Avon Valley Nursery and Preschool is designed to support every aspect of a child’s development.

The team are passionate about providing children with opportunities to experience and learn about the world around them through their senses, physical involvement and active play. This is enhanced by the nursery setting, which features extensive outdoor areas, sensory spaces, vegetable plots, mud kitchens, hard standings, and all the benefits of a 65 acre wildlife park! They have a special partnership with award-winning Avon Valley wildlife and Adventure Park which allows for a truly rich, hands-on learning experience in which both formal and informal education can flourish.

Inside, there is a free-flow environment rather than conventional rooms, so everyone can play together with a wide range of activities.

Th team believe that children learn most effectively when they are:

  • 0-5 Years:
    No funding - £416.70 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
    15 Hour Funding - £343.48 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
    30 Hour Funding - £270.31 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)


    Early Club 7.30am – 8 am is £5 per session, bookable through the nursery.


    We accept the 9-month, 2, 3 and 4 year old funding,


    We annualise our fee’s and all fees above include all optional extras. Full details can be provided.


    We are approved providers of Bath and North East Somerset County Council’s Government Early Year’s Funding grant for 9 month +, 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the school term after they are 9 months of age for working parents and from 3 years for all children. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age.

  • Minimum requirement of two full days per week.


    We are approved providers of the Government Early Year’s funding. Visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for more information on funding and fee support – and to apply for your funding code. This funding does not cover certain sundries, activities, visits and hot meals so if a child is using the funding a daily charge will be payable.

Ever since day one of viewing the nursery, the team have been excellent.
All the staff take the time and make the effort to get to know and build that relationship with the children individually and also the parents. Nothing is ever too much of a hassle and they are always willing to stop and answer
any questions/explain to you how your child has done that day, even though they are busy. All staff make you feel at ease and welcome and that takes any worry away from leaving your child in a nursery setting, even on the days when my daughter has got upset going in, I truly feel comfortable and happy that she will be comforted and looked after.
The location, setting and site of the nursery is exceptional and the activities carried out on a daily basis are amazing. I haven’t seen or heard of a nursery doing so much for and with children on a daily basis to help them develop and have fun. I have already seen massive steps with my daughter in only 3 weeks!

My little girl absolutely loves coming to nursery each day. She will confidently kiss me and go happily off with the friendly staff.
As it is a new nursery, it’s been lovely how the children have all been part of the exciting opening. They have all brand new resources and each day is new as well as
they follow what the children are interested in, very child-led.
I’ve not even mentioned the fact they get to use the animal and play park on-site! I love how they get to see a reindeer, meerkats, and bunnies each time and to the pumpkin patch! They also get to play in the sand pit and indoor soft play.
The staff seem to genuinely enjoy their job and all appear very coherent and knowledgeable. They have taken the time to get to know my daughter as an individual. I love hearing the personal stories and she is being her true self.
The photos and weekly email they send each day/week is brilliant as you can see the many fun activities they do, such as cooking.

Such a lovely setting in a beautiful location. My little boy is thriving already, being able to visit the farm and being outdoors was a huge factor in deciding on him attending here.
The staff are kind, compassionate and attentive - the manager, in particular, put my mind at ease and was able to answer
all of my questions and continues to support myself and my son, she has been amazing, very knowledgable and my son loves her and his keyworker.
It's been a massive success in transitioning him being away from me and his siblings, as this was something he struggled with. But he goes in every morning and comes home every afternoon beaming with smiles!
