Southridge Kids Planet has been absolutely outstanding in the care of my little girl. Making her feel so welcome and her progression and social skills have really come on since going. She's always coming back having made things, drawing pictures, and loads of other activities. They are great for keeping
you updated on the day-to-day activities. I highly recommend it here as we have had nothing but a great experience.

The staff at Southridge have always been amazing with my three children. Whilst my elder two have now moved to another school, my youngest still attends breakfast and after-school club with all the members of staff there.
They have always been so accommodating and show the children so much love and
care.
My daughter absolutely loves the staff and it's always so lovely to see her happy in their care.
When it comes to communication, the girls are fabulous at keeping you informed especially when using the holiday club facilities. There are always lots of lovely, exciting activities each day, and again, you're always kept in the loop on what's on offer.
The managers are fantastic and are always at hand for any queries you may have and contact you very swiftly.
Couldn't recommend enough.

My son enjoys going to wraparound, they constantly have different activities to engage him. He loves the staff and runs in every day with a smile. The staff are very approachable and always happy to help with any queries.

A great wrap-around centre for our 3 children. The children always skip into the Kids Planet in the morning and it is a struggle to get them to leave. Managers are great and respond very promptly to any questions and concerns.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the children all seem happy in their care. Pick-ups are always smooth and seamless.
Though we are updated via the app there isn't anywhere to explain the 'range' or 'grading' of lots of different subjects within the learning side of play and crafts. Always
brings home lots of artwork. Overall, extremely happy with the care and nurturing of my child, never had any issues.

Excellent staff that really takes time to get to know the children. I feel happy leaving my daughter at Kids Planet which enables me to focus at work without worrying about my daughter which is a testament to the staff. They offer varied activities and my daughter loves her three afternoons at Kids

My grandson began wraparound care aged 3 years and 1 week. At first, he was apprehensive going in but the care and patience of the staff ensured that after that as soon as the gates opened he was first in and ran ahead of me. The staff are wonderful, caring, professional and doing everything to ensure
the children are safe, happy, cared for and there are lots of different and interesting activities for the children.

My son has been at Kids Planet Southridge playgroup and Wraparound since he was two and has very much enjoyed his time with them.
There are members have staff that have been with him from the early days and the feeling that he is happy and content in their care definitely filters through. He talks
very fondly of the staff in particular who is the setting manager. If I have any concerns the manager has always been able to address them quickly and comfortably. Their communication is excellent.

After moving our 3-year-old daughter from another private nursery to wrap-around we have realised how much better an experience nursery can be for our daughter. She has excelled since joining and looks forward to going into nursery each day. All of the staff knew our daughter, her preferences and challenges
within a few days and all questions and information is noted and acted upon quickly. Children appear always supported and treated fairly. The team also set clear boundaries and expectations as to behaviour and values from the children.

My daughter first attended another nursery and transitioned to the wraparound and Children's Choice Southridge. She has come on leaps and bounds and loves all of the staff. They complete many activities, making each day exciting. Definitely recommend!

We couldn't be happier with the care our children have received at Children's Choice Southridge Day Nursery over the past three years. The staff are wonderful and show genuine care and interest in every child.
The staff at playgroup provide children with a warm, welcoming start to their learning journey.
Both of our boys have benefited from the brilliant start they got with the playgroup team and, as parents, we always felt supported too.
Wraparound is a fantastic next step, they work very closely with school which ensured that our child was well prepared for the next step to nursery.
Our children have enjoyed all of the facilities and activities available to them, particularly the outdoor space. Both of our children made great progress at wraparound, particularly in their social skills. Both have made lovely friendships. The manager and the staff couldn't be more helpful and caring, our children love them. Parents are always made to feel part of the community too.

I am one of the managers at Kids Planet Southridge, working Tuesday to Friday.


I have worked in childcare since 2012. I have an Early Years Teacher Status, along with a degree in children and young people. I am first aid trained and safeguarding trained, supporting my role as designated safeguarding lead.


I chose a career in childcare because it is very rewarding, helping children develop and learn new things.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on adventures such as camping, paddleboarding and heading to national trust locations.

About me:
I have worked in childcare since 2008. I have a BTEC Level 3 childcare qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development. I have many extra training and qualifications including first aid, SEND and safeguarding qualifications.


I chose a career in childcare because I love to see children grow through their early years of life and express themself through play. I love watching the children here at Southridge grow and develop through the years with us from nursery to our after school club.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on family adventures in our caravan with my three daughters. My favourite place to go is up the Northumberland coast.
