Funding & Fees
No funding - £442.75 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
15 Hour Funding - £364.95 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
30 Hour Funding - £287.21 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
Early Club 7.30am – 8 am is £5 per session, bookable through the nursery.
We accept the 9-month, 2, 3 and 4 year old funding,
We annualise our fee’s and all fees above include all optional extras. Full details can be provided.
We are approved providers of Bath and North East Somerset County Council’s Government Early Year’s Funding grant for 9 month +, 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the school term after they are 9 months of age for working parents and from 3 years for all children. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age.
Minimum requirement of two full days per week.
We are approved providers of the Government Early Year’s funding. Visit the Childcare Choices website for more information on funding and fee support – and to apply for your funding code. This funding does not cover certain sundries, activities, visits and hot meals so if a child is using the funding a daily charge will be payable.

The manager from looking around the nursery to my son starting has been so knowledgeable and reassuring every step of the way. The staff are excellent with updating me on how my son has been ect.

My son started this nursery when it opened and has so far had the best time! There were tears the first few times I dropped him off but now he smiles when the door is opened and can’t wait to go inside. The staff are very caring and easy to talk to, they are professional but lots of fun as well. I have great confidence in the manager who is approachable and friendly. The variety of activities is amazing. I was attracted to this nursery because of the space, my son can run about, explore, and play, and is always learning something new. It’s quiet, away from roads, and feels overall really safe.

She has really come out of her shell since going to Avon Valley and comes home and tells us what she has been doing that day about her “teachers” and her friends.
The room she is in is big and has lots of activities, the food choice is brilliant and the children are involved in helping with the prep of snacks, so far we have had apple cake and crumble brought home to us.
My daughter has only been there for 11 months as she starts school next year (September 24) but it will be the best 11 months.

All the staff take the time and make the effort to get to know and build that relationship with the children individually and also the parents. Nothing is ever too much of a hassle and they are always willing to stop and answer any questions/explain to you how your child has done that day, even though they are busy. All staff make you feel at ease and welcome and that takes any worry away from leaving your child in a nursery setting, even on the days when my daughter has got upset going in, I truly feel comfortable and happy that she will be comforted and looked after.
The location, setting and site of the nursery is exceptional and the activities carried out on a daily basis are amazing. I haven’t seen or heard of a nursery doing so much for and with children on a daily basis to help them develop and have fun. I have already seen massive steps with my daughter in only 3 weeks!

As it is a new nursery, it’s been lovely how the children have all been part of the exciting opening. They have all brand new resources and each day is new as well as they follow what the children are interested in, very child-led.
I’ve not even mentioned the fact they get to use the animal and play park on-site! I love how they get to see a reindeer, meerkats, and bunnies each time and to the pumpkin patch! They also get to play in the sand pit and indoor soft play.
The staff seem to genuinely enjoy their job and all appear very coherent and knowledgeable. They have taken the time to get to know my daughter as an individual. I love hearing the personal stories and she is being her true self.
The photos and weekly email they send each day/week is brilliant as you can see the many fun activities they do, such as cooking.

The staff are kind, compassionate and attentive - the manager, in particular, put my mind at ease and was able to answer all of my questions and continues to support myself and my son, she has been amazing, very knowledgable and my son loves her and his keyworker.
It's been a massive success in transitioning him being away from me and his siblings, as this was something he struggled with. But he goes in every morning and comes home every afternoon beaming with smiles!

Meet the Team (11)
Emma has been working in Early Years since the 2000s.
She brings a wealth of experience and dedication to supporting children's development
Becky is a Level 3 qualified Practitioner, currently studying her Level 5 Early Years Management course. She enjoys the outdoors and charity shopping as well as cooking.
We asked Becky, Why do you like working with children? "I really enjoy all the funny things children say and seeing them develop"
Stephanie joined Avon Valley Nursery as our Baby Room Lead and has progressed to a Deputy Manager.
Suzanne has been working in Early Years for over 10 years. Before starting her journey in Early Years, Suzanne was a secondary school teacher, bringing a range of knowledge and experience to our team.
Aron is our Nursery SENCO and Preschool Room Lead
He joined Avon Valley Nursery & Pre-School as our baby room practitioner. Aron took an interest in SEN and further developed it by completing his SENCo Level 3 Award. Aron is also the Preschool Room Lead.
Aron works closely with all rooms to support children with any SEN.
He also helps support rooms with leading for the day if required.
Hannah has developed from practitioner to Baby Room Lead.
Steph joined us at Avon Valley and joined us as an Early Years Practitioner. Steph has progressed to Baby Room Lead, stepping up while Hannah is on Maternity Leave.
Scott is our forest school lead at Avon Valley Nursery & Pre-School, he creates wonderful activities and ideas for himself or the other practitioners to do with the children. Scott had many years of Forest School knowledge and loves being outdoors. He has a lot of land to use here at Avon Valley for him and the children to explore.
Casey looks after the 2-year-olds and manages a team.
Emily supports Casey in her role of pre-school room lead by leading on the days that Casey is off.
Charlotte has recently qualified as a Level 3 practitioner, Well Done on all the hard work.
Charlotte enjoys travelling and visiting new places.
When asked what she loves about working with children? she replied "I enjoy forming bonds, finding out all about the child and watching them develop"
