Blossoms Day Nursery is a purpose-built setting, based within the village of Burn, providing childcare for children aged 0-5 years old.

The nursery operates from four rooms; a baby room, an infant room, a toddler room and a pre-school room. Each room consists of pathways for children to browse their environment at their own leisure. Rooms are carefully designed to ensure that when a child is browsing their environment, they are still learning within every area of the room.

The nursery adopt the Reggio Emilia approach in their practice. The Reggio Emilia belief is that all children are capable, creative and intelligent. At Blossoms, practitioners work with the child as an active collaborator, both adult and child learning together. They encourage children to investigate and explore their own questions, theories and ideas about what is happening in the world around them. They support their investigations into these questions through creativity, allowing children to lead and develop their own pieces of work.

Blossoms Day Nursery promote learning outdoors as it develops the children’s relationship with nature, and also include resources that are as natural as possible for learning whilst indoors. The children are supported in their creative ideas, and they believe no idea is wrong. Staff study and learn from the children and extend their ideas to see where it leads.

Blossoms is a great nursery. Since our daughter joined in spring we have had no complaints. The bonds she has made with her key workers has been brilliant. The updates through the apps are always thorough and detailed.

Blossoms is great, always providing a great service for my daughter and she clearly has the best time there!
Lots of friends who's children go to other nurseries say that their nursery doesn't update the app often, BLOSSOMS DOES! I always know hwe her day is going with regular updates throughout the
day!

We send both our son and daughter to blossoms and have done for a number of years. We recommend this to all family and friends, the communication is excellent as is there care. We never have any issues and our children genuinely love attending.

My son loves it here. He always has a great day, lots of different activities and he loves the staff. He has food allergies which have been catered for perfectly the whole time he's attended Blossoms. Fantastic nursery.

My son has been at blossoms for almost 2 years and we're really happy he's there. Our daughter will be starting in September too.
The baby room is warm and welcoming, whilst offering parents and children lots of support during a really big change.
As they progress to other rooms they make sure they
have a wide range of activities which seem carefully thought out for development, as well as engaged the children with current events (e.g. ocean week).
The nursery have also built a lovely community which makes parents feel involved. This year they've organised mothers and Father's Day stay and play sessions which have been lovely.
Finally, whenever we've had any concerns or wanted support with our child's development (e.g. potty training, speech), they've been super supportive, responding to queries really quickly, and always offering face to face meetings, even if it's just to offer us some reassurance. We'd definitely recommend blossoms!

Blossoms Day Nursery at Burn I find to be excellent in all departments. They have friendly staff who my children feel comfortable around.

Blossoms nursery is amazing my little girl has been going since she turned one. And has come on leaps and bounds in the last year. She is a very forward outgoing confident little girl and the nursery do an amazing job of managing her energy. The daily communication through the app is also really helpful.
It helps to understand what she has been up to but also catch things if something doesn't seem right. You can contact the room on the app for any questions in the day again a really good tool. On collection feedback from the room of what she has been up to helps encourage conversation in the car on our way. She looks forward to going every morning she attends.

My baby started at Blossoms nursery just before his first birthday, and since then his confidence around others, including extended family, has grown immensely. He has truly flourished in their caring environment. The staff are friendly, supportive, and always willing to help. His recent transition
to the next room was smooth, thanks to well-planned settling-in sessions. The countryside setting provides a calm and beautiful space for outdoor play, and the children are offered a great variety of meals and snacks throughout the day.He really gets stuck into the activities and seems to thoroughly enjoy exploring everything available in the room. I couldn't ask for a better nursery for him to be part of.

All three of my children have or do attend Blossoms, as such I have experienced every room in Blossoms and they are all wonderful!!
From dropping off your baby for the first time to seeing your pre-schooler graduate and leave for 'big school' - it feels like every member of staff cares for and values
your child. You are greeted with a smile and all of my children have happily headed into nursery ready for a day of fun. I would not hesitate to recommend Blossoms to anyone.

My Daughter has attended since the nursery first opened in 2022 and now my younger son also attends. I can honestly not say a bad word about this wonderful nursery. The staff are amazing, the setting itself is ideal, the atmosphere is always friendly and safe, the communication is spot on, the security
is great, and most importantly the children always come out having thoroughly enjoyed their days and the progression we see in them since starting is phenomenal. If you are considering asking about a place for your child, please do go for a look around you won't regret it. My child has been at Blossoms in Burn for about two years now, and every day she goes in (and comes out) happy! The staff in every room have been wonderful, supportive & incredibly caring.
Blossoms do a huge range of activities with my child, and I love seeing what they get up to.

An excellent chain of nursery's. Having already had one child go through all the stages it filled me with confidence sending our second child.
Very friendly staff who are easily approachable and happy to talk.
They have activities at the reception for children to take home, this is a great idea for
parents who may struggle with resources or ideas when at home.
Highly recommend nursery.

The most caring staff who take the time to get to know the child on such a personal level and support them in every way possible. Lots of communication between staff and parents which is brilliant to be able to support learning. My children are developing so well which I feel is down to this nursery
and the experiences my children have available with them. Recently my child has struggled with his emotions and I have been able to discuss this openly with staff and get lots of great advice and support to ensure they are supported fully. Amazing nursery.

Our children get the best care here. They've developed great skills moving up through the different rooms. The facilities in the room are excellent and there is a great outdoor space aswell. Very helpful with our daughter's allergies. The staff are amazing and have created great bonds with the children

Blossoms Day Nursery is just amazing. Every single staff member is friendly, chatty and knows both of my children well, including staff not normally in their rooms.
We joined from the very first day they opened and could not imagine sending our children anywhere else.
The facilities are outstanding
and the food is amazing. They really listen to parents' input and suggestions.
There is always something new going on and extra activities that go above and beyond just childcare. for example they recently had a term learning French from a tutor.
Blossoms truly care about children's development. They have supported everything from using cutlery, potty training, learning the alphabet, counting, playing well and so much more.
We love everyone at Blossoms and our boys are excited to go to nursery every day.

I started my career while studying at university and working as a Nursery Practitioner. I then progressed to being an EYFS Manager for a chain of nurseries once graduating with my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and completing my EYPS at Level 6.


I have a real passion for providing outstanding quality childcare and believe the most important years in a child's life for development are in the early years. Creating an environment where the vision of 'Quality is our Reality' is at the heart of both our nurseries.
