The staff are very professional, kind energetic and my son gets on with them very well. We moved our child from another nursery to this one and we are so pleased with our decision. Our son loves coming here and gets annoyed with us when he cannot go in on the days he doesn't attend. Our son settled
very quickly into the environment and is very happy here and loves spending time in the garden. I feel happy knowing when I am at work my child is in a fun, safe, nurturing environment and having lots of fun! ,There is a wide variety of play opportunities based on many themes and the team are energetic and passionate about what they do on a daily basis. Parent's are well informed about their child's day. There is a lovely garden, opportunities to go off site to the local park / Country park and an added bonus of forest school. Scott, Becca and Sean go out of their way to support with anything possible. We highly recommend this nursery.

Monkey Puzzle is a fantastic nursery that I can confidently recommend. My baby attends this nursery, and we are very happy with our choice. The staff are wonderful - caring, dedicated, and great with the children. The building is well adapted to the children's needs, with thoughtfully arranged rooms
and a wide range of age-appropriate toys and resources. The children take part in a variety of activities that support their development, and parents are kept informed about everything that happens throughout the day.

Hands down the best decision we made was moving our boys to monkey puzzle! They both love the staff, have great friends and do such fun activities every day. They get given filling wholesome meals and I love the amount of outdoor play they get, along with field trips to the park and doing forest school.
The staff go above and beyond and are always willing to help regardless of how busy they are. Both my boys are thriving there and it's clear to see from the parents evening feedback that the staff know them inside out! Thank you!

My son joined pre school room in September 2025 and I have been nothing short of amazed at the quality of the care he has received. The staff are very passionate and eager to help. The activities he takes part in are far beyond our previous nursery in terms of thought and the level of engagement with
his development. This nursery goes above and beyond, they even took the kids out to see the Christmas lights. The forest school is also great! Highly recommend!

We couldn't be happier with Monkey Puzzle Lightwater. Our little girl is in the Tweenies room, and the care, love and attention she receives is truly amazing. From the moment she started, the staff have made her feel safe, settled and excited to go in. The Tweenies team are incredibly nurturing, patient
and attentive, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about each child. The activities are engaging, fun and really supportive of her development. The staff are so approachable and lovely, it is so easy to drop our little one off at nursery as she loves the staff, caring was our number 1 priority. The staff were so helpful about booking extra days for my return to work. They have a really clear sickness policy, they check in with us as parents
when babies are off sick which means a lot to us. They remembered our little ones birthday which was so cute and lovely. The staff are honestly so nice! The fees are quite expensive but it reflects the care your little one is getting for us which we are happy to pay. The forest school is a really good idea as I don't think kids should be kept indoors all day. You can communicate via an app, you can see everything your child is up to including photos/videos, sleep times, meal times even nappy changes at their time in nursery. Child protection and safe guarding on point as you can exclude them from being shown on social media. 10/10 we are so happy :-) best nursery no issues! excellent!

Monkey puzzle Lightwater has been the best fit for our daughter. From the moment we entered during our first visit we instantly got a positive feeling and knew this would be the perfect place for us!
We joined the nursery in December 2025 and in just a few short months we've noticed the confidence
grow in our little girl, she's always so excited to go in the mornings, something I'd never thought she'd do!
The staff are always so happy and friendly, the rooms are amazingly well kept and clean. Most importantly the communication is great, we get daily updates and even at the end of day they still take the time to tell us how her day went. You can really tell that within everything they do, the children's wellbeing and happiness are their main priority.

Monkey puzzle Lightwater, where do I start. What an amazing nursery this is. Our son joined when the nursery first opened last year 2025, the staff members are so welcoming and friendly. They always have a smile on their faces when you walk through the door, they are always so happy and cheerful in
the mornings. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since starting, His confidence has grown massively, he has taken it all in his stride. We love that they do forest school so the children get out & about. The team had a few challenges just before Christmas with sickness and they handled it so well and were so professional throughout and kept us all updated daily on the family app and measures were in place. I love that the nursery do days / evenings where parents can join in with either a summer fair, Halloween party, Christmas fair and soon a valentines party. It is always so clean and the staff are so helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for their child.

An excellent nursery with super attentive staff; loving and caring towards babies, toddlers, children. We joined last August 2025, and we have only the best to say. Our daughter is very happy and she is learning so much. Amazing for her development needs! The rooms and outdoors space are all spacious
and kept super clean! Food portions and snacks are generous and also healthy. Management is very accommodating to our ways of doing things and super supportive with her needs. We receive reports and updates with great detail and we are up to date with what is happening during the day. Lots of great photos too! Moreover, the nursery is continuously developing a safe space for all parents to get together by organising various events, celebrating British and other cultures. Our daughter has attended Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Lightwater since September 2025, and we couldn't be happier. The facilities are excellent-bright, modern, and perfectly set up to support learning, development, and play in a safe, nurturing environment.


What truly makes the difference is the incredible

team. The carers are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child's wellbeing and progress. We consistently receive detailed feedback, which gives us complete confidence and reassurance that our daughter is happy and thriving.


The nursery app is fantastic and keeps us fully updated with daily activities, milestones, meals, and photos, helping us feel connected even when we're not there.

My son started at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater at the beginning of the year and I couldn't be happier with how it is going so far. The staff have been so amazing with my boy. He found it a little difficult to settle to start with, but is now absolutely loving being there and that is all down to the incredible
staff. Gemma and Courtney in particular. Most importantly they have been there for my son but also have been there for myself, giving me support, guidance and advice through what could have been a difficult adjustment for me too. I'd like to thank everyone at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater. You guys are amazing!

So far so good, trusted my gut after the initial
Tour and have not regretted my decision. After viewing a lot of nurseries, this nursery stood out for lots of reasons and we decided to go for it even though it was a bit further away from us compared to some others. The staff are so so good with the
little one, you get regular updates through out the day on the app which I find really helpful. They also do daily/weekly observations of how your little one's fairing which I absolutely love. We've only been there a short while but very very happy with the decision. The staff in the baby room are so lovely and attentive and encourage lots of messy play which my baby absolutely loves. Her key worker is absolutely brilliant and attentive. They also manage to somehow keep the environment nice and tidy at all times. The management team are on the ball and quick with responding to queries and phone calls. Overall, an all round amazing nursery. A very pleased parent.

This nursery is amazing and amazing with my son who has suspected autism and struggles to settle places. He goes in happy and content and loves his friends and teachers.

My son has just completed his first week at Monkey Puzzle. After making the difficult decision to change nurseries 18 months in and I am so pleased that I took that leap. I have been so impressed with everything - from the care the staff provide to the children to the communication with parents. The
interaction the staff have with the children is excellent and they engage the children well with a range of l activities throughout the day.
All staff within the nursery are very welcoming and smiley. My son has asked to go on days he doesn't usually go and also on weekends! Thank you all in the toddler room and the management team! I am so excited to watch my son continue to grow and thrive.

We've had such a lovely experience with Monkey Puzzle Nursery. My son genuinely enjoys his time there and always comes home happy, full of stories about what he's been doing and who he's played with.
What really stood out to us was how excited he was to go back after the Christmas holidays - no nerves,
no hesitation, just pure enthusiasm to see the staff and his friends again. That alone says so much about how safe, cared for and comfortable he feels in the environment they've created.
The team are warm, attentive and clearly build strong bonds with the children. It's reassuring as a parent to know he's somewhere he feels secure and valued. We're very grateful for the care and positivity they show every day.

My son has been going to monkey puzzle nursery for around 5 months and he absolutely loves it! All the team are incredible! They always have great stuff going on for kids and parents and the facilities are thoroughly flight out for your little ones development skills. I would recommend this nursery

My daughter started in the babies room in August, she had just turned 10 months old and I was understandably anxious about her being away from me for the first time - however Monkey Puzzle Lightwater made the transition so easy and stress free. They offered my daughter a gradual settling in process
to build up her confidence. She's been there a while now and absolutely loves it. The staff are friendly, warm and attentive to the little ones needs. They're also absolutely brilliant at setting up activities and crafts to keep the babies stimulated.
The forest school is also fantastic and the original reason we chose this nursery - they prioritise time outside which is fantastic.
The Management team Scott and Becca reply to any queries very quickly and are always very happy to help. The babies room staff - Courtney and her team are just wonderful with the babies. Honestly, love this nursery and feel very happy with our decision.

My daughter and I absolutely love Monkey Puzzle Lightwater! The team are so dedicated and adoring of the children. The set up is beautiful and the vast range of activities is amazing! I could not recommend anywhere as much as here!

Scott Humphrey

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

Hi, my name is Scott. I am the new nursery manager for Monkey Puzzle Lightwater, and I am super excited to meet you all and build a wonderful community nursery to give your children the best start in life.


I started my journey working with children back when I was 16 years old, where I began as a PE Coach and Football Manager. I knew from this experience that this was the industry I wanted to be in. From there, I started my apprenticeship in Childcare and once completed after 18 months, my career developed from Nursery Nurse, Nursery Chef, to Deputy Manager and eventually Nursery Manager and Area Manager. I have done every role with love, care and 100% commitment.


I have managed several nurseries, which have provided me with a wealth of Early Years experience. I am a massive advocate for Forest School and outdoor learning, completing my Level 3 in Forest School over 8 years ago and implementing this in every nursery I have worked for. I would be described as fun and organised, you may hear me singing terribly "Hakuna Matata", but I love to live life to the fullest! I am a very lucky man, as I am a dad of two, Molly (10) and George (7), who are my world, along with my partner and my dog Rupert.


I am looking forward to opening the doors of Monkey Puzzle Lightwater and creating a special nursery in the community for children and families.

My name is Becca and I am the Deputy Manager at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater!


My journey into Early Years started when I began working with children in the art of dance. Teaching little ones from the ages of under 5 to 18 years old in the style of Ballet, Tap and Modern!


I then moved on to Early Years Education in a Montessori setting in which I completed my NVQ Level 3. I took the leap during COVID-19 to join a setting as a Room Leader in a ‘Curiosity Approach’ driven setting. I progressed quickly to Deputy Manager and then the Manager. I have a wide range of roles and from each one, I learnt so much and gained knowledge and understanding of the minds of a ‘little human’.


I have over 10 years of experience working with children and I wouldn’t change it for the world!


I am quirky, and bubbly and love unique, fun learning opportunities for all ages. I am getting married next year! Eek! I have a loving partner and crazy family and my dog Nelly.


I am honoured to start this journey with Scott and the team at Lightwater and share our passion, imagination with you all. I am delighted to be working for such a warm, welcoming, and caring company!

My name is Sean and I am the Third in Charge at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater!


I have been working in Early Years since 2014, working my way up from, Bank Staff, through to Third in Charge. I chose this career path because I have always been big on family time, I have many cousins that I have looked after through the years and thought why not turn this into a career? I love the different days, I love the fact that you can go from being a pilot of a super-fast aeroplane to being a lion going through the jungle. I love cooking with the children and getting messy, I normally find flour in my hair when I get home.


I joined Monkey Puzzle Lightwater because I love the fact it is a brand-new nursery, so as a team, we can make it our own and watch it thrive in the coming years.
