Purple Lion Day Nurseries (Chingford)

Our daughter has been attending Purple Lion since the setting opened last year and we have been so pleased with the care and attention she has received during this time. Her development with speech, numbers and words has been a joy to see and the intimate setting makes her feel safe and secure while ensuring we feel comfortable in having her there.

None of this could be achieved without the work of the amazing staff who continue to help build our daughter's confidence and ensure each day helps her grow and develop more than the last. The end-of-day updates, picture and reports on our child's development also means we don't miss out on anything and can work with the nursery to keep our little girl happy.

We absolutely love this nursery and we would recommend them to everyone! Thank you Purple Lion team, you do a great job!

I'm delighted with Purple Lion Chingford. My daughter started in October when she was 12 months, and for a variety of reasons it took her a while to settle in. The staff were really helpful and supportive in the difficult transition period. She's now very happy there and usually goes to her key workers with open arms at drop-off! They have a lovely variety of activities and because the nursery is so new the environment is very clean and well-resourced. There's good communication through the app and a weekly observation with photos from her key worker.

Really lovely setting. Our son attended this nursery from just after it opened in July 2022, up to November 2022, when we moved out of the area. It is a smaller and more intimate setting than some of the other nurseries we had seen, which was a plus for us, as we wanted our son to get to know the other children and staff without being overwhelmed. He settled in straight away and was always happy and chatty when I picked him up. The staff are lovely. They always provided a good amount of information on pickup about what he had been doing that day, how he had slept, eaten etc. They have a really good-sized garden filled with toys, which was great as our little one has unlimited energy. Highly recommended!

My daughter started at Purple Lion nursery in June 2022, on the day that it opened. As a brand new nursery, I expected some teething issues, but from the very beginning, she has been completely happy and content there. It's a warm and nurturing environment with a relatively small number of children, and my daughter has a strong bond with her key workers there, all of whom are lovely. They do different activities every week including ballet, football and music, the garden is surprisingly large for the space, and the food is great - she never comes home hungry. We're really pleased with her progress there and very happy we found the nursery just as it opened.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Purple Lion in Chingford. Our little boy joined in July 2022 when he was about 13 months old and he absolutely loves it. He has formed great relationships with the staff and is always full of beans when we collect him. We love that the size of the nursery means he is able to get to know all the staff as well as many of the children in the toddler group too, which has developed his social skills enormously and helps him feel secure in the setting. The staff give us comprehensive in-person updates at the end of the day, which means we can also develop a trusting relationship with them. They call us if they have any concerns and are interested in our son's development and wellbeing outside of his time at nursery. The nursery also has a great outdoor space. We see our son's skills and confidence building every day thanks to the team there and would recommend.
