Apple Daycare Ltd applies the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and adopts a child-centred approach. Each day is carefully planned to cater to the specific needs of the children, incorporating a variety of engaging activities to support each child's learning and development.

Apple Daycare at Wild Hill has two large rooms.

The main hall is the preschool room and is suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years. The preschool room is large with plenty of room for physical play and a great space to host Sports and Gymnastics coaches, street dance and sensory music teachers as well a many other exciting activities.

The smaller room to the rear of the building is a the baby room and is suitable for children from 3 months to 2 years. The baby room space is cosy and inviting and large enough for the children to explore the exciting range of activities available to support the children's learning and development.

The hall is set in a woodland copse with plenty of access to forest school play, at the rear of the hall is wide open fields with paths and nature walks for the children to enjoy. The hall has plenty of onsite parking with good access to A10/M25 and Al.

My wife and I have been so happy and impressed with the care and attention our daughter has received since starting at the Apple Daycare at Wild Hill. They always meet us with an enthusiastic smile in the morning at drop-off and we've seen our daughter settle right in and is excited every time she goes
to nursery. The site itself is also in a lovely countryside location with immediate access to nature and outdoor spaces. The daily updates - either in person when collecting her, or via the app which includes photos of her playing and interacting - is greatly appreciated and gives us such a lovely insight into her day there. It was definitely a bit nerve-wracking when we were looking at different nurseries to whom we'd be entrusting the care and development of our daughter, but we could not have made a better choice and we are so happy with the Apple Daycare team and everything they provide - we would definitely recommend them to any parents looking for a safe, happy, and stimulating environment.

Apple Daycare Will Hill is fantastic! The setting is very spacious and relaxed, with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the children. The staff make sure there is a good mix of adult-led educational and fun tasks, as well as having child-led time to explore independently. We've had
some lovely arts and crafts to bring home and keep, and the staff go the extra mile to know your child and their interests. Each day we receive a detailed update of the activities, food, sleep, and nappy changes, along with photos, which is so reassuring when you are not with your child. The staff are so lovely and I am very comfortable leaving my son in their hands because I know he's being well looked after and having fun! He often doesn't want to leave to go home!!

Wild Hill Hall is managed by a warm, genuine and highly knowledgeable team. Most of the staff moved over when the physical setting transferred, so they have many years of experience and they have created a cosy, caring space, which our daughter loves. The garden space is being expanded and improved
at the moment, and we're told there will soon be a forest school section using the woodland.
Apple Daycare have a "no bad weather, just the wrong clothes" ethos, which has been great for our daughter. They have puddle suits for the children and bundle them up and get them outside every day that they can.
The nursery itself is well appointed, clean and bright, with lovely toys, tough trays of incredibly creative sensory play, books and loads more. They have a visiting music and dance teacher too.
The relationships built by these guys and the children means you know they're cared for not just physically, but emotionally too, and it shows in how comfortable and confident the children are.

We are absolutely delighted with our daughter's experience at Wild Hill! From her very first day, the care and warmth shown by the staff have been exceptional. Every morning, she goes in happily and comes out full of stories, songs, and laughter!
We've been amazed at how much she has developed in such
a short time. Her confidence has blossomed, her language has grown so much, and she's forming lovely friendships. It's clear the team put so much thought and care into creating a space that is not only fun and engaging but also supports each child's learning and emotional growth.
The range of activities offered is fantastic. From messy play and outdoor adventures to stories, music, and creative projects. We truly couldn't have asked for a better nursery experience. Wild Hill has given our daughter such a strong, joyful start to her early years, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a nurturing community. We recommend it wholeheartedly!

We are so grateful for the brilliant care our son receives at Wildhill. From the beginning, we've felt completely at ease knowing he's in such kind and capable hands.
The staff are really amazing - warm, attentive, and genuinely care for your child which was a huge thing for us when selecting a nursery
for our son. Every day he's welcomed with big smiles and reassurance, we've really seen him grow in confidence because of the environment they've created. Recently we had a new baby and they have really supported us as a family to help our son with the transition - they really do go above and beyond!
A special thank you to his key worker for being such a positive, supportive part of our son's early years and we will without a doubt be sending our daughter when it's time for her to start nursery.

We love sending our child to Wild Hill. He toddles in with a smile on his face to be greeted by such lovely staff. And as excited as he is to see us at the end of the day you can tell he's sad to leave. We get some amazing photos showing him learning new things and having fun with the staff. When we
had our settle in session the staff had taken the effort to learn his name and knew that he liked playing with cars. It's a lovely atmosphere and we're so pleased to see how happy he is there.

Our little one has just started at WildHill, the staff are warming, kind and always keep us in the loop with how the day is going and how he is getting on. He has only just joined nursery at 16 months and although he still cries a bit when I leave I know he is in such good care and the tears don't last.
The staff always respond promptly to my questions and I'm really pleased I chose WildHill.

My little boy has been coming here since his first birthday in March and I've been so happy we picked apple daycare. I viewed loads of nurseries and wasn't sold on a lot of them but got a great feeling when viewing Wild Hill and have been so glad since we went with it even though was a bit further away
for us! All the staff are so lovely and kind which is so comforting knowing your little one is being looked after with love! My little boy took a little while to settle which I know is completely normal for most regardless of the nursery but the staff were amazing and reassuring which made it so much easier for me and now I always look forward to seeing the pictures from the day as I can tell how happy he is and how much he enjoys his days which makes being back at work so much easier! Thank you to all the lovely staff at Wild Hill for all you do.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Apple Daycare! From the very first day, the staff have been so welcoming, caring, and supportive-not just to our daughter, but to us as parents too. It's clear how much love and attention goes into everything they do. Our daughter absolutely loves going
to nursery each day. She's always excited to go in and comes home smiling and full of stories. The environment is nurturing, fun, and thoughtfully planned to support each child's growth and confidence. We've seen such amazing progress in her development since starting at Apple Daycare-particularly in her speech and communication. Her vocabulary has grown so much, and she's now expressing herself clearly and confidently. It's been a joy to see her personality shine through even more.
The team really takes the time to get to know each child, and it's clear they are passionate about helping them thrive. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our daughter! Highly recommend

My little girl is very excited when it is a nursery day at this setting. The staff are kind and put a lot of effort into setting activities for the day. The children spend lots of time outside, we look forward to the new play area and more time in the field.
Our daughter seems to enjoy the tasty home
cooked meals. We get consistent updates on the ey app at the end of the day.

After scouring every single nursery in Hertford; I'm so glad I found Apple. My son has been there since he was 1. starting at the "House" and has spent the past several months at "Wildhill."
Everything has been perfect. Even at the start - his settling in sessions where the emphasis was purely on
his welfare, settling in and getting to know him and now to understanding what he is interested in and tailoring his learning towards that interest. Every request I've ever made has been honoured with the upmost care. Dietary changes/nappies/change of hours/ the odd extra day. The team and bond my son has with them makes me feel less guilty for leaving him and gives me one less worry while I'm at work. He's excited every day to go and see them. I know his day is fuelled by good food, people who care, fun learning and alot of fresh air when he wants it. Such a gem of a place. Thank you.

We are really happy with Apple at Wildhill, our daughter really enjoys going to nursery and the staff are all so lovely and attentive. My twin boys started at Wild Hill in October and they have genuinely loved every minute . The staff are so kind to them and I feel so happy knowing they are in a place they love and being nurtured .
They are always doing different activities daily and my boys genuinely get so excited as soon as we

Wild Hill is a lovely nursery and my son very much enjoys going into nursery.
The staff at Wild Hill were very kind and supportive when helping to settle my son into nursery for the first time.
The activities that the team organise are great and I can really see how my son has developed since going
to nursery.
The team keep you updated via an app, where they publish details about my son's day, which is great and I love to see what he's been up to.
The staff at Wild Hill are lovely and create a fun and nurturing environment for the children.

Our son has attended Apple Daycare since he was just 6 months old. I was initially very nervous about him starting so young, but he absolutely loved it from the beginning.
Others often comment on how advanced his speech and development are for his age and I truly believe this is a result of his experience
at Apple.
He quickly formed strong bonds with the nursery staff, and these relationships have remained consistent throughout his two years at both The House and Wildhill settings.
The team are incredibly supportive and genuinely care about the wellbeing and development of the children. Knowing he is happy, safe, and thriving at Apple has made returning to work so much easier.

We love Apple Daycare at Wild Hill! Our son loves going to nursery and doesn't want to leave when we come to pick him up. The staff are hard working and cheerful and really seem to love their job which is great to see. The food at nursery is home made and fresh every day and the children get plenty
of outdoor time. The staff also work really hard to ensure the kids are stimulated and every day is jam packed with different activities. I would highly recommend Apple Daycare.

Our son has been at Wildhill since the Spring. He loves going to nursery and enjoys his days, with a mix of free play and structured activities. His key worker has a great relationship with him but all of the staff are equally able to provide support and aid his development. We feel that he is safe
at the Wildhill site. He sleeps well and eats well. Everyone is positive and it is a happy place for him to be. Most days he doesn't want to leave!

Samantha (Sam) has extensive childcare experience, including having 2 children of her own. She initially started Apple Daycare as a childminding services before transitioning into a nursery in 2013 and then expanded Apple Daycare into a nursery group in 2015.


Before having children, Sam worked as a singer/song writer and makeup artist. She studied theatre and creative arts at the Guild Hall London and has many skills as a musician and performer, which she loves to incorporate into her practice.
