Little Treacles Nursery in Otford provides a nurturing environment for children from 3 months to 5 years. Rooms are designed for each age group, supporting unique needs and development.

The Tiny Treacles room offers a calm, caring, and homely environment for babies. The team works closely with parents and families, mirroring home routines to ensure each baby feels secure, content, and understood.

As children grow and develop, transitions occur into the Toddling Treacles and Little Treacles Pre-School rooms - vibrant, stimulating spaces designed to ignite curiosity and support early learning. Each room is arranged with low-level, accessible resources, encouraging exploration, independence, and choice throughout the day.

In the Pre-School Room, the focus is on learning through meaningful, real-life experiences. The team supports each child to follow individual interests while developing key skills for school and beyond. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Little Treacles Curriculum, children practise everyday skills such as putting on coats, using the toilet independently, and serving themselves at mealtimes, an approach that also promotes fine and gross motor development. All age groups have access to the onsite garden and organised off-site visits as often as possible. These excursions inspire a deep appreciation for the wider world and community.

The team is committed to giving every child the best start, ensuring each day is joyful and full of learning opportunities and happy memories.

We moved to the area in the summer, and one of the things we were concerned about was taking our son out of his nursery at the time (which he'd been attending since he was a baby) and having to establish him at a new one.
We had nothing to worry about. It took him a matter of days to be comfortable
in his new setting, and now several weeks down the line he absolute loves it, and the welcoming team there have been a completely pivotal part of that transition.
When they're not having fun inside the nursery (the staff provide all kinds of games & activities) they are taking trips to the local library, the allotment nearby, and he's even taken part in his first sportsday! I can't recommend enough, and particularly for people who want a place that feels like an integral part of the community.

Lovely local nursery. The staff are highly supportive of all family situations and go to great efforts to give all children a fun and stimulating experience.
Not bless with lots of outside space but make sure they have fun visits to the park and nearby fields.

My son absolutely loves Little Treacles, which was a huge weight off our minds when he first joined at the start of the year. The staff were so welcoming and supportive, we get regular updates and we love hearing about the fun he's had when we pick him up in the afternoon!

Our son settled in well and very quickly at Little Treacles after leaving his previous nursery due to moving house.


We have always found the staff to be easy to speak to, have good handovers on pick up which never feel rushed and he has always come home happy but very tired! As soon as we viewed

Little Treacles for the first time, he was off exploring, playing and engaging with Sam and the team and we may as well have not even been there.


The food options are varied, they have dance and sports classes, and also visit the local library and the playing field and park frequently. The ducklings that visit for a couple of weeks every year make a lovely addition and teaches children about gentle hands and valuable life lessons.


I would not hesitate to recommend Little Treacles to any parent or caregiver considering it and we are very sad to be moving on to primary school in September. We've even enrolled our son in after school care there as our son is so content at Little Treacles.

My daughter has attended Little Treacles for nearly a year and loves it. The nursery has grown massively in the short time it has been open which to me, is a sign that the kids and parents love what they're offering. The staff are fantastic, they clearly love what they do and they have a wealth of experience
and know the children really well. I particularly like that all the staff spend time with her in some capacity and she knows everyone's names, it really helps when they move up an age group to have a familiar face. They do lots and lots of messy play too which my daughter loves. My daughter is really happy to go there and there are no tears at drop off, the handovers are thorough and they are always really good at communicating any last minute slots that become available. Overall I am very happy with my choice.

My son adores Little Treacle's and my husband and I have noticed such a huge development in his learning and skills since being at the nursery! He loves every member of the team & is genuinely excited to go! We love seeing his observation updates on their app with all the different activities he does
each day, and it's a lovely mix of outdoor play, dancing, painting & more! Little treacle's is highly recommended by us, our son is thriving being there & we love the flexibility of days / times for him to attend, the amazing meals he has for lunch, the learning activities & all of the Little Treacle's staff too!

Our daughter has been at Little Treacles for over a year and loves it. She asks to go in on days she isn't booked and is always happy to be dropped off there. The staff really take good care of them and she has developed some wonderful friendships. There is always a good handover and they are fantastic
in catering for her special dietary requirements and intolerance. They always make sure they include her and provide alternatives when she can't have the food that is provided for the other children. They take little trips out all the time, have sports visitors in to do sessions with the children and generally provide them with great experiences. The outside space isn't huge but they make the most of it and do use the field and playground which is super close. I will be sending my youngest there too and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Our child has been going to Little Treacle's for over 6 months. The child is very happy in the setting and as parents we are equally happy with the way the nursery accommodates kids' preferences and interests, as well as their wellbeing. It's always tricky when kids are at a very young age and cannot
communicate properly, but we feel the nursery staff and management are very attentive to their needs.
Since it reopened under new Management last year, the nursery is very popular locally and overall we're happy with the setting they have created for kids and the care they give them. I have no hesitation in recommending it to other parents thinking of choosing Little Treacle's for their little ones.

We love Little Treacles! Our 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son attend the nursery and they couldn't be happier there. The team are professional, kind, caring and well trained in what they do which is everything that we that we want. We love that our children are constantly learning through play
and exposed to many exciting experiences, both in the nursery including sports and dance lessons and further afield including a trip to the theatre and local soft play! The nursery leadership is impeccable, we feel that our children are exceptionally safe and nurtured in the environment and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Little Treacles to anyone!

My son started at Little Treacles Nursery in September and we couldn't be happy with the level of care he has received there. All the staff are absolutely brilliant, in particular my son's key worker and another staff member. He raves about them and what they've gotten up to every time we get home.
We feel comfortable leaving him in their care and confident that he will be well looked after.
The actual nursery has a lovely set up, with plenty of choice of toys and activities and is always kept clean. The location is great as it's right next to a park and playing fields where the children are taken to often to get outdoor time.
We love that we get observations with photos and descriptions every time he's there so we can keep up to date with what he's doing.
In summary, we would highly recommend Little Treacles to anyone that is looking for a nursery for their little one.

My daughter started only a few months ago and has settled so well. All the staff are so warm and welcoming. There are always lots of lovely toys and activities for her to do and I can see from her photo updates that she is loving it. I can also say that the food smells amazing! Highly recommend

We couldn't be more delighted with Little Treacles. My daughter (3) is clearly very happy there. The staff are so open and welcoming and we always get a run-down of what they've been doing each day. The nursery has its own allotment and they regularly go to the playground and the local library. My daughter
went on the train to Sevenoaks to deliver donations to a foodbank once - she was so excited to go on her first 'school trip'. My older daughter (6) has also attended their holiday club and she absolutely loves it and always asks to go back. For anyone who was familiar with the previous nursery at this site, the two businesses couldn't be more different. After the new manager took it over, the hall has been totally re-painted and they have far better toys and resources for the children and are much better at communication. I had a good feeling about Little Treacles from the outset, but nearly a year later we are still super happy with them. Definitely recommend!

I have been incredibly impressed with the staff at Little Treacles from day one when we enquired with them Summer 2023 when we saw they were taking over a previous nursery on the same site. Sam and Kelly were thorough in their information and were very flexible in their approach. Every care has been
taken for allergy concerns. I love that the staff have taken the extra time to get to know parents and welcome them inside for pickup and you don't feel rushed out the door. They provide so many extras that you would not get at other nurseries - making homemade bread, taking the kids to their own allotment, teaching the children important life skills with rearing the nursery baby ducks, making homemade lavender playdough. Just fantastic! We receive daily updates via the app and weekly newsletters of what the children have learned that week. We are looking forward to their family fun day in July! My son has been going to Little Treacle's since they opened in October 2023. The staff there are incredibly welcoming and lovely. My son has come on leaps and bounds with his social skills and has made lots of lovely friends. He is always very happy to go in nursery and actually asks me if he can go
to nursery on his day off with me. I would highly recommend this nursery. The nursery itself is always very clean and has lots of lovely toys and a nice outdoor area - they do lots of brilliant activities.

My son started at Little Treacles at 10 months old and I’ve felt he’s in safe and caring hands since his first day! The staff are all so lovely and the nursery has a very homely feeling. We get regular updates via an app including photos and it’s lovely to see all the different activities that he gets
to take part in. At pick up I always get a rundown of his day and it’s clear that the staff know him very well despite him only attending once a week. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nursery in Sevenoaks.

As a mum returning to work, I couldn’t be happier and more relieved about the high-quality provision and care my 2-year-old receives. She loves attending Little Treacles and talks fondly about the staff and her friends there, even on the days she doesn’t attend. They are incredibly welcoming, friendly,
patient and accommodating (to name but a few!) We are so grateful that our daughter goes in happily and without any hesitation. She is provided wonderful experiences to support her development and the communication from staff about her day is great. Her independence is nurtured and key skills are promoted daily. We were thrilled that they offered after-school care and holiday clubs - our eldest equally loves being at Little Treacles! The nursery just radiates warmth and care in wanting to give all children there the best opportunities, as well as supporting busy, working parents!

My name is Kelly, and I live in Ashford, Kent, with my husband, daughter Elsie and our dog Ronnie.
When I am not at nursery, I can usually be found at home or enjoying time with family. I am forced to the park quite often by Elsie. I do go to the gym. However, I also love food! Balance is everything! I have worked in the childcare industry for over 25 years.
I started as an apprentice when I left school, before becoming a deputy manager and then a nursery manager for 10 years, all with the same company.
I have an Early Years Degree and hold an Early Years Professional Status.
I am also Paediatric First Aid Trained, and I am trained to be a designated safeguarding lead.
I aim to ensure that children and families receive high-quality childcare where children can thrive. I love watching children play, learn, flourish, and embrace their uniqueness. Working together with families to make a positive difference is something I truly enjoy.

My name is Samantha, but everyone calls me Sam. I grew up in Southeast London and moved to Kent a few years ago, where I now live with my husband and our teenage son. I have a real love for animals—especially owls—and we share our home with a dog, a tortoise, and a hamster.


When I’m not at nursery, you’ll often find me swimming, reading a good book, or exploring the outdoors with my camera, capturing the beauty of nature. I’m also passionate about music, particularly Elvis Presley, Queen, and anything from the 80s!


I have worked in the childcare industry for 20+ years, taking on a variety of roles including apprentice, room leader, and deputy manager, before becoming a nursery manager in April 2021. I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, as well as an NVQ Level 3 in Management and Leadership. I am also Paediatric First Aid trained and qualified in British Sign Language. I am currently working towards a Level 5 Qualification.


I love working in the early years because each day brings a new adventure and a fresh challenge. I’ve always found the acquisition of language fascinating, and seeing children develop their language skills from one day to the next brings me so much joy.
