Funding & Fees
Daily Charges per Person
Our fees vary depending on the sessions you require. We accept both 15 and 30 hours of Government-funded childcare for eligible families, helping to make high-quality early years education more accessible.
We offer a range of flexible session options, including full-day, school-day, morning half-day and afternoon half-day sessions, all available during term time.
As Smiles Pre-School is a term-time only setting, families requiring childcare during the school holidays can also benefit from year-round care at our sister Day Nursery in Sapcote, located just four miles away. Many of our children enjoy the best of both settings, attending Smiles Pre-School during term time before seamlessly moving to our larger Sapcote nursery during the holidays. This provides continuity of care, familiar faces and a fun, engaging environment throughout the year.
To help make childcare even more affordable, we also offer sibling discounts and accept Tax-Free Childcare payments.

Since my daughter has started at smiles in April 25 she has come on in leaps and bounds and that is with thanks to all the staff in the nursery. She loves to come in every day and even wants to go when the provider isn't open
Thank you for the lovely review, we appreciate your time and effort. It is so nice to hear how much your daughter loves preschool!
We can't thank the team at Smiles Hinckley Parks enough, for looking after our youngest son. As a SEN child, I was anxious how he would get on but Nic, the whole team and especially his key person Sydney have worked hard to ensure he was happy, settled and safe. They were so helpful in getting him the right support in place, and in helping him transition slowly over to his Primary school in preparation for him starting this August. Not only are the staff here experienced in their childcare, they are all also really kind, lovely people who are always available to listen to parent concerns, put actions in place to support where needed and you can see that they all genuinely care about the children. Thanks so much for looking after our little boy so well.
Thank you so much for your review, it is so lovely to hear the wonderful feedback about our staff team. We are delighted to know how supported you and your son have both felt during his time with us and how well he has developed.
My daughter settled so quickly, very friendly team. Provide fun activities and link to childrens interests. Daughter always come home happy.
Thank you for leaving us such a glowing review, we really appreciate and value your thoughts.
The setting is a smaller one but feeling homely and not overwhelming. Thr pre school also make use of the large school field they back onto. Access to a really big green space was lacking at a lot of other settings we viewed. Theres always a variety of activities for the children.
Communication via the app is great and my children have always been happy and eager to run through the doors in the morning.
Most assuringly, the staff for the majority, have stayed the same over the 8 year time span we've been with the setting; which I think reflects how the staff love their jobs and clearly find it a great place to work.
I would definitely reccomend.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we value hearing how settled both of your children have been here at Smiles.
Smiles Hinckley Parks is an incredible pre-school! They know every child as an individual and work with you to celebrate their strengths and to build on their weaknesses. In my experience they treat my daughter like one of their own children. They build games and activities around her personal interests and are child centred rather than system centred whilst also still hitting curriculum markers. There are events ranging from dress up days to family reading sessions and an app that gives me a sneak peek into the child that I hope she is becoming when i'm not in the room. I cannot recommend them enough. I feel safe and secure that we have amazing people nurturing our daughter and helping with her inevitable transition into big school. The daily guilt of being a working mum with long hours away is that little bit easier knowing she's with the Hinckley Parks Pre-School team, thank you.
It is so lovely hearing how settled your child is and how our child centered approach is impacting their development.
I 100% recommend Smiles to anyone. I'm so glad we chose them.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, it is lovely to hear how your son has grown in confidence. The staff really are an incredible bunch and I appreciate hearing how valued they are.
Our son loves it at this Preschool. We always feel confident that he is well looked after and has a great time. The staff are very caring and have taken the time to know our child individually. They always have lots of varied activities from day to day for him to get involved with, he has grown in confidence since going here.
Thank you so much for your review, it is so lovely to hear how confident you are in the care your son receives and how well he is doing during his time in preschool.
A lovely, friendly, accommodating pre-school. My son has had a fantastic time here and will miss it when he goes to school. The children have lots of opportunities offered to them, regularly going out and about on the minibus. Smiles did a lovely graduation ceremony for all of the school leavers. Very happy that we chose Smiles and would recommend it to anybody.
My little boy loves it at Smiles Pre-school, they support his development and I never worry about whether or not he is properly looked after, the staff are very hands-on and attentive to the children in their care. The staff are very friendly and approachable, they put on lots of different activities for the children to join in with and sometimes go out on little trips. They provide snacks for the children to enjoy and new things for them to try. Overall great experience, my son has come along a lot with his confidence and his speech since going here. Thank you!
Smiles has the most welcoming and patient staff; each one makes the effort to know your child personally and with the wrap-around care, they get to follow the successes of children through their school journey too. This nursery really does prepare children for school and made my daughter's transition to school really smooth. My son now attends and he loves the array of activities and the kindness of the staff. Thank you!
Now, whenever there is a half term she's counting down the days until she can go back. The staff are happy and engaging. They do fun things like baking, dancing, performing arts classes, and they even take them out on field trips.
Would highly recommend this nursery, hands down the best we've been to!
Couldn't be happier with Smiles! My eldest attended Smiles in 2021 and they were amazing, I looked around so many settings and was so happy to find Smiles. It really is a home-from-home environment with genuinely committed staff who were always so kind and caring and went the extra mile for both children and parents, my child loved their time at Smiles and so did we, I have now sent my second child to Smiles and have yet again been so happy with the level of care. Both my children excelled here and developed lovely bonds with their key people and the rest of the staff, communication is brilliant too, I get updates from the app and am able to access their online journal with their photos and development. Management has also been brilliant with any questions I've had. Smiles is such a lovely place with the most incredible staff.
All of the staff are really lovely, always smiling and welcoming. My daughter really enjoys it at Smiles. She has been going for over two years now. Seems to be lots to do inside. Recommended. Secure, entry via intercom, they make sure the gate is locked.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It is brilliant to be able to hear parent and children's opinions about the setting. As a setting, we have wonderful outdoor resources so, come rain or shine, we have the ability to make use of outdoor learning to those that enjoy the outdoors.
My daughter loves going here! The staff all know her as an individual and truly do care about her. As soon as the doors open in the morning she just grabs her bags off me and runs straight in. The activities and themes they do each week are great and educational, encouraging the kids to learn new skills. Definitely recommend Smiles Preschool!
Hello and thank you for such a lovely and honest review. Our team prides itself on getting to know each child so that they are able to teach and nurture them in a way that suits them. A lot of our activities and themes are based on the children's interests, which gives us the ability to be able to extend their learning through play :-)
My son absolutely loved Smiles Preschool when attending (he was there for just over a year before moving up to the school). He always came out smiling and would have enjoyed the activities carried out. He was also very fond of the staff members and was happy to approach any of them if his key worker was not available. My only downfall about the preschool was the people who invoiced, so nothing to do with the specific setting. Numerous times invoices were incorrect and also, upon discussions in the playground, parents found that some were charged differently to others, even when still having government funded hours left over.
Thank you for your lovely review of the setting. We were absolutely delighted to have cared for your child, staff were very fond of him too and we hope he is enjoying school just as much.

Kelly – Director
With more than 23 years of experience in childcare, Kelly is the visionary founder and Director of Smiles. Her journey into early years began following a successful career in nursing, where her passion for caring for others inspired her to pursue a new direction in childcare. After achieving her Level 3 Early Years qualification, she established her own childminding business and quickly recognised a growing need for high-quality wraparound childcare for local families.
Determined to make a difference, Kelly founded the first Smiles Breakfast and After School Club at Manorfield Primary School in 2006. Driven by her ambition to continually improve outcomes for children, she went on to study Child Psychology at the University of Warwick before expanding Smiles with additional settings at Gilmorton, Holliers Walk (now Hinckley Parks) and St Margaret's, building a trusted reputation for outstanding childcare across the local community.
In 2016, Kelly fulfilled a lifelong ambition by opening Smiles Day Nursery in Sapcote, creating a nurturing environment where children could learn, grow and thrive from their earliest years. This was followed by the opening of Smiles Pre-School at Hinckley Parks, further strengthening the Smiles family and providing a seamless childcare journey from babyhood through to school age.
Working alongside her husband, Simon, Kelly has transformed Smiles from a single school club into a thriving family of childcare settings built on shared values of kindness, quality and community. Together, they remain passionate about continually investing in their settings, their team and the experiences they provide for every child and family.
Despite leading a growing organisation, Kelly's greatest passion has never changed. She loves spending time in the settings, interacting with the children, supporting her teams and seeing first-hand the confidence, friendships and lifelong love of learning that develop through the Smiles experience.
Family has always been at the heart of Smiles. Kelly and Simon's four children have grown up alongside the business, either attending the settings or becoming valued members of the team while gaining their own childcare qualifications. This family ethos continues to shape the warm, welcoming culture that defines Smiles today.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, travelling, hosting family dinners and games nights, and keeping active through running, the gym and her latest passion, paddleboarding.
