Outdoor learning and exploration are a key part of the experience at Flower Pots Tring. The large garden behind the main building features climbing equipment for children aged 3 and above, a dedicated forest area complete with a mud kitchen, digging zones, and a vegetable patch to encourage hands-on learning and connection with nature. At the front of the building, a peaceful nature garden offers additional opportunities for sensory play and outdoor discovery.

Our daughter has been at the nursery since it opened last September when she was one. We have been so impressed with the genuine care and love shown to the children. There is a real homely warmth right across the nursery. The management are brilliant and really set the tone for the whole team. Plus the children spend a lot of time outside every day, regardless of the weather, which was important to us. The food and the activities are brilliant too, just reading the menu makes me so hungry!

I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am also our setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. Hello, my name is Nikita, and I am one of the Co-Managers at Flower Pots Tring. I have been with the Tring branch since it opened in September 2022, starting as a Room Leader, and have enjoyed the opportunity to develop my knowledge and experience within the nursery.
I have worked with children for ten years, gaining extensive experience across various age groups. During this time, I earned my Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in childcare and became a Designated Safeguarding Lead. I am a mother to a four-year-old little boy who starts school this September. I also appreciate the parental perspective of childcare, which I believe is incredibly important.
Throughout my career, my favourite part of working in childcare has been watching children flourish. Being part of milestones such as first steps, first words, and other “first” experiences is truly special.
