Focused on providing high quality childcare and education, Sidcup Day Nursery & Forest School is a 60 place nursery located in a residential area in Sidcup. Close to public transport links and easy to access by car, it's a great setting for local families with busy lives.

In a purpose built setting, the experienced team work hard to offer a homely environment where children feel comfortable to play, explore and learn in a variety of different ways. The area is designed to engage and stimulate children, promoting development at every stage through age appropriate resources and activities.

An onsite chef prepares varied meals and snacks for children each day, focusing on nutrition whilst also providing opportunities to try new foods. Any dietary requirements can be catered for.

The nursery is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am-6:30pm and offers full and part time places for children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

We were very happy with our experience with the baby room. The staff is lovely, the app and daily updates well run and our son loved it!
We could see his learnings every week and he was very happy being dropped off in the mornings.
He attended 4 days a week and the nursery was very accommodating
for swapping days around with enough notice if needed.
We would have liked to be introduced to new staff members as there was a bit of change throughout the last few months.

My daughter recently moved to Tots room after eight months in Baby room. Although she took a little while to settle into the nursery initially after having just been at home with family, the staff were always lovely and reassuring. They always kept us updated on how she was getting on and we never had
any concerns about how well she was being looked after, and once she was settled she loved her time in Baby room. She developed lots of new skills and confidence during her time there. Thank you to all the team!

Our son started in the baby room at Sidcup Day Nursery and we honestly couldn't be happier. Since joining, he has learned so much - from recognising colours and animals to using a few Makaton signs to communicate, which we think is amazing. He has also built lovely relationships with both staff and
peers, which has been so special to see. The staff are fantastic - always welcoming us with energy and warmth at drop-offs and pick ups, and constantly coming up with creative activities that make learning fun. We love the regular photo and video updates; it's such a joy to see him singing, playing, and joining in, while the app updates on meals, naps, and nappies give real peace of mind. The nursery itself is brilliant, with spacious rooms and a great outdoor area, including a sheltered space for the summer. Most importantly, our son has gained so much confidence since starting here and is always happy to go in, which says it all.

My daughter recently completed her time in the baby room at the nursery. The current staff are very attentive and I had no worries about leaving her there full time. I felt reassured that she had enough attention and great care. My daughter had such a wonderful start to her nursery journey thanks to
your care and dedication. I always felt completely at ease knowing she was in such attentive hands.
You always through of a wide range of activities you offered from sensory play and messy activities to music, outdoor time, and creative crafts - it was clear how much thought went into keeping them all engaged and happy. The food was always well thought out and a real verity. You kept me up to date at pick up and I knew she was well looked after.

We could not be more pleased and confident in our decision to send our daughter to Sidcup Day Nursery. The staff work incredibly hard to create a real home from home environment, and they all made incredible bonds with our daughter. The care, support and range of daily activities are all amazing. She
developed hugely in confidence and skills while at the nursery and was always so excited to go in each morning. We could not recommend the nursery more highly.

As our daughter moves onto primary school, we say farewell to this wonderful nursery. Our daughter has thrived at Sidcup nursery going through each room with love, encouragement and kindness, since she joined shortly after her first birthday. She has developed wonderful life skills and amazes us each
day with her vocabulary.


We could not have wished for a better start to our daughter's education. As a Key Stage 1 primary school teacher, I would certainly recommend this nursery.

I would certainly recommend this nursery extremely highly. I have two children attend this nursery and We have the best experience. The teachers are the sweetest.They have all been so amazing with both of my children who attends this nursery. My daughter had attended a different nursery prior and we
changed to this nursery and so when i had my son I sent him to this nursery at 6 months old as well due to our positive experience. I have no regrets in fact I regret not finding this Nursery earlier! I have no complaints my children absolutely love the nursery and adored the teachers and management. Special thanks to two members of staff. When my kids are at the nursery i have my peace of mind as it feels like home.

Since my daughter joined the nursery, she has developed more confidence and doing really well. She cried so much in her previous nursery but with sidcup day nursery and forest school she didn't take long to settle once she gets that lovely morning cuddle and she knows all the staff by name. Their visits
to the farm is a fantastic experience for her. All in all, it has been a relaxed journey for myself as an anxious mum.

We highly recommend this nursery for its outstanding approach to early childhood education and care. The staff are incredibly supportive, nurturing, and attentive, always creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children.
The range of activities offered is exceptional sports day and engaging
dance classes that encourage physical activity, teamwork, and creativity. The outdoor space is truly impressive, providing children with plenty of room to play, explore, and develop their physical skills.
Additionally, my son loved the nursery's forest school is a fantastic feature, giving children the opportunity to connect with nature, learn about the environment, and enjoy hands-on, outdoor learning experiences.

Our little girl started at Sidcup Day Nursery in the Tots room in September 2024 after having to move suddenly due to a prior nursery unexpectedly closing down.
She's absolutely thriving at the nursery! The staff are all wonderful and so friendly. She loves the crafts and running around with her friends
in the lovely outdoor space, and devours all the delicious meals. And she's a huge fan of the weekly dance class too!
She's come home singing songs, identifying colours, and picking up her counting and alphabet, and she's not yet 2!
As a family we've also loved the Nativity play in the local church, and her art from the year is now hanging on the walls.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Sidcup Day Nursery and Forest School for making her transition so smooth and settling her in so well.

As a parent, it's been a joy to watch my child grow and become so independent at such a young age. She always comes home happy, and we can see how much the staff genuinely care about her. She often speaks so positively about them, which reassures us about the supportive environment she's in.
The staff
have been fantastic in helping us with key transitions, from potty training to managing her fussy eating habits. It's no exaggeration to say that they truly help each child flourish. Their experience, warmth, and dedication give the entire nursery a wonderful family feel. We are really happy with experience in the nursery.

When my daughter joined the school she had just gotten into the UK from Africa. English was the least of her worries, she was clueless and could neither speak or understand it but within a short space of time she now understands and is very confident in front of others. Though at 3 years she can't read,
she is now able to interpret pictures from story books. We look forward to yet another amazing year ahead with the nursery as EVERY member in the facility is loving and very patient with the kids.

We are really happy with Sidcup Day Nursery, our daughter has been attending since September. The staff are very kind and friendly and always have a warm welcome. The garden is our daughter's favourite activity and she's often telling us about how she played in the mud kitchen, collected sticks and
had hot chocolate around the log fire circle. The app allows you to follow your child's day-to-day activities and entries are updated with photos and a breakdown of food eaten that day etc. We would recommend this nursery to our friends and family. Thank you everyone!

I viewed a few nurseries around Sidcup and didn't get the feeling I wanted when I did the walk around. As soon as I went through the door here I felt the warmth. My baby girl started at just 7 months old (as I had to return to work) so you can imagine I was worried about leaving her with people that
weren't family but all the ladies in the baby unit are just lovely. They care for my daughter like she's their own and they have such a good energy every day at drop-off and pick-up. My daughter goes to Rukky with no hesitation in the mornings she loves it so much. Thank you for making the experience so easy and comfortable. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

My son took a while to settle in at nursery but two teachers in particular and the rest of the teachers were very patient and persevered to help him get used to it. Now my son really enjoys coming to nursery to learn and play with his friends. Thank you baby room team!

We did show around at all the local nurseries in Sidcup and the area and this one stood out by a mile - for its genuinely warm atmosphere and the diversity among the staff at all levels. It's clear that this job is more than just work for them - it's a calling. Good vibes all around! It made the decision
an easy one for us.
Since joining, my child's confidence has come on in leaps and bounds and he's become so chatty! Every time I pick him up, he's in the middle of an activity and has the biggest smile on his face.
The staff are really dedicated, passionate and friendly-always taking the time to chat with all family members during collection.
Also, the observations staff post on the app platform are a great insight for us, allowing us to follow our son's progress closely.
As a parent, it's a huge comfort knowing my child is in such capable hands. If you're looking for a friendly and nurturing nursery, I very highly recommend Sidcup Day Nursery!

Looking for childcare for your child can be the most daunting process and for me, it was until I came across Sidcup Day Nursery.
The staff here are exceptional and it's no cliche to say that they really do help your child flourish. The staff are experienced, caring and the whole nursery has a family
feel - we have been gifted with an extended family of aunties.
The nursery is well equipped, with an amazing amount of play space, particularly outdoor play and a forest school! There is always nutritious food served and you cannot fault their educational teaching and trips!
I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention that they have given and the peace of mind they have given me during my child's time there.

It's always a worry when your child first begins nursery, but it was such a positive experience for my son and us as a family.
He always came home happy and we always felt the staff genuinely cared about him he always spoke so positively about them. They were fantastic in helping us with the transition
from nappy to potty training and with his fussy eating habits!
The graduation was amazing, and photos and keepsakes we will treasure forever. We are all sad he now has to move up to big school.

My name is Teena, and I am the preschool Room Leader at Sidcup Day Nursery and Forest School. I hold a level 6 qualification in education, and I am also Montessori trained. I have been a teacher for 9 years. Children are unique beings, and I love being around them to nurture and show them care.


I enjoy doing the things children enjoy: playing, exploring and being creative and having conversations with them, celebrating their little wins such as missing a tooth, their excitement about the tooth fairy, birthdays, holidays and so on.


It gives me great joy as a teacher to impact the lives of children in a positive way, especially when I see children under my watch transition to big school. I feel proud as a teacher to see their progression, how much they grow and blossom.
