Blossoms Day Nursery is a purpose-built setting, based within the village of Burn, providing childcare for children aged 0-5 years old.

The nursery operates from four rooms; a baby room, an infant room, a toddler room and a pre-school room. Each room consists of pathways for children to browse their environment at their own leisure. Rooms are carefully designed to ensure that when a child is browsing their environment, they are still learning within every area of the room.

The nursery adopt the Reggio Emilia approach in their practice. The Reggio Emilia belief is that all children are capable, creative and intelligent. At Blossoms, practitioners work with the child as an active collaborator, both adult and child learning together. They encourage children to investigate and explore their own questions, theories and ideas about what is happening in the world around them. They support their investigations into these questions through creativity, allowing children to lead and develop their own pieces of work.

Blossoms Day Nursery promote learning outdoors as it develops the children’s relationship with nature, and also include resources that are as natural as possible for learning whilst indoors. The children are supported in their creative ideas, and they believe no idea is wrong. Staff study and learn from the children and extend their ideas to see where it leads.

This nursery is an amazing place! Very clean with great staff and very welcoming. My toddler has been going here for 8 months and I couldn’t ask for a better daycare.
There are always some great arty activities organised and developing a variety of skills and creativity.
All our comments are always
being taken on board, making us feel better when leaving our little one with you.

We absolutely love Blossoms, as does our daughter. We knew this was the right choice from day one - such a warm caring and supportive environment for the little ones and we really appreciate the neutral decor so there isn’t too much visual ‘noise’ going on.
Always such a great variety of activities
and exciting things to discover, our daughter is always so happy to be there. The app is fantastic, meaning we can keep check of how her day is going. The food they serve is varied and interesting.
Last but not least - the staff are all absolutely amazing. So approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy and caring. Thank you for all you do!

Our little boy started at Blossoms last year and he has settled so well, he absolutely loves going to the nursery and has made so many good relationships with both other children and staff members. He has now moved up to the next room but when he was in the baby room he adored the senior of the room
who was also his key worker and still does! She was brilliant with him, ensuring she did everything she could to mirror our home routine and create that bond to ensure he felt safe and secure in his new environment. She’s truly a credit to Blossoms.
We’re also very happy with our little boy's progress in the infant room, he has a great bond with his key worker there and his confidence and development are growing constantly. Thank you to Blossoms!

I viewed a handful of nurseries for my daughter as she’s my first baby and I wanted to get it right this was really important for me and new parents will understand this feeling.
The moment I walked through the doors for my show around I felt welcomed and all staff was friendly, I did take my daughter
with me and she was really happy throughout. When I looked at the other rooms I was able to leave my daughter in babies room when I came back she was interacting with the staff and other children and I just knew in my gut this was the best place for her.
If any parents are contemplating viewing this nursery or starting in general honestly go for it! The staff every day without fail update the app so you know what your child is doing and eating.
My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting she loves all the staff there.
Thanks to everyone at the Burn site for playing a massive part in my daughter's life, it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Our boys moved to Blossoms when the setting opened. The setting has helped our family so much with development and targets for the boys. The staff are extremely caring and friendly. The setting itself is wonderful and spacious. This was the best move we made. I really have no negative comments to make.
The app they use is also great for seeing what they have been getting up to through the day.

Feel completely at ease leaving my 18-month-old boy with the Blossoms team. He is always happy when I leave and equally happy when I return. The girls in the room love him and he clearly loves his time with them too.

My son has been going to Blossoms Day Nursery for 4 months and he took a while to settle, but the staff were so patient with him (and me!). He had lots of one on one time and now he really enjoys going. I love the facilities and toys, everything is clean and open and they use plenty of natural resources.
It's quite a calm environment compared to most nurseries. The staff and management are all really friendly too.

Both of my children have been attending Blossoms for a few months now and I cannot recommend them enough. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable and have created a very welcoming environment. The rooms are modern and furnished in lovely neutral tones, so not over-stimulating. The app is great
and we enjoy receiving updates from the day. My children are vegetarian and eat a variety of healthy and nutritious meals. The nursery have regular events and activities for the kids to enjoy throughout the year, so there is always something different to get excited about. I couldn't imagine sending my children anywhere else and I'm confident that they will leave Blossoms with the key skills they need when they start school.

The girls have all been fantastic with helping my little girl settle in. It was hard as she was a lockdown baby and this is the first experience of child care outside the home.

Incredible nursery. My daughter absolutely loves it here. The staff are so lovely and supportive to both me and my daughter. They update the app so I can check throughout the day on how she is doing, she's always having heaps of fun with different activities. Eating a varied diet and exploring sensory
development. I highly recommend this nursery. The resources my child has access to are five stars. Since joining this nursery she has had improvements in both gross and fine motor skills.

Such a wonderful nursery full of amazing staff. My son loves attending Blossoms Day Nursery - Field View, the staff are always attentive to him and the regular updates through the app during the day are excellent. A range of activities are provided each day and they really go over and above for the
children. I really enjoy being able to go into the nursery room and see him interact with the staff and other children. The facilities are excellent, they provide a range of meals and I am well informed of any events going on.

We moved to the Blossoms Day Nursery in Burn when it opened, due to the location suiting us better. We absolutely love Blossoms, our little boy has come on so much in the infant room. The staff are all brilliant and friendly, and every day we get updates in the app of exciting activities he gets up
to.
A beautiful, friendly nursery and I would recommend it to everyone!

Blossoms Day Nursery in Burn is one of the best nurseries we have used.
Earlier in the year, we were left on short notice without childcare and the team at Blossoms could not do enough for us. They worked with us to clear our childcare funding balance accrued even though the Burn setting was not set
up to accept this type of funding and we got our little one booked in.
The preschool staff were very welcoming and made our little one feel right at home. We have even seen a massive improvement in his development versus his old nursery and always comes home excited to tell us about his day.
We truly can not fault the team they have done an amazing job and we would recommend Blossoms in Burn to anyone looking for a new nursery in the area.

We put our sons down on the waiting list as soon as we saw a nursery was been built as it was conveniently placed for work. We are so pleased we did. As a family, we can not fault Blossoms. My baby boy absolutely loves his days at nursery. He has formed some fantastic relationships with all of the staff.
We can not wait to see how develops with the support of the staff and stimulating environment.

My daughter started at Blossoms Day Nursery after the manager kindly fitted us in for a start date in a rush, due to leaving her old nursery and receiving the free hours.
All staff have been brilliant with her and she comes back very happy each day.
The nursery is very spacious with a fantastic outdoor
area which has views of horses in the fields which the children love.
The activities and food the children receive are fantastic. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

Really lovely nursery with great caring staff and a beautiful environment. The toys are really high quality in the infant room where my son goes and they also run lots of different activities each week based on seasons or other moments in the calendar. My son always plays outside when at nursery too
with stimulating activities. I love the app used by the nursery- you get real-time updates and pictures documenting the day, activities, food, sleep and nappies. My son is vegetarian and they always have a great menu for him which is always changing.
The staff are friendly and caring and I love sending my son there.

I started my career while studying at university and working as a Nursery Practitioner. I then progressed to being an EYFS Manager for a chain of nurseries once graduating with my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and completing my EYPS at Level 6.


I have a real passion for providing outstanding quality childcare and believe the most important years in a child's life for development are in the early years. Creating an environment where the vision of 'Quality is our Reality' is at the heart of both our nurseries.

After leaving school I went on to complete my Level 3 Childcare where I worked in this industry for a couple of years. A change in career led me down the HR route and I found a real passion for training and development.


Ten years on and after having my own child I was offered a job in HR for a group of nurseries and this combined re-ignited my passion for working with children.


One of our beliefs at Blossoms is, you can’t provide quality care if your employees don't receive quality training.

I started at Blossoms, when the first nursery opened, back in June 2018 and feel my passion for early years has grown even further during my time here. I love working with such an ambitious and dedicated team, providing high-quality and challenging learning experiences for children to ‘flourish’.
