Little Dragon’s Day Nursery is a state-of-the-art, family-run childcare setting located in the picturesque village of Snitterfield. Little Dragon’s is an inspirational early years setting that has been specially designed to create a superb enabling environment.
At Little Dragon’s Day Nursery, the team strongly believe that when children are allowed to select where, with what and how to play, they are truly invested in their learning, become deeply involved and therefore make dramatic progress (after all, a child’s play is seriously important business!). They strive to ensure that the children in their care are happy and immersed in their surroundings, and in doing so, the children are constantly demonstrating all the skills required to succeed - concentration, creativity, energy and persistence! Through Little Dragon's creative and ‘down to earth’ take on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, children experience diverse and spontaneous child-led activities supported by skilful practitioners that promote early years goals.
At Little Dragon’s, all children are happy and flourish. They encourage and develop lively, enquiring minds and children ascertain a zest for life-long learning. The team does this by enriching children's early years experiences and fulfilling every child’s innate desire to explore and learn. They provide a truly ‘child-focused’ enabling environment that ensures all children are fully immersed in high-quality, purposeful play and are happy, learning and developing at all times. The team are highly qualified and have an excellent understanding of child development. They are nurturing, caring and passionate about what they do and invest time in getting to know each and every unique child ‘inside out’ to ensure that secure bonds are formed and daily interactions are tailored to support children on their individual learning journeys.

Wow, what an incredible nursery and learning space for my daughter to attend. She’s only been going for a month but already she’s making amazing progress and really looks forward to her Monday nursery day and seeing her friends. There is a real emphasis on exploring and learning by play and being...
The people who work at Little Dragon's are amazing and we are kept up to speed with how her day progresses through the app which is always a great highlight of the day!
We are over the moon that she is attending such a special nursery and cannot wait for her development to continue over the coming years.
P.S. All the food is cooked fresh and onsite and her meals and menu each day is really impressive! Small details, but it’s great knowing every aspect of her day is clearly and carefully considered. Thank you Dragons!
I’m disgusted with this nursery. I wouldn’t trust them to look after a house plant let alone a child. The owners only care about the money side of it, they were meant to refund me and have not had anything back. I have been paying for full days 8 till 6 pm and have been told I can’t leave my son...
I’m disgusted with this nursery. I wouldn’t trust them to look after a house plant let alone a child. The owners only care about the money side of it, they were meant to refund me and have not had anything back. I have been paying for full days 8 till 6 pm and have been told I can’t leave my son with them these hours even though I’m paying for it! They don’t care about the staff they employ here, they don’t seem to have much experience with children this age. The staff are liars, they tell me that my son has had a good day and management is telling me staff are refusing to look after my son. Management is a joke, when collecting my son the Manager started crying in front of me and my son and said she can’t cope with him. Very unprofessional with their behaviour towards me and my son. I removed him for his safety. Can not see how they haven’t been shut down.

At Little Dragons Day Nursery, we welcome feedback as an invaluable tool in helping us to continually strive for excellence for children in our care and their families. We do however feel that when a review is simply inaccurate and untrue, we must defend our small family business and the fantastic team who work for us.
• We cared for the child for 13 months and during this period we did not receive any form of complaint prior to this review. The family decided to withdraw their child in February, and we have had no correspondence since. We spoke with the family when they made this decision to leave, and they thanked us for all we had done for them during their time with us.
• We suspect that this spiteful review has been instigated by external factors that have come to light recently and are unfortunately beyond our control.
• To ensure the safety of our nursery community, a meeting was arranged to discuss reducing the number of attended hours. This is in line with our policies and procedures to help support every individual child’s needs. The parents agreed to this approach and subsequently, our manager worked on a 1:1 basis. It was explained that the 1:1 care could not be sustained and that the long-term plan was to integrate the child back into the nursery safely on a 1:8 ratio as per the ratio requirements.
• The January Invoice clearly shows a reduction in fees to account for the reduced hours the child attended. Normal fees resumed in February in line with their revised attendance pattern. At the beginning of February, the parents decided to withdraw the child from our setting. Our Ts&Cs require 1 month's notice and as such the parents were charged accordingly.
• Our manager sustained physical injuries due to being kicked and punched and was therefore crying in pain. This is not unprofessional; this is a natural human reaction when exposed to physical injury.
• Both staff and management are aligned in their approach in providing daily feedback which includes both positive and negative (when necessary) aspects of a child’s day as per our Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy. Serious incidents were also sent to the parents via our communication app as an incident report.
• We encourage prospective parents to review the 40 plus truthful reviews on this site. Please come along for a nursery tour, where you can see for yourself the service we provide for the children in our care. In November 2023 we were rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED.
We genuinely put our all into the service we provide at Little Dragon’s and strongly believe in the benefits of working with parents as partners. We wish this family all the very best for the future.

My eldest joined Little Dragon’s when it very first opened. She is now in Reception class and is confident and thriving at school. She has solid friendships with other children in her class that were formed at nursery. I couldn’t be happier with the support and care that she was given by the Little Dragon's team. My youngest has been there for over two years and is also thriving. He is learning so much that he comes home and shares with us and he is developing amazingly well. The support with things like potty training so far has been great. Again the care he is receiving overall is incredible. The recent Ofsted rating was fantastic and completely justified.
This nursery has been the find of our life! Our little boy has gone from strength to strength, at first he wasn’t confident and wouldn’t nap there, the staff were so patient and kind. This nursery has been the find of our life! Our little boy has gone from strength to strength, at first he wasn’t confident and wouldn’t nap there, the staff were so patient and kind. We are now at the stage where he cannot wait to go in to see his friends and also his key worker! Who he knows by name, taking new toys and teddies in to show her. We get lovely photos / updates on the days he is in via the app and the food is great quality. We did a lot of searching to find the best nursery in our area to leave our boy and I am confident this is the best by a country mile. The facilities are fantastic, and the staff are genuinely caring. Thank you for everything to all.

Given work commitments we had to start childcare at just under 6 months which I was quite apprehensive about but I need not have been. 100% the best decision to start at this age and looking back on it I think I would have started a few days at this stage anyway even if I hadn't needed to return to my job.
Yes, the nursery has fantastic facilities, is clean, excellent food, etc but the thing that has shone through from day 1 is the staff. Everyone is friendly and inviting and treat my daughter as if she were their own child. At the end of the day, you want to leave your child in the care of people who will treat your child as she is treated at home - with the same love and attention. It is easy to invest in a nice space and good facilities, but creating a positive culture takes exceptionally hard work. All the staff seem to genuinely love being there and coming to work. Well done Little Dragons.
Our son attends this nursery and I must say it’s a gem and we feel very lucky that he goes here. The staff are wonderful, caring, attentive, patient and kind and the facilities are brilliant. We wouldn’t have our children go anywhere else.

My son recently started at Little Dragons after being let down by our childminder as she felt he was too unsettled. We were apprehensive about how he would take to a nursery because of this but he has settled in so well! The food he is getting seems really high quality and he seems to enjoy it!...

Our child is so happy after a day at Little Dragons. We have seen them come along leaps and bounds since starting. We love the inspiring and nurturing environment that the staff have created. Our child lives going to the field and playing in the garden. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

The preschool room team really helped to settle her in and feel more confident and her learning has come on massively in the short time she has been there. The fact they get outside every day and have the opportunity for forest school as well is really brilliant. We would definitely recommend Little Dragons to prospective parents.

The staff are really conscientious and give us great feedback, the posts and photos help you understand how and what the children get up to every day, we are so pleased we chose Little Dragons.

From the minute we had our home visit from our amazing key worker back in 2022 we knew we had made the right choice. The staff have got to know our son so well and he is clearly thriving, which the staff regularly acknowledge and celebrate with us. Forest school has been a massive hit and being outside surrounded by nature has always been important to us as a family, and this is clearly important to the Little Dragons team also. Couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My son is now almost 3 and my daughter has been going since 7 months old and she’s now 1. The staff are attentive and caring. And they use an app to update you on meals, sleep and activities. The setting is wonderful with lots of toys and learning resources. There is also a fantastic outdoor space in the baby's room and a large garden space in toddlers. All the children get the opportunity to go out on visits to the local village, and also the field down the road. The nursery celebrates diversity and all cultures often. My children are very happy here and we would definitely recommend it!

The nursery offers a variety of experiences for the children, including music and movement with Zest Tots dance school and weekly forest school sessions in the nursery’s private field.
It’s a wonderful place and we are so pleased with everything the team do for us and our grandson.
They are setting a very high benchmark for all the other nurseries.
We are not going anywhere else.
Keep up the good work.

As soon as we stepped inside and had a tour of The Little Dragon’s Nursery, we immediately knew that we wanted to send our daughter here. It is such a warm, friendly, and happy environment, and we have been so impressed with the whole induction process. The gradual integration and individualised...
All staff are highly professional and welcome you with a smile each morning. They clearly make it a priority to get to know each child and their family members. This really helps to build confidence for all and adds to the nurturing environment. The staff in ‘Babies/Explorers’ have been wonderful. They always take the time to check in with us and keep us in the loop. The chef makes all the food on-site, which adds to the homely feel of the nursery. Parent feedback and input on the menu is also considered. The app is brilliant, enabling us to see regular updates and photos from the day. We couldn’t be happier.

Best decision to move our son to the preschool age 3! Such a nurturing, warm, and positive environment and all the staff are fantastic - both with him and us. The preschool room is fab - amazing people who strike the perfect balance between children having the freedom to play and do what they want to do but also challenging them in accordance with their individual abilities. The ethos and attention on lovely manners and kind behaviour is evident. The time children spend outside as well is fantastic - whether on their forest school day or just exploring and making up their own games in the garden, we really love the importance given to being outside in nature. Also, lots of credit to the chef for his brilliant, varied menu. I know preschool have done activities with him like baking, or exploring unusual fruits and I think it's so positive to see that integration. Our son has settled in so well and we are so thankful we found a place at Little Dragon's.

Amazing nursery, would 100% recommend to anyone.

Little Dragon's Day Nursery is such a wonderful nursery. Our Twin boys (now 3) started attending in March 2022 and we can honestly say that their development since has been outstanding. They started in the baby room and are progressing nicely throughout the stages. The team really know when a child is ready for the next stage. One of our children has both mobility issues and developmental delay, the team at Little Dragons, especially his Key worker and their wonderful SEND coordinator have been instrumental in where he is now, including working with us and various medical/SEND professionals in getting him an EHCP. Having our boys at Little Dragons feels like having an extension to our family, everyone from the owners to their wonderful chef have made a huge difference to us. We know that our children are in the best possible hands, from a family with a disabled child they are a breath of fresh air. We really couldn't imagine life without them.

Kate has always been passionate about working with children and has thoroughly enjoyed flourishing into a proficient practitioner from Early Years Foundation Stage through to the end of Primary School, having gained her Qualified Teacher Status back in 2008.Kate has enjoyed understanding the ‘learning journey’ that children embark on, and is particularly passionate about their early years experiences.
Since becoming a mum to her 3 children, the world of early childhood development has been a journey that she has experienced first-hand and one in which she has absolutely loved being immersed in. Kate finds early childhood development extremely fascinating, and gets an immense amount of reward and job satisfaction when working with children. Providing children with ‘awe and wonder’ learning opportunities is what inspires Kates interactions, she achieves this through knowing the children in her care, and being able to spot those magical moments where you can make a difference and enhance children's learning.
