We had a lovely experience with this pre-school. The staff are caring, attentive and welcoming, and it's clear that they genuinely care about the children and their wellbeing. They create a friendly, supportive environment where children can learn, play and develop at their own pace. The room and outdoor playground aren't particularly large, but the space is well used and there is a lovely variety of books, toys and activities to keep the children engaged and encourage their learning and imagination.
Overall, it's a lovely setting with a warm, nurturing atmosphere. The caring staff are a real highlight, and it's reassuring to know that the children are being looked after by people who are kind, approachable and attentive to their needs.

My little girl joined Aktiva Kingsbrook View Preschool in September 2025, and left to join the Primary school in July 2026. Under the care of the Preschool staff my daughter thrived. She enjoyed going every day and was sad to leave when I picked her up in the evenings as she wanted to stay and play longer! Her knowledge of numbers and letters excelled, and she formed strong relationships with peers and staff. She was able to participate in the school nativity, taking the part of Mary, which she was very proud of.
She was encouraged to be independent with serving herself food, and she developed a love for playing in the mud kitchen, which was something she was very reserved about at first. However, as with many things, she gained her confidence with the support of the staff. Communication with staff was always very strong. They knew my daughter really well and always spoke to me immediately when an issue arose. I would definitely recommend the Preschool, my daughter loved it.

Both of my children attended this setting, and I'm so pleased to say that they absolutely thrived during their time there. They built strong foundations, developed wonderful friendships, and were supported by such a warm and caring team. It genuinely felt like we were leaving our little ones with extended family. I always knew they were safe, happy and cared for as though they were their own. Terri is a fantastic leader, and her team are a wonderful bunch. Emma always greeted us at the door with a smile, and it was clear to see how much the children trusted, respected and admired her. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our children. If we had more children, they would absolutely attend here again. I would highly recommend this setting to any parent looking for a warm, caring and nurturing environment for their little ones.

I honestly cannot recommend Aktiva Kingsbrook View Preschool highly enough. Both of my children attended the setting, and watching them grow, develop and thrive during their time there has been incredible. From the moment they started, they were surrounded by such a loving, caring and nurturing team who genuinely get to know each child as an individual. The staff have always gone above and beyond to make my children feel safe, valued, supported and confident, and I have always felt that they truly cared about them rather than simply caring for them. Both of my children have come on so much during their time at Aktiva, not just academically but socially and emotionally too. They have been encouraged to explore, learn, be themselves and develop their own little personalities, and the confidence they gained from their experiences there has been amazing to see. As a parent, knowing that your children are happy and genuinely excited to go into their setting is priceless.

All three of my children went to Kingsbrook Preschool. My eldest is 8 and youngest 5. They each thrived and loved their preschool. They reached big milestones there and couldn't have been more prepared for 'big school'. I was very supported, informed and reassured during their time there. We cried when they left as it's such an important time in their lives with the Aktiva staff playing a huge role in how far they had come. The staff were a pleasure to see each day and made me feel my children were in the safest hands they could be when not in mine. Communication was never a problem. My eldest til this day still has such fond memories of her time there and some members of staff will always be very close to our hearts and we're forever thankful for. I really can't praise the team there enough.Never an issue or concern in all the years my children attended. I hope the Aktiva team know how grateful and admired they are by me and I always have and always will recommended them to other mums

Terri is the Pre-School Manager at Kingsbrook View. She holds an NVQ Level 3 and a Level 3 qualification in special educational needs (SEN) and is currently working towards a Level 5 qualification. With more than 20 years of experience in early years, Terri is also the setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and works alongside the Deputy Manager as one of its SENCOs.
