Located within Over Children’s Centre, Over Nursery & Preschool is a bright, welcoming setting, offering high quality early-years education and care for children from 3 months to 4 years. The setting features 4 dedicated rooms – Baby, Toddler 1, Toddler 2, and Preschool – with free-flow access to secure garden areas. Each space is thoughtfully designed to support every stage of your child’s development.

The Baby Room offers a calm, homely space with its own sleep/Sensory room and outdoor space – perfect for little ones to develop confidence in a peaceful environment. The bright and spacious Toddler 1 Room encourages exploration, independence, and social skills through imaginative play and have a separate all weather outdoor space.

Toddler 2 and Preschool share the same space but are divided, this allows the children in Toddler 2 to get used to the bigger space and busier rooms in preparation for their move into preschool. Children enjoy a stimulating open-plan space filled with engaging opportunities.

Preschool has resources and opportunities that will help to get the children ‘school ready’

At the heart of the setting is a caring, highly qualified team dedicated to helping every child thrive at their own pace. Each room is overseen by an experienced supervisor, while the Nursery Manager leads a culture of care, curiosity, and growth. In partnership with the early-year’s team at the Children’s Centre, S4YC Over Nursery ensures each child’s learning and development needs are fully supported every step of the way.

Both my children attend S4YC @ OVER and absolutely love attending! Staff are always welcoming and kind. Always kept updated on class dojo and what my children are doing throughout the time they are there.

My twins go to the nursery two days a week, the whole team have been amazing, helping them settle in, updates and photos in the app are fantastic to put my mind at rest when drop-offs are full of tears! They have said for me to ring anytime I want to and anytime that I have called I have been reassured
that they settled very quickly and were having lots of fun!

All four of my children have gone through the setting and have loved it, my little girl is currently in pre-school and has a lovely bond with her key worker. Fantastic setting and lovely staff, very friendly.

All the staff at the nursery are polite and friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Any issues are dealt with as soon as and they’re all very helpful.

Staff at the Over nursery are friendly, approachable and helpful. They answer messages quickly and help resolve any issues. I love the move to the app, I feel that I am getting updates on the activities my child is completing and this allows me to talk to her about them when she comes home. Over provide
regular parents evening appointments, which enables me to discuss my child’s progress and talk about areas that can be developed at home. I have noticed that the nursery offers many external activities e.g. mini zoo and stay and play sessions. My only criticism of this (selfishly of course) would be to maybe alter the day, as it is always on a Friday and my child does not attend on a Friday, so often misses out on these experiences. My child has attended Over nursery since 10 months old and has thrived. Her speech is amazing and she often talks about the staff as being her ‘friends’, she loves going to nursery and I’m sure she will continue to do so when she moves into preschool.
