We recently relocated to the area with our 2-year-old and Kids Planet Southridge have been amazing at caring for and settling in our son. From the moment I enquired about the setting, they have been great at communicating, accommodating visits & settling in sessions. Their daily updates are informative
and reassuring, always personalised to our child which is lovely to hear at the end of the day. I love that they make an effort to take the children out into the local area and also use the wider outdoor space at the school location. As a result of their hard work and expertise, our son has settled in quickly and enjoys going to his sessions. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son has settled in really well at the nursery, and that's all thanks to the amazing staff. The frequent updates on the app make me feel comfortable knowing what fun he's been up to. He comes home happy every day and is always excited to go back!

This is our 4th week and the little ones are loving it. It took one of my kids a bit longer to settle but the staff were so lovely and patient with him. You can tell that the staff genuinely enjoy being with the children which is a comfort when leaving your child (especially an upset one). They seem
to have a really well rounded day with lots of activities and fresh air with a nice, balanced lunch menu too.

Brilliant care for my son.
They have made him feel very welcome and settled.
We received a lovely welcome pack which was a nice touch.
I love the fact they update the app so you can see what they've been up to through the day.

The staff at Kids Planet have been great at helping my daughter settle in at nursery. She was really upset at first and started enjoying it in a short space of time. Overall, I am very happy with how the staff have helped my little boy settle into nursery for the first time. The communications from the managers are frequent and formative. The activities that the nursery provides are excellent. My son has particularly enjoyed the visits from the local fire station.
The nursery always allows the children to play outside, which my child loves. I would highly recommend.

My daughter has been going to Kids Planet at southridge since she was 2 years old , she is now 5. With her being so young when she first started going I was very nervous about leaving her however from the very beginning the staff made me feel at ease . I would highly recommend Kids Planet at Southridge First School. My daughter loved every day she went in; there was an excellent variety of activities and days out for the children to experience and learn from. The staff are all very welcoming and approachable, and have a great rapport with the children.
My daughter was always happy to go at the start of the day and didn't want to leave when I came to collect her!

Both of our girls go to Kids Planet, Southridge and we are so impressed with it. We have a great relationship with the management team who take the time to get to know you as a family. They are very accommodating and the girls always enjoy themselves. We have complete trust in the team to take good
care of our two girls and would recommend it to other parents. Their recent Ofsted Outstanding result is well deserved for the Manager and the team.

I'm very happy to recommend Kids Planet Southridge as they have been incredible in the care and support they've shown my son. The range of activities they arrange is exceptional, and I feel that each member of staff knows my son's character, and they are patient and caring. He is so happy to attend
every day and has made lots of friends. He often talks to me about the staff, and it's always extremely positive!

My daughter enjoys going each day to Kids Planet. She enjoys the fun activities, and engaging learning environment. We feel this has helped her grow in confidence, social skills, and early academics. My child was at another nursery and used to cry every morning going in so we moved her to Kids Planet Southridge. She now runs in every day with her friends and asks to go to nursery on the days when she's not in. All the staff are lovely and approachable. The amount of outdoor activities they do is
amazing eg go to the park, the woods and the beach. I would highly recommend Kids Planet Southridge to anyone

My daughter absolutely loves going to Kids Planet. The staff are so kind, patient, and genuinely care about the kids Every day, she comes home excited to tell me about the fun activities, songs, and new things she's learned.
I've noticed such a big change in her social skills since she started, and
I'm so grateful for the amazing team, the communication is great too-they always keep us updated and involved.

Kids planet at Southridge has brought out the best in both my girls, the staff are friendly, helpful, supportive, and they provide excellent care. Also, any other queries you have about extra sessions or payments are answered quickly and efficiently and staff are always accommodating to individual parents.

My son enjoys his time at Kids Planet, even now he has started school, he loves to attend the wraparound on a weekly basis.

All of the staff are absolutely fantastic and my daughter has such a lovely time and is always excited to attend. She comes home with stories of the fun she's had with various staff members and they are always going out on walks or engaging in fun indoor activities.

I have had wonderful experiences with both my children attending Kids Planet. They both love it so much they never want to leave when it's home time. The team are amazing and genuinely care about the children. They have kept me well informed about their development. They have lovely activities and trips

Our son thoroughly enjoyed his time at playgroup and made so much progress with his milestones thanks to the support of the fantastic staff who he felt safe and happy with. At pickup, he was always smiling and often wanted to stay longer than the 3-hour session! We were regularly updated on his progress
through the app and at drop-off and pick up which was really helpful. The playgroup is set up with lots of different activity areas and outside space. Our son has recently moved up to wraparound and has transitioned across so well which we are really pleased about and can't thank the staff enough for preparing him for moving over so that he has settled in so quickly.

I am one of the managers at Kids Planet Southridge, working Tuesday to Friday.


I have worked in childcare since 2012. I have an Early Years Teacher Status, along with a degree in children and young people. I am first aid trained and safeguarding trained, supporting my role as designated safeguarding lead.


I chose a career in childcare because it is very rewarding, helping children develop and learn new things.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on adventures such as camping, paddleboarding and heading to national trust locations.

About me:
I have worked in childcare since 2008. I have a BTEC Level 3 childcare qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development. I have many extra training and qualifications including first aid, SEND and safeguarding qualifications.


I chose a career in childcare because I love to see children grow through their early years of life and express themself through play. I love watching the children here at Southridge grow and develop through the years with us from nursery to our after school club.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on family adventures in our caravan with my three daughters. My favourite place to go is up the Northumberland coast.
