Kids Inc Day Nursery - Gravesend

Great nursery who have helped my incredibly shy daughter come out of her shell. Thanks all, especially to one lady who has shown incredible patience and kindness to my daughter. Welcoming and great operating hours make it much easier for me to work.

Good observations and daily detailed report of activities when we pick our son.

My son started attending over the summer and whilst we had initial reservations, there was a particularly good member of the management that managed to put our reservations to rest. I was quite vocal about certain issues (food not in line with dietary requirements, younger children being ignored and left to cry) and was left very assured by the staff members. However, things have just gone from bad to worse! My main issues are with children constantly being left to cry/ignored and the handling of the outbreak of Strep A. Emails were sent out about protocols to be followed and they were not. So many sick children coughing and sneezing and spluttering all over the place.

They also have a duty of care to inform of any Strep A cases. But no, several kids with symptoms and two children that are super ill, on antibiotics, with suspected Strep A - and families not told. My son was in contact with one of the children. I now have Strep A, as does my son and we have been around vulnerable adults.

My daughter is in the process of her settling-in period and is due to start in the new year. She has exceeded my expectations in how she has settled and this is down to the fabulous staff, who have made her feel so welcome. The enriching and inviting environment means she has plenty of opportunities to learn, play and explore. Staff are warm, welcoming and friendly, with smiling faces always greeting us. The outside environment is fantastic and full of exciting things! We can't wait for her to start full-time in January!

My son started this nursery in July and absolutely loves it here. All the staff are amazing with him. So a big thank you to all of you. I know he can be cheeky but he loves you all and I really don't want him to leave in September.

I withdrew my child from this setting as I didn't feel that they were able to cater for his additional needs. I found communication around my child's development to be rather poor. Despite asking to meet with my child's key worker on at least 3 occasions, after 4 weeks of waiting I heard nothing back. I was never informed my child's key worker changed although the change happened weeks before I questioned why I hadn't seen his key worker for a number of weeks. My son's health visitor tried to contact the nursery a number of times to ask a few questions and was never responded to and actually suggested that I change my son's nursery for the sake of his own development as she didn't feel the staff were able to provide for him.

We moved our child from another nursery quite recently. I'm very impressed so far, the standards are vastly greater. The staff are all very polite and very attentive. My daughter's key worker is particularly good and always makes her feel so welcome and settled her in extremely quickly. The facilities are very good and very clean and well looked after. The outside space is particularly impressive. The security of the building also seems designed very well. With high handle doors and key-coded entry.

One member of staff, in particular, is my daughter's favourite person. An amazing woman who helped my daughter to settle in. She gives her time and attention for all children and listens to every child's needs and helps my daughter to love nursery at just 2 years old.

The nursery is always immaculate and the food always looks yummy and nutritious. My little girl has flourished here and we have already signed up my newborn to start next year. 5 stars for Gravesend kids Inc!! Thank you for caring for my girl.

So far I am happy as a patent and excited to see the new things my son learns every day. I would highly recommend this nursery.
