They really care about their children and throughout external pressures, they have remained totally focused on what’s best for the children.
The staff are interested in the child's development and know each child and their needs extremely well. As a parent of one cautious introvert and one exuberant extrovert, it's been a joy to see the team support each child with their own learning needs. Varied activities which are predominantly nature-based have been fab (I even learned a little something about the life cycle of frogs).
Finally, the management is wonderful, clear communication, knows the families extremely well and obviously loves early years development!

Meet the Team (8)
I have been in childcare for 23 years and became Manager of Pumpkin Patch in June 2016. I am currently working towards a PDA Childhood Practice.
I am extremely close with my family and enjoy spending most weekends with them. I am very lucky to have a beautiful beach on my doorstep and can spend lots of time walking and taking advantage of this.
I have a strong passion for early years and early childcare education. I have worked with childcare since I was 14 recently returning to nursery life after a year out in an office base role within this sector.
In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks, exploring East Lothian and learning to bake lots of treats.
I am currently working towards an SVQ Level 3 in childcare and spend most of my days in our Puffin Room working with children between the ages of 2 - 3.
I was born in Scotland but spent most of my childhood in the Middle East.
I have a keen interest in astrology (I am a Sagittarius), horse riding, reading and the theatre.
I really want to travel more once I complete my qualification.
I am a Fully qualified Practitioner, spending my time in our Puffin room with children ages 2-3. I am currently leading the room while our supervisor is on maternity leave.
When I am not in Pumpkin Patch, I spend my time with my family and friends. I enjoy eating out and am fond of the odd holiday. I have 2 pet cats named Rosie and Robbie.
I started working in childcare after a long stint in hospitality. I am a fully qualified practitioner working with our pre-school children aged 3-5.
I really enjoy cooking and baking and regularly do this with the children. In my spare time, you will find me swimming in the sea and spending time at the beach
I am a fully qualified Practitioner as of 2023. I spend most of my time in our Puffin room with children ages 2-3.
Most of my time spent outside work is with my nose in a book which I am aware makes me sound incredibly boring but I enjoy it. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new places.
Last year I explored a few places on the list Vienna, Porto and many more.
I have recently relocated to my home town of Edinburgh with my husband after living overseas for many years.
In the nursery, you will find me helping prepare the children's lunches and general housekeeping in all our rooms.
I enjoy cooking and love to explore new recipes and ideas that I sometimes get from the Food Network on TV.
My weekends are my time to connect with my friends and chat with my family, I have twin boys and 4 grandchildren.
I am currently working towards my SVQ level 3 in childcare and spend all my time in our baby room. Working and helping children grow has been my dream job since I was young.
In my spare time, I like going on walks with my 4 dogs and enjoy birdwatching - I love all animals.
In my spare time, I go sidecar racing with my family and going on my bike.
