Our daughter has had a fantastic experience at Canopy. Right from the first settling in session, the team in the Hazel room were absolutely brilliant and really helped her to settle in and grow in confidence. There are plenty of extra curricular activities on offer over the two days, and we are kept up to date on her progress through the App. The only reason we are leaving is because we have been offered a place at a nursery a 2 min walk from our house, saving us a 20 min drive each way in traffic. If we could pick up Canopy and put it next to our house we would! Thanks again to all of the team!

My child settled really well into the nursery. She was young when she started so I was of course, apprehensive about how she would settl but she seemed to form attachment with staff very quickly. Staff were able to support her in so many ways and I have seen her develop so much since she has been there. She has learnt so many new skills that I have seen her displaying at home. I love the app as it is an excellent way to keep in communication and love seeing what she is doing during the day.

Since my son has started at Canopy, I've seen such a wonderful improvement in his development. He's grown in confidence, learned so many new skills, and it's clear he's thriving in the environment they provide. Most importantly, he absolutely loves going to nursery each day!
As a parent, I feel completely at ease leaving him in their care. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's wellbeing. Communication is also excellent - they always keep us informed about his progress and daily activities, which helps us feel involved and reassured. It also allows us to talk about his time at nursery at home, which excites him.

I'm so grateful for the positive impact Canopy has had on my son!

My Granddaughter started at Canopy, St.Albans in February 2025 in the baby room having just turned a year old. From registration to her starting the staff were very professional, friendly and supportive to us as a family. She then moved into "pre toddlers" towards the end of 2025 where she has become more confident and able in many different areas of her development. The staff have been incredibly supportive to us as a family and to our granddaughter, providing us with many lovely observations and activity updates of her time at nursery. The nursery app is a great addition to be able to see what she has eaten in a day and to track any naps she has.
My granddaughter has developed lovely relationships with the staff in her room and in particular with her key worker.

Thank you to you all!

I am extremely happy with the way Canopy Children's Nursery St. Albans have helped my son start nursery and my eldest one settling to a new one. All staff are supportive, welcoming and approachable. I have noticed huge improvements in my eldest son development during his time here (social skills, language and behaviour). The parent app updates help us understand his daily progress and allows comprehensive communication between carrers and nursery.
My little one just started nursery and he loves it. The facilities are amaizing, the activities and food complement all the hard work being put into making our children to fell safe and happy.

Thank you so much!

My son attended Canopy from the age of 1 in the baby room, through to graduation from the preschool room this year, and I can honestly say it is one of his favourite places to be! I can't thank the team enough for their care, love and attention shown to him in such a lovely environment. Upon leaving Canopy it was a sad day all round but as with all things in life, we have to move onto the next stage...the foundations set and educational activities he was able to partake in more recently has set him up well for his transition to school.
He has grown in confidence, and I love that he has been exposed to things such as yoga and Spanish from a young age.

Having a number of allergies & medical requirements was a challenge for us as parents, but we felt very comfortable with the extra precautions and care plans put in place to ensure our son was kept safe at all times. The team went over and above to ensure he had exciting alternative food options provided. Thank you, we will miss you!

Canopy has been a great place for our son. He has learnt and made so much progress in the short few months he has been there. The staff are friendly and there is great communication both from staff and management. The App they use has also made payments easy, as well as allowing us to be informed of the day to day important activities our son is up to. Plus, it is super easy to recieve and read reports and observations. We receive regular observations about our son's progress and larger end of term reports too. Very comprehensive. He also has the opportunity to enage with outside providers such as Tappy Toes dancing and Spanish lessons. We enjoy the weekly newsletter, and taking part in the non compulsory enrichment activities they set. We as parents, are confident that the setting provides opportunities for children to engage with and meet the EYFS curriculum. We would recommend Canopy!

My son joined Canopy in April 2025 and the nursery has helped my transition back to work smoother than I could have imagined. The staff made me (and him!) feel comfortable from day one and have been helpful with big milestones he's has had since joining (nap transitions, using cutlery etc.) He sleeps and eats really well (the food is so much better than other nurseries around), is always happy when I pick him up and his vocab has come on so much in the last few months. I couldn't recommend Canopy enough, the staff in Hazel room are so lovely and his key worker has been brilliant and super supportive!

My son joined Canopy Nursery in April this year and has been thriving ever since. I feel his learning and communication skills have come on leaps and bounds along with his confidence. Every member of staff that I have had interaction with has been so friendly and always has my son's best interest at heart. This includes the owners of the nursery and the management staff who have introduced themselves to me. You can really see how much they care about all the children's feelings! Every day when I collect him whichever member of staff brings him out gives us the lowdown on his day which is lovely to hear what he's been doing and enjoyed. The nursery is extremely clean, with a lovely outside area and indoor. I was really worrying about sending my son to a nursery at the age of one but I definitely made the right decision with Canopy Nursery in Bricket Wood so thank you for making the transition of starting nursery seamless in our household!

Avoid this nursery setting if your child is SEN. Although they list themselves as inclusive, the nursery setting really struggled with our three year old with very little basis as to exactly what they were struggling with apart from being unable to meet his needs in comparison to other children.
The local authority had put in place a number of strategies for the setting to follow, which were not followed through in full, funding applications were delayed and there was a complete fabrication on accidents and incidents. Their communication is beyond poor and they were not acting in the best interest of our child.
Ultimately they washed their hands of him when they were unable to meet his needs, obtain appropriate funding, and lacked sufficient training for neurodivergent children.

Management in particular the directors - aren't nice to deal with, they are difficult and don't understand SEN children or the SEN Code of practice. When questioned they were very quick to remove our child.

I removed my child from this nursery earlier this year as I completely lost confidence and trust in them to care for my child.
When dealing with the final incident that led to us removing our child, communication from management was extremely poor. There was a lack of transparency about how the incident occurred until we persisted to try and understand the detail. Even then we were still unclear on how it could have happened under appropriate supervision.
The frequency of Staff turnover was a red flag and ultimately, detrimental to our child, who rarely had more than a few months with key workers/room staff before there were changes, which is extremely difficult for children of such a young age.

We were initially happy, our child had a fantastic key worker for the first 9 months and then she left, after which, updates regarding my child became so infrequent that felt I had lost touch with their development there. I would not recommend Canopy to other parents.

My son has attended Canopy Children's Nursery for the last 4 months. I was really nervous about him attending any form of childcare but once meeting the staff and seeing the set up inside I was put at ease. The staff made us feel so welcome on the induction and took a real interest in my child - his wellbeing, likes and dislikes and things I would personally like to see him learn and play at nursery. Since attending Canopy, my son has come on leaps and bounds in his development and interacts with children better than he did before, has learned new skills and majorly improved with his communication. We receive regular observations with photos to see exactly what he's been up to. The app works great to communicate with staff and know what he is eating, sleeping and his nappy changes throughout the day. I couldn't recommend Canopy enough and I'm so happy my son has joined.

My 3 and 1-year-old go to canopy nursery and I genuinely have nothing bad to say. They both settled there extremely quickly and my 3-year-old is upset on the weekends when we tell her we aren’t going to nursery today! The staff are very friendly, caring, and professional and I know my children are in safe hands. The food is great and there are lots of great activities for the children. I see my son as a bad sleeper but they have been great at dealing with this and haven’t said any negative comments. I would highly recommend Canopy! It’s also very modern and clean. There’s a lovely big garden too! If my children ever hurt themselves they call straight away and my children are very well looked after!

Our son has been very happy at Canopy and loves participating in the yoga and forest school sessions. We love the preschool room leader and she makes lots of effort to keep us updated on progress and tips on things we can do at home to compliment what they are learning in class. He has made some lovely friends and talks happily about all the things he has done during the day. We have found them really flexible when we have needed extra days for any reason and have been very impressed with the quality of the food and equipment at the setting.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Canopy Nursery. From the moment we visited, it had such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are nurturing and genuinely care about each child’s well-being and development. Our son has thrived here since June 2023 and has built so much confidence and made lovely friends.
The facilities are great and our son absolutely loves being outdoors. The activities are engaging and encourage our son to learn in innovative ways. Communication with the staff is excellent and we love receiving our updates on the app. There is such a variety of food and it’s great to see him eat foods that he has not tried at home.

Overall, Canopy has exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend it to any parent for their children.

We recently moved into the area with our 3-year-old and 1-year-old daughters. We had to change nurseries for my 3-year-old due to the move and choosing this nursery was the best decision we made! She asks us every morning if we are going to nursery and gets ready very quickly which she hasn’t done before! Their 121 interaction with her is amazing and she feels very secure and loved here, and we have seen a massive improvement in her behaviour and conversations! This is the first nursery my youngest has been to and she also loves it! We are very pleased with how welcoming and kind the staff at this nursery are and would recommend it to anyone!

My daughter has been at Canopy Nursery for nearly 3 months and absolutely loves it! She has learned so much since joining and gets so excited before we drop her off. She has some medical conditions and needs specially prepared food and assistance with eating and drinking. I was worried about how a nursery would manage but the staff at Canopy have been excellent and managed all her needs so I know she is in the best hands.
Canopy sends out regular updates on an app and adorable photos as well as weekly observations. She has started talking loads since going and always surprises me with new words and gestures she’s learned at nursery.

The nursery is also so clean compared to others I’ve seen, the staff are all so friendly and my daughter gets very excited to see them. The food menu always looks so delicious, I just wish I could take home leftovers for myself!
