Hertford Barns

Lovely place for my son to be he loves it there and he loves the staff. He has come a long way since he started here and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Out of all the nurseries we visited, this was definitely the best 1. I highly recommend any parent bringing their kids here.

My daughter has absolutely loved her time at Hertford Barns. The facilities and quality of the nursery are outstanding. Staff are caring and know every child, I never have any concerns about leaving her there. The food is great and she often has seconds! They do an amazing range of activities and there are always plenty of books, toys and games out. Children are encouraged to play outside in all weathers. I will really miss taking my daughter there!

The facilities at Hertford Barns are so lovely, there’s fantastic outside space and activities for the children and a really nice feel to each of the rooms. There’s constant updates of toys/books and the staff are lovely and friendly. They take there time to get to know each child and children not even specific to there rooms. So far we’ve had a really positive experience at Hertford Barns and would recommend! The sheep in the fields behind are a great value add to the whole place and my child loves it!

They currently have lambs on site and our little girl absolutely loves going out to feed them when in nursery. She always has a great day and I couldn’t recommend the barns more if I tried.

We are incredibly happy with Hertford Barns. Our little girl has truly flourished in the setting. Every morning when I tell her it's nursery day, she is always so excited to go. Her key worker has such a wonderful relationship with her. They always give each other big hugs when they see each other in the morning. My little ones' language and social skills have developed so quickly once starting nursery. They always have great exciting activities each day for them. Currently, they have lambs at the nursery, which is such a wonderful learning opportunity. We feel incredibly lucky that she has such an enriching environment to play in. My daughter always enjoys her time at nursery. She enjoys the food, the activities and all the girls that work there. My daughter broke her elbow last year and the team were quick to do a risk assessment and appoint more staff to ensure she didn’t hurt herself further whilst at nursery.

My daughter has attended Hertford Barns for just over a year now and we couldn’t be happier. She enjoys her time there and her key person/the team in her room are excellent with carrying on her physio whilst she is at nursery. She has developed so much whilst attending here so far and we couldn’t imagine sending her to another nursery. The facilities are clean and the room has a door leading to a separate outdoor space, giving the children the choice to play indoors or outdoors. I would recommend Hertford Barns to anyone looking to send their child to a nursery in this area.

The staff are amazing here; they are all very friendly and attentive. Our daughter settled very quickly and loves her key worker. I feel very confident with all the staff who look after our nearly 2-year-old girl.

The Barn has truly been a blessing for my family. While both of my children have attended this franchise, my experience at 'The Barn' surpasses all others. The staff's dedication is truly phenomenal. My daughter, who joined at 9 months, not only feels at home but eagerly opens her arms to the caring staff. The nurturing environment and exceptional care provided by the team at 'The Barn' make it the best choice for any parent seeking a top-notch nursery experience. The setting is immaculate, with a no-shoes policy that stands out from other nurseries in WGC. The beautiful garden and spacious, traffic-free surroundings provide a breath of fresh air for the kids, enhancing their overall experience. Looking forward to the next few years.

My child has been attending Hertford Barnes Nursery for nearly two years now. It has been a delight from the beginning. All the staff are very kind and nurturing. He particularly loves the outdoor space which is large and has different toys/activities. I receive updates on the app where I can see he is having a great time, this is very reassuring. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Both of my children attended/attended Hertford Barns. They loved their time here and always felt/feel so welcomed, happy and safe. The team strikes such a great balance between professional and personal and it's clear the care of the children comes first.

Our son has been attending since spring 2023 and we’ve been so impressed with the care he’s received. The staff are kind, enthusiastic and caring, taking great care to build strong bonds with the children and build a safe and welcoming environment for them with lots of activities. Our son struggled a lot with separation around the time of starting, but the team were fantastic at helping him get settled and easing him into things while giving him lots of support. He’s so much more confident now and loves getting involved in crafts and outdoor fun. The spaces are fantastic, you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into the rooms and gardens, and there’s a great range of activities, with staff always making sure to find objects or tasks that match children’s interests. Communication is great too and staff are always quick to respond to questions and keep us updated with news and important info. Overall a lovely nursery where children are supported, encouraged & well looked after.

Hertford Barns is an amazing nursery. Our son has been attending now for just over a year. He has found it hard to settle in the mornings but when I pick him up he has always had the best day and his development is noticeable since attending. The staff are incredibly kind and caring and always are so helpful. The building itself is a great set up with each room having access to a garden with real grass. The nursery always offers a range of nutritious meals and cater to dietary requirements. Overall could not recommend Hertford Barns enough to any family.

I couldn’t be happier with how my son has settled into the Preschool at Hertford Barns! He’s been with the nursery for just over a month and there’s been a transformation in the way he talks about nursery and engages when we ask him about his day. The staff are incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and kind, and the setting is really picturesque. It’s the perfect location for enquiring minds! I’d recommend this nursery wholeheartedly!!

Our daughter has been attending Hertford Barns for the past 9 months. During this time we have been so impressed by the consistently kind, enthusiastic and compassionate care the staff have shown towards our daughter (and indeed towards us parents, when needed!) We have felt thoroughly supported from the settling-in process to the current day and have always been helped to feel that no question is too small. Staff are warm, personable and good communicators. Our daughter has formed close and secure bonds with her key people. It’s also lovely to see the effort staff from other areas make to know each child’s name. The atmosphere at Hertford Barns feels positive and safe. The environment itself is beautiful and it’s plain to see how children thrive here.

Reall lovely nursery. Children actually running around outside in an expansive playground and not bloating indoors. Good sensible food and top quality staff. Right balance of control and freedom and fun and early learning. Also a very good atmosphere in this rural location.
