Dunkys Day Nursery (Hapsford)

We cannot express how pleased we are that we chose Dunky's Hapsford as the setting for our child. From our very first walk round, the family feel is evident and all the staff are so friendly and enthusiastic. The manager couldn't do enough to ensure that his transition was smooth and easy for both him and us as first-time parents. Our child has allergies so initially we were worried about how that would affect him during the day. All staff and management were so reassuring and made sure that he would be safe. The cook always makes him amazing food (that he always devours) that suits his allergy needs. Our child loves going to nursery and bounces in every morning and comes home chatty and happy after every day. We love the use of the Famly app to see what he is getting up to and love the observations that the staff do, making us feel so involved in his development journey. We would highly recommend Dunky's Hapsford to anyone looking for a brilliant, family feel nursery.

The Dunky's team at Hapsford always ensure that every day is an adventure! They have fantastic resources for the children to access both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor space is incredible and the children are often outside in all weathers having fun through learning. Updates are provided via the family app which is brilliant! Food is cooked fresh on site and the menu is varied and encourages our boy to try new things. Photos are posted to show what our boy has been up too as well as any comments and questions he has made. I love this feature as it helps my Mum guilt as I can see he's having fun and having the best time!

We live in Ellesmere Port and chose this nursery because it offers so much more than local nursery settings in our area. Our son started when he was 1 he's now 3 years old and is thriving! Our son has special dietary requests and these are taken seriously and reviewed regularly. Dunky's Nursery is the perfect setting for our son to learn, explore and have fun!

My son aged 2.5years started at Dunkys Hapsford in May 2024. The staff have all been incredibly welcoming to him. He settled well into the nursery, he went for a settling-in session every day for a week and on his first full day he happily walked into the nursery and has been very happy and settled since. Communication from the nursery is fantastic, we know exactly how our child is all day when he is there, the app the nursery uses is brilliant. He enjoys a range of activities and being outdoors when there. We are also aware of the progress he makes with updates of photos on the app.

My son is a slow talker and the girls have been supportive of this and have offered us help through a referral to an outside agency. They have worked hard to support his communication. He is happy to arrive and always has a big smile and shouts bye when we leave. The nursery provides lovely activities to support at home which are left in a basket by the door. We are pleased we chose Dunkys for our son.

My little boy has attended since March '21 and he has loved it since day 1. All of the staff are very welcoming, clearly adored by the children and continuously find new exciting activities for the children to take part in. Since becoming part of the Dunkys group of nurseries the nursery has further transformed with a strong focus on inspiring children of all ages to find new ways to learn, at nursery and at home. The recent introduction of weekend books and home learning resources are a fantastic example of this and builds a strong connection between home and the nursery setting. This is a fantastic nursery with a real warmth at the heart of it and a run by a wonderful team.

Hi have two children at Dunky's Hapsford, my daughter started at 10 months old and is now almost 3, and my son has been attending for over 6 months now. Both children absolutely love it there. My daughter was easily and quickly settled in and although it took my son a while to get used to being away from me, they now both run in with huge smiles on their faces. The level of attention that the staff provide to the children is outstanding and both children have developed so much since being at Dunky's. The nursery itself is a great surrounding with lots of outdoor activities including climbing frame. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking to put their child in. An extra benefit is that the nursery offers a short day of 9-3 which not all nurseries offer and is a great benefit to myself and other parents with older children in primary school.

An amazing nursery that makes my little boy's days jam-packed with fun! He is always excited to go in and the staff are wonderful with him. They do a lot of outside play which he loves and keeps you updated on the app which is always helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

The staff at Dunkys (Hapsford) have been amazing with my little boy, when he started they were keen to purchase the same bottles and milk that we use at home. They provide regular updates and he loves going in. We really enjoy the stay and play sessions they do at special events so we can spend some time playing with him in the room and see what he has been up to. We also appreciate the app so we can see how much sleep and food he has had during the day as well as any observations.

I am very happy with Dunkys Day Nursery in Hapsford. Both my children have attended here. They have been well looked after and happy. The staff are lovely. They have sensible illness policies. I would recommend it.

My daughter has been attending Dunkys Day Nursery in Hapsford since 2022, and as a nursery, it’s so organised and well structured, and the staff is so lovely. I would absolutely recommend Dunkys to any parents who are thinking about taking their child to Dunkys because they will love it, it’s a great place for your child to grow as an individual and learn, and parents can be relaxed knowing their child is in safe hands.

My child has been attending since 2022 and he thoroughly enjoys going. The staff are always friendly, professional and greet us with a smile at drop off and pick up. Staff are also approachable and deal with any queries promptly. The activities and resources available for the children inside and outside are plentiful and varied, including a forest school area. The food menu in particular is healthy and offers a range of different options for the children which include lots of vegetables and fruit. At pick-up, you are given a thorough handover of your child’s day which is reassuring and valuable. When I’m away I know that my child is safe and cared for and I would definitely recommend it.

Our little boy started at Dunkys Day Nursery Hapsford in late 2022 after his previous nursery closed. They have welcomed him with open arms and we are so pleased with the transition between nurseries. I receive updates throughout the day via the app, from nappy changes to what food he has had and how much and how many naps he has had - it's amazing. We also receive updates showing what activities the children have done that day, including pictures of our little one. The outdoor space is fantastic! The food is freshly prepared on site and our little boy has got used to lots of new flavours and meals thanks to this. The teachers are great and know what comforts our little boy. They go above and beyond for the children and ensure they have a safe, happy and fun learning environment. They have also invited us in for craft evening and parents evening where it gives us a great opportunity to speak to the teachers and watch our little boy playing. We highly recommend this nursery! 5 stars!

Dunkys Day Nursery in Hapsford is a wonderful place for our little boy to learn about the world. Selecting a nursery is a really important choice for any parent but my heart was warmed from the moment I stepped through the door when we first looked round when our baby was small. You can tell there are decades of love and fun baked into the place. Our little boy has key workers who clearly care about him very much, and are as delighted by his quirks and milestones as we his family are. Outdoor play is integral to nursery life and the children are encouraged to get muddy, splash about and be curious in nature, which is a fantastic way to learn. There is lots of reading, singing and art, and the children are encouraged to do what makes them happy, even if that particular day, what makes them happy is having a cuddle with their key worker reading stories. They also eat incredibly well and the menu is varied and healthy, with a few treats for good measure. An amazing team and place.

I have two children who attend the nursery. I find picking them up to be quick and easy. I really like the app which shows pictures and gives updates on what has been happening at the nursery. The updates always feel personal and it is nice to see how the children are getting on at the nursery.

The staff are amazing - caring, engaged and with an amazing approach to children. Communication on what is going on is clear, and we have a clear overview on what baby is doing, eating etc. The team is looking into the baby development and you can see the progress.
