so reassuring to send him to a loving and heartwarming environment with such lovely staff.

My son has been attending Wild Hill since January and we couldn't recommend it enough!
All the staff there are so friendly and welcoming, from the everyday team to the back room chef, our little boy looks so happy when he is left and looks forward to the days he attends nursery.
The team create so
many wonderful interactive activities, which are fun as well as educational. They have the kids well-being and development at their best interest.
Thank you for making us feel at ease and providing our son with an amazing childcare service.

My Son has been with Apple for nearly a year and I can honestly say I feel completely safe and at ease leaving my child at Wild Hill. My child's Key Worker consistently goes above and beyond with his Learning and Development. My child also loves another staff member in particular and the other girls
and runs into Nursery with a smile on his face! I would highly Recommend Apple to everybody and I definitely wouldn't send him anywhere else!!

The staff here have been really kind and supportive while helping to settle my daughter into nursery for the first time. The communication is great, the acitivies and planning they do is comprehensive and there is a relaxed and nurturing atmosphere. I look forward to seeing what my daughter has been

My son loves going in each day and the staff all seem wonderful so I am really happy with our experience of Apple daycare at wildhill. It's a nice big nursery so lots of toys that my son loves to play with and there's space for him to run around. Looking forward to the new play area being built outside
too. It's lovely receiving the photos and daily diary updates on the app, that's been really good. Overall a great experience and would recommend them!

We could not be happier with our experience at Wildhill. From the moment our son joined, he has absolutely thrived in every way. The range of activities they offer is excellent. There is always some sort of messy play, arts and crafts, outdoor time, and on a Thursday our son LOVES the early years class.
Every day is thoughtfully planned and it really shows in his learning! He has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are so skilled at introducing early literacy and numeracy in playful, engaging ways, and it's incredible to see how much he picks up. He comes home excited to share new songs, words, and ideas.
One of the things we appreciate most is how caring and kind the team are, in particular his key worker who he adores!!
We feel so lucky to have found this nursery. It has given our son the perfect start to his early years, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, fun, safe space where their child can thrive!

My child has been at Wild Hill for 6months and was at a different Apple setting prior to that. He attends two days a week and absolutely loves it!
Harriet and Olivia have created such a warm and welcoming setting that my child walks in happily, with no fuss, and as a parent that's so reassuring and
I couldn't ask for anything more. Tilly, Lisa and Louise are also brilliant and my child has built lovely relationships with them. I can't imagine sending my baby anywhere else, thank you to the Wild Hill team!

I was very apprehensive about my youngest son attending nursery so young. I viewed 5 other nurseries before deciding to go to apple daycare and now my eldest daughter attends too.
The staff are absolutely amazing and try hard day in day out to make the kids day fun and educational. Home cooked meals,
snacks, days in the garden and even visits from firefighters.
My son and daughter run into nursery and come out smiling.
The touches they do for special events such as easter, mothers day, fathers day are so thoughtful and the handmade gifts from the kids you can treasure for ever.
They honestly go that extra mile and I feel my children are well looked after.
You can see on the app the daily tasks the children are going to be doing that day. Timing of toileting/nappy changing when suncream was applied, and how much they ate. They picked up a contact allergy straight away with my daughter. The staff have all been wonderful. Thankyou again.

My daughter has been attending Wild Hill two days a week since February, and we couldn't be happier with the care she's received. Prior to this, she was at their other branch, which we also found to be excellent - so our expectations were high.
From day one, the staff at Wild Hill have been absolutely
amazing. They are incredibly caring, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the children's well-being and development. It's clear they create a warm and supportive environment where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to thrive.
My daughter settled in quickly and always looks forward to her nursery days. It's a joy to see how much she enjoys her time there and the strong bonds she's built with both the staff and other children.
We're so grateful to have found a setting that feels like a home away from home. Thank you to the wonderful team for everything you do!

Samantha (Sam) has extensive childcare experience, including having 2 children of her own. She initially started Apple Daycare as a childminding services before transitioning into a nursery in 2013 and then expanded Apple Daycare into a nursery group in 2015.


Before having children, Sam worked as a singer/song writer and makeup artist. She studied theatre and creative arts at the Guild Hall London and has many skills as a musician and performer, which she loves to incorporate into her practice.
